I don't think Chloe understands anything She's mad at what might have happened but mad that he said he couldn't and brought Parkers safety in it Philip had no chance She was out for blood no matter what he answered And I think it's rude that he was trying to say something and she took a call from Daniel and dismissed him She needs help with her head as she has issues As for Philip he needs a better partner Chloe doesn't deserve him at all

Chloe doesn't have a clue. She wanted Parker back no matter what it took. Now that she knows what it possibly took, she doesn't like it and I can see her holding that against Philip. I do think that it is a conversation that needs to be had, but now is not the time. Their focus needs to be on Parker. I'm not against Daniel calling to check on Parker. However, her choosing Daniel's phone call over the conversation with Philip isn't going to help matters at all.

I still think Chloe blames Philip for bringing Monica into their lives. She just doesn't trust him.

I think they all need some rest and time to process everything after yesterday's ordeal.

Chapter 33
After checking on Parker, Philip went into the master bedroom and sat on his side of the bed, while Chloe lied on the other side.
“My heart hurts,” he said quietly, not sure if she was sleeping. Even if she couldn’t hear him, he felt the need to say it. “I blame myself for what Parker went through. It feels like nothing will ever be the same again, like we’ll never be happy again.”
Chloe rolled over and faced Philip. “I feel the same way.”
“I can’t leave, Chloe. I won’t leave Parker. I can move into the guest room if you want me to, but—”
“I think that would be a good idea,” she said softly.
Philip looked at Chloe with surprise, but deep down he wasn’t surprised at all. He reached for her hand and squeezed it. “We’ll get through this somehow. I promise.”
Tears filled Chloe’s eyes and she looked like she wanted to say something, but she didn’t respond. Instead, she closed her eyes. Tears spilled down the sides of her cheeks and he sat and watched them dry as she fell asleep. He laid down next to her for what might be the very last time and fell asleep.
*
Philip shot up in bed. He heard a noise. Chloe was still asleep, so Philip got up and rushed across the hall to check on Parker. The boy was lying in bed on his back playing with his X-box controller. Philip was about to say something to him when he heard a knock at the front door. Aha, that was the noise that woke him up.
He smoothed back his hair and tucked his polo shirt into his pants on his way to the door. “Mary.”
“I hope it’s okay I came without calling first. I cancelled my appointments this afternoon. How’s Parker?”
Philip tilted his head. “Not great. He hasn’t said a word today.”
Mary touched Philip’s arm. “That’s not unusual after what he went through. Is he in his room?”
Philip nodded. “Yeah. Go on ahead.”
“Where’s Chloe?”
“Taking a nap.”
“I’d like to talk to both of you after I see Parker.”
“We’ll be here,” Philip said.

I'm glad Mary came by.
I'm not glad that Chloe wants Philip to stay in the guest room.

I hope Mary tells Chloe how ignorant she is I find it hard to sympathize with her as she really makes it difficult to route for her She actually has no remorse what so ever for what Philip went through at all and and instead makes him feel responsible on top of it I find that unbelievable

Why should Philip have to stay in the guest room? Monica sexually assaulted him! I know, Chloe doesn't get that, but she's not really trying. I get this is hard for her, but it's equally as hard for Philip. I'm glad Mary stopped by. Maybe she can talk some sense into these people. Can we please have previews, Kpatch?

I'm taking some comfort in the fact that Chloe didn't just kick Philip out...and that Dr Richards is here!!! And previews would be great....hint hint.

Seriously? Ii understand this is traumatizing for everyone involved, but Chloe is doing absolutely nothing to help overcome any of this. She basically said that she blamed him when she did/said nothing to contradict Philip's admission.
I'm so glad that Mary stopped by.

Thanks everyone for reading and commenting this week. I just want to clarify one thing: There was no sexual assault. Monica did not sexually assault Philip. She tried to blackmail him into sex, but nothing happened other than a kiss, which is not sexual assault.
Here’s what’s coming up this week…
Previews
Mary has a prescription for Parker.
She sees right through Chloe and Philip’s facade. Mary and Chloe have an impromptu session.

Chapter 34a
After about 20 minutes, Mary returned to the living room. “Coffee?” Philip asked from the kitchen.
“Thanks.” She took the cup and added some milk and sugar. He gestured toward the living room sofa and she followed him there.
Setting his cup on the coffee table, he asked her, “How’s Parker?”
“He’s having some normal post-traumatic reactions. From what I observed when he first got home, he still felt unsafe, which isn’t surprising.”
Chloe walked into the room, a little groggy. “Mary, hi. When did you get here?”
About a half hour ago. I spent some time with Parker. I was just telling Philip that he’s going through some normal after-effects of his ordeal.”
“Did he actually talk to you,” she asked, “because he wouldn’t talk to me.”
“Not much. I’m going to try again before I leave, but the little he did say was very telling. He’s still feeling unsettled, like he’s not really home yet. He seems to feel like he’s not home to stay.”
“Oh my poor angel.”
“And he made it clear he doesn’t want to go back to day care.”
“Of course, I’m not taking him back there.” Chloe agreed.
“I think you should,” Mary said.
Philip’s eyes widened. “What? You told him last night he didn’t need to go back there.”
“Last night, he needed reassurance. Today, he needs to recharge. Tomorrow, you should bring him back to your office and let him get reacclimated. He needs to face his fears. He needs to get back to a normal routine.”
“Face his fears? He’s five!” Chloe said incredulously. “He got kidnapped from Titan's day care center!”
“All the more reason he should go. I’m not saying he should spend the entire day in the day care, but he should be re-exposed to the environment to help him get past his fear. Kids are more resilient than adults which means he can get over it sooner.” Mary looked from Chloe to Philip to Chloe again. “What’s going on with you two?”
“What? Nothing,” Chloe said.
Mary scowled. “You’re forgetting who you’re talking to. Parker is only part of the reason I came here today. I wanted to check in with the two of you as well. What happened didn’t only happen to Parker, it happened to his parents too.”
Chloe wouldn’t meet Mary’s eye, but Philip said, “Yeah, I guess things could be better.”
“Go on.”
He looked at Chloe. “Chloe basically told me we’re finished.”
