I hope the exposure isn't for too long at a time. If Parker is barely talking he is not ready to go back to day care yet for very long, and doing so will set him back. Plus it's not fair to the day care workers to have to look after a child with serious mental health issues who isn't talking, may cause problems for other children, or attempt to run away, as they probably aren't trained to deal with it.
I'm glad Mary is there though, and hopefully she can get through to Chloe.

Hmmm. What I don't know about psychology would fill a lot of books, but maybe it's a good idea to get Parker back in his regular routine. If he's feeling unsettled, the sooner he's following his normal schedule the faster he feels like things are stable? Although I definitely understand why Chloe and Philip don't want to take him back..,I'd be reluctant, too. A little surprised that Dr Richards wasn't more concerned about Parker's silence, but perhaps his behavior isn't unusual? I am waiting to hear what Dr Richards has to say about what Philip just told her.......and how Chloe reacts.

Glad Philip told her that. Hopefully Mary can bring these people back to their senses.

Well I am not sure I agree Parker should go back there Maybe a different daycare? I can't see a parent wanting to put their faith into a place where this happened In the first place Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not sure how I feel about that advice I hope Mary calls Chloe out She needs to be told what a spoiled diva she's acting like

I think weaning Parker back into his normal routine is a good idea. Start with an hour or two and then build up from there until he's staying all day. I would be completely apprehensive about returning him to a daycare that let him walk out with someone else, BUT - this is Titan's day care. Philip has the highest authority to make procedural changes that will help ensure the safety of all the children there....not just Parker.
I'm so glad that Philip came right out and told Mary. And I really like that he didn't beat around the bush about it. Seems that Philip is more at ease with Mary than Chloe is. I almost have to wonder if Chloe is also blaming Mary for Parker's kidnapping - since it did happen on Mary's watch.

I agree with Mary. Parker is still very young and will be more resilient. It likes the saying when you fall off the horse you get right back on. If they wait too long, Parker may never get over this. Yes, take it slow and gradual. He will see friends and that will help.

Chapter 34b
Mary looked from Chloe to Philip to Chloe again. “What’s going on with you two?”
“What? Nothing,” Chloe said.
Mary scowled. “You’re forgetting who you’re talking to. Parker is only part of the reason I came here today. I wanted to check in with the two of you as well. What happened didn’t only happen to Parker, it happened to his parents too.”
Chloe wouldn’t meet Mary’s eye, but Philip said, “Yeah, I guess things could be better.”
“Go on.”
He looked at Chloe. “Chloe basically told me we’re finished.”
"Oh?" Mary cocked a brow. “I would strongly advise against making any life-changing decisions right now.”
Still not looking at Mary, Chloe said, “That’s what Philip said too.”
“Chloe, we talked about this last night, remember? Parker needs the both of you. He needs his family, his safety net. This is not negotiable.”
Chloe finally looked up. “Fine, I can put up a facade, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to get over—”
“Get over what?” Mary asked.
“The fact that it was Monica,” she blurted out. “And Philip had a relationship with her.”
“I did not have a relationship with that woman!” He raised his voice louder than he intended.
“I didn’t mean that kind of relationship. I meant you knew her,” she clarified. “She was your intern, and she was in love with you. You were supposed to keep your distance, but you didn’t.”
“She hasn’t worked for Titan for nearly a year,” Philip sighed, clearly weary of a conversation they’d been over and over, starting with their breakup nearly two years ago. “And as soon as I realized what was going on, I got her moved to another company in another state. You know that! We were in it together.”
Chloe put a hand over her eyes.
“Let’s get off this merry-go-round, shall we?” Mary interjected. “I feel like this is where I came in, exactly where we were when I first met the both of you. What happened to the progress we made?” Mary placed her hand on Philip’s arm. “I’d like a moment alone with Chloe.”
Philip nodded and rose to his feet. “I’ll go see what Parker is doing.”
“Don’t hover, Philip,” Mary called as he walked down the hall. “And don’t push. Give him space.” Turning back to Chloe, Mary said, “Remember that man you dated after you and Philip reconciled?” When Chloe knit her brow, Mary said, “You met him in the lobby coffee shop and he wouldn’t take no for an answer?”

I'm glad Mary is confronting Chloe about the way she's behaving.

I can't decide who the child is Parker the actual child who's been through something traumatic or his childish mother who doesn't have a good enough excuse IMO to behave the way she is

Yes!!!!! Dr Richards got it exactly right....it's like all the progress we thought they'd made just vanished! I hope we hear what she says to Chloe...

I'd like to know what happened to all the progress they made, as well. I get Chloe is upset, and I don't expect her to be totally okay after her child had just been kidnapped for a few hours by a crazy woman, but to blame Philip for that simply because this woman had an unhealthy obsession with him is a bit extreme.

Man this Chloe is so fragile. I don't understand how Philip can even continue to love her as she is so cruel to him. But he does so hopefully Mary can right this ship the way it should be especially for Parker's sake.

Boy I sure hope that Mary gives Chloe a good dose of reality.
How would Chloe feel if Philip blamed Chloe for Parker not wanting to stay at his home and wanting to go stay with Daniel because of their past? I'm tired of Chloe trying to play the victim and blame Philip for the state that their marriage is in.

Chapter 35a
Turning back to Chloe, Mary said, “Remember that man you dated after you and Philip reconciled?” When Chloe knit her brow, Mary said, “You met him in the lobby coffee shop and he wouldn’t take no for an answer? Glen, was it?”
“Oh right. Grant. Grant Lawrence.”
“Grant, right. I couldn’t remember his name.” She tapped Chloe’s arm. “Suppose it was him, that he was the one who kidnapped Parker?”
“Oh god. That would be—”
“And suppose Philip blamed you because you went out on a date with Grant?”
“Well, that wouldn’t be reasonable,” Chloe said defensively. “It’s not like I encouraged Grant or gave him access to Parker or anything.”
Mary was silent, letting Chloe’s response hang in the air. After a minute, she said, “Isn’t it the same with Philip and Monica? Is your anger with him tied to all that time you spent absolutely certain that Philip was having an affair with her when he wasn’t doing anything of the kind.”
“No this is separate,” Chloe said quickly.
“Chloe, you and I spent a lot of time talking about how you sabotage your happiness. But right now, I’m talking to you, not just as your therapist, but as someone who cares about you, all three of you.” She touched Chloe’s wrist. “Chloe, look at me. What you and Philip and Parker just went through is horrible. Don’t compound it by coming up with reasons to push Philip away. He’s been through hell too. Did you ask him what happened after the listening device went dead?”
Swiping at a tear, Chloe nodded. “Nothing happened. What we heard was pretty much all of it.”
“Thank goodness.” Mary exhaled. “Honey, think about what I’m saying, okay?”
Chloe’s lip quivered. “I’ll try.”
“I’m going to go talk to Philip for a bit.” Chloe nodded and Mary gently said, “Take Parker to your office tomorrow, if only for an hour. See how he acts and reacts. Don’t make him stay if he doesn’t want to. It’s just the first step in the process of healing for him. I’ll have my cell on me if you need me. Either way, call me and let me know how it goes.” Mary patted Chloe’s thigh as she got up off the couch. “And call my office to make an appointment, not just for Parker, but for couples counseling too. You have a different process for healing than Parker does. We need to get you and Philip back on track.”
