I'm glad Philip isn't trying to keep this to himself or wait til he gets home to talk to Chloe. Now hopefully she won't have any dumb ideas about how he should put the job over her.

As much as I don't like Chloe and don't think her and Philip are a super-couple, I'm proud of Philip for standing up to Victor. Family comes first. It is not mandated that the older generation picks who the younger generation starts a new family with.
While I can understand Victor's point of view declining numbers for that division because of Philip being otherwise occupied ( and I'm not talking about the kidnapping), I do find it hard to believe that that is the ONLY reason. He would have to show me some hard proof or a definite trend/timeline of events in Philip's life compared to the numbers. I think it's a pretty safe bet that Titan's numbers fluctuated based on what was going on in Victor's family life over the years.
Now to see if Chloe jumps to conclusions yet again or if she actually listens to Philip and lets him finish a sentence.

Chapter 8b
Philip paced back and forth behind his desk until Chloe finally arrived. It was only about five minutes, but it felt like an eternity to him.
“Philip, what’s going on?”
He lifted his chin and motioned. “Close the door.”
She shut the door. “You’re scaring me.” He crooked his finger as he walked toward her. “Philip.” He embraced her and she could feel the emotion in his body. Her own anxiety rose as she wrapped her arms around him and squeezed him tight. “Philip, talk to me, honey. What’s going on?”
His eyes closed. “Nothing, I just want to hold you.” He could feel the distress diminish as Chloe comforted him. He needed this moment after the day he had. He needed someone who was on his side 110 percent.
“Philip?”
“Just let me hold you a minute longer,” he said quietly. Chloe nodded against his shoulder.
He leaned away and took her hands, and guided her toward the sofa. Chloe’s eyes were filled with concern as they took a seat.
He stroked her face and smiled sadly. It took him a moment to collect his thoughts and figure out exactly what he wanted to say. “Well, you’re looking at the soon-to-be ex-CEO of Titan Media.”

I'm glad that Philip's stress level is decreasing now that Chloe is by his side. I wonder if he will tell her the whole truth about Victor's ultimatum. Will there be previews Kpatch? |

Am I the only one who hopes Chloe storms out to give Victor a piece of her mind? But I hope (and think) that no matter what she does regarding Victor, Chloe will be very supportive of Philip.
Will we have previews, boss?

Chloe is horrified when Philip breaks the news. She’s even more shocked when she hears about the succession plan.
Philip makes a request, which Chloe agrees to at first. But she finds herself unable to comply.
