I'm looking forward to Chloe's reaction and their first dance. Thanks Kpatch.

If the whole audience, Chloe included, wasn’t boo-hooing, I may be upset. 😉
Thanks, boss!

Chapter 29c
Halfway through the song, Philip held out his hand again and, when Chloe took it, he pulled her into his arms on the dance floor. The guitarist continued playing and Philip sang the rest of the song as they danced.
He kissed her softly when he finished singing the lyrics. The guests applauded and the bridal party stood up and cheered.
The bride and groom remained on the dance floor as the next song began.
The bandleader waved the other guests onto the dance floor. “Philip and Chloe would like to invite all their friends and family to join them on the dance floor.”
Philip held Chloe in his arms and gazed into her eyes as they slow-danced to I Need You. “So, Mrs. Kiriakis…”
Her eyes closed partway. “Mmm. Say that again.”
“Say what? … Mrs. Kiriakis?”
“I love that name.”
“Good, because it’s yours forever,” he chuckled. “Tell me, beautiful, is this the wedding you’ve been dreaming about since we were sixteen?”
“No.”
“No?”
Running her hand up and down his back, she added, “It’s been far beyond my wildest dreams. I’ll remember it always, Philip, especially the song.”
“So, you liked it?”
“I adored it. Except, I feel like I should have been the one who wrote a song for you, considering I’m supposed to be the singer in the family.”
“Tell you what. You can write the song for our first anniversary.”
She smiled broadly. “You’ve got a deal. … But I still can’t believe you actually chose to sing,” Chloe said with awe.
Philip brushed her cheek with his knuckles. “What can I say? I was inspired.”
“That was amazing, Philip,” Chloe said tearfully. “I’ve never heard a more beautiful song, and you sang it so perfectly.”
“Think Titan should market it?” he joked.
“No, silly, I think it should stay ours alone, just yours and mine.”
“I think that’s a good decision, Mrs. Kiriakis. That’s why we pay you the big bucks,” he joked. He rubbed his nose against hers and glanced down at her dress. “You know, you look as beautiful today in white as you did in red, that first time I saw the real you.”
“Oh Philip, you saw the real me long before that night,” she sighed and placed her hand on his chest. “Oh, that line in your song about the story of your life ending the day I leave? What was that about?”
“I admit that was an odd choice of lyric, but all I meant was that my life never felt complete whenever we were apart. The story only feels real when we’re together.” “That’s good,” she said softly while playing with his lapel. “Because I’m never leaving, Soldier.”
“Works for me,” he said. “Because that means our story is never going to end.”

Great ending! I'm glad that Philip and Chloe have finally "arrived" so to speak, that their future finally looks bright.

What a beautiful perfect ending! I'm so happy they danced to I Need You. I love Chloe saying that Philip saw the real Chloe before she wore the red dress to the Last Blast. Thanks Kpatch!!

Thank you so much, everyone, for accompanying me on this long, tortured, sometimes frustrating, and ultimately romantic journey. Your comments, readership, and loyalty warm my heart! I’m so happy you loved the story and it gave you “all the feels” as melly said. It was supposed to. Did you know it started nearly 7 years ago with After the Fall, the first part of this saga?
For those of you who are addicted to Phloe like I am, there will be more Phloe stories in the future, so don’t go far!
Meanwhile, we’re going to take a little break from Phloe, but not from storytelling. Up next is a different yet (hopefully) satisfying story centering on a different character. Forgive the immodesty, but I think you’ll like it better than the story currently airing for this longtime favorite.
Check back a little later. I will be posting a quick quiz about the Story of My Life.

I always enjoy your stories better than what is currently airing!
You made me root for Phloe and I never really cared about them on screen.

25,000 imaginary points goes to the first person to get this right.
From a character standpoint, what was the purpose of this final installment of the After the Fall saga?
