I'm glad Maggie realizes something is wrong. I'm looking forward to what she has to say about and to Victor.

Chapter 9b
Maggie looked at Philip and cocked her head. “You look tense, Philip. Everything okay with you?”
Philip nodded slowly. “Sure.”
“You’re not exactly convincing me, but if you don’t want to talk about it, I won’t pry.” She slipped her shoe back on. “I can see you’re preoccupied and I don’t want to keep you. I wasn’t sure where Victor was situated, so I came to your office first.”
“That’s fine,” he said, forcing himself to smile. He tried to lighten his tone but ended up sounding insincere. “If you want, I can take you to him. He’s just a few steps away in Conference Room A.”
Maggie rose to her feet. “Thank you.” She touched Philip’s arm. “I was thinking, since we’re only in Chicago for a quick trip, we could all go to dinner tonight — you, Chloe, Parker, me and Victor.”
Philip looked at his watch just to kill time as he formulated an answer. He was not about to sit across from his father at dinner. Not tonight and probably never again. “Chloe’s downstairs with Parker,” he said, intentionally avoiding the question. He clicked a few keys on his computer. “I’m sending her an instant message to let her know you’re here and we’re on our way down. You can give Parker his presents before I take you to see Dad.”
Philip straightened up and was about to say something else when Chloe’s voice came over the paging system. “And that is exactly what I want to talk to you about.”

Chapter 10a
Chloe picked up a notepad from the conference table and slammed it down on the middle of the table, unaware she just hit the key on the conference phone that enabled the paging system. “And that is exactly what I want to talk to you about.”
Victor folded his arms and raised a brow. Having tangled with Victor before, Chloe knew his tactics well. He was baiting her and she wasn’t backing down. He wasn’t going to get away with what he was doing to Philip, not this time.
“Go for it, Victor,” she said defiantly. “I don’t care. You can threaten to fire me all you want. Just shows what kind of man you are if you’d fire your grandson’s mother—”
“And father.”
She squinted at him. “You are one son of a bitch.”
“That’s all I needed to hear. Taking a page from my favorite television program, The Apprentice—Chloe, you are fired.”
“You can do what you want to me, I’ll manage but—” She felt herself choking up and she really didn’t want to show any weakness to Victor. Her tone softened, even though she didn’t want it to. “But don’t fire Philip. He doesn’t deserve it. He has worked so hard and sacrificed so much.”
“Ha!”
Her anger rose, replacing her tears. “He has. He’s sacrificed time with his family to get this company to where it is today, to get it to be competitive with Apple and Amazon. Thanks to Philip, Titan is back in the Fortune 100. Would it kill you to acknowledge that fact?”
Victor shrugged. “You needn’t quote Fortune to me. I’m well aware of where this division stands. And I’ll have you know that I would be more than happy to let Philip keep his job. He merely has to comply with the terms which, thus far, he refuses to, fool that he is.”
Chloe’s brow knit. “Terms? What are you talking about?”

The whole company is gonna know now. Though it would have been preferable for Chloe to know ahead of time and not be blindsided.

Looks like the whole of Titan is about to hear this argument. Can we please have previews, Kpatch?
