SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
David and Julie were making their way out.
DAVID: Please, don't roll your eyes at me, mother. As much as I loved spending time with you and Doug, you knew I wasn't going to be staying with you permanently.
JULIE: I don't see why not. There's plenty of room at the Martin Mansion. We could easily accomidate you, as we have been for months. Besides, it's technically your birthright to stay there.
DAVID: I understand that, mother. And I like the place just fine, but it's time for me to get out and explore the town. I need to find my own place. I'm a grown man. Heck, my son is a grown man. There's nothing wrong with the Martin Mansion at all, but it's just not for me.
JULIE: And why not?
DAVID: It just isn't. It's not my style.
JULIE: Well, you're certainly not moving back into that little thing Scotty and Billie call a house.
DAVID: I wasn't even thinking about that. Scott and Billie were nice enough to put up with me for a while, but even I knew that they needed some private time. That's why I came to stay at the Mansion. But, like I said, it's just not my scene.
JULIE: So what exactly is your “scene”, then, David?
DAVID: Well, I'm looking into apartments.
JULIE: Apartments? Are you insane?
DAVID: There's nothing wrong with apartments, mother. I've found a nice one right near the Mansion, so it'll be close by if you and Doug want to visit.
JULIE: And how exactly do you plan to get around? You certainly can't walk everywhere in Salem, not with your leg still healing.
DAVID: I'm gonna buy something so I can drive.
JULIE: David Banning, don't you dare even think about buying another motorcycle!
David sighed.
DAVID: Mother, I am a grown man. I can buy whatever I want. But, if you must know, no, I wasn't thinking about buying another bike. I just need to find a car that fits me.
JULIE: Wonderful. I'll take you car shopping tomorrow.
DAVID: I appreciate that, I really do, but Scott's already volunteered to take me. Tomorrow's his day off.
JULIE: Oh, I see. Well, in that case, I'll come with you. It'll be a family affair.
David rolled his eyes.

DIMERA MANSION
It had been a few days since the meeting with Thomas Banks.
CHAD: I just find it hard to believe that you're actually okay with this.
ANNA: Why shouldn't I be? We have an ISA agent, a PI and the police commissioner on our side.
TONY: If Thomas tries anything, which he no doubt will, we'll hopefully be able to put a stop to it with minimal damage.
CHAD: I wish I had your confidence.
TONY: I'm actually rather glad you're here to balance us out. While we should be confident, we can't get too cocky. No doubt André will have planned some things we're not expecting along the way.

Goodness, Julie! What part of your son being a grown man do you not understand? And I thought Jennifer can be overbearing!

Excited to see how this counterplan against Thomas goes. I'm glad Tony realizes that Andre will not be easy to stop.

I wonder what this plan is that Tony has. I'm hoping that Chad isn't under Andre's control and reporting back to Andre on all of this.....

I loved the scene with David and Julie. It was 100% in character from discussing the Martin Mansion as David's birthright to David saying it's not his scene, to Julie worrying David's going to buy another motorcycle. Great dialogue!

Chapter 263

SALEM PLACE
Jan and Jade were walking around Salem Place. Jade was pushing baby Emmy in a stroller.
JADE: You still haven't answered my question yet.
JAN: Which question? You ask about fifty a day.
JADE: What happened to my father?
Jan rolled her eyes.
JAN: Not this again.
JADE: I'm sorry, but I need to know! Don't you think I deserve to know?
JAN: I just don't know if you're ready yet.
JADE: Oh, come on! I'm seventeen and I already have a kid. Whatever happened with you and my dad can't be that bad.
Jan thought back to how Paul Mendez had died...

HOSPITAL – PUERTO RICO – FLASHBACK
Jan was shaking. She was still recovering from what Paul had done to her, and was in shock at having shot him. Shawn-D was holding her. They heard a commotion from the operating room and stood up. The door burst open, and there was Paul, bleeding profusely, and with Nicole in a chokehold. He looked over and pointed at Jan.
PAUL: I'll kill you!
Shawn-D pulled Jan closer, and Paul was soon pulled back into the operating room by two of the nurses. A few minutes later, the nurses and a doctor came out.
DOCTOR: We lost him.
JAN: He...he's dead?! Oh god! Shawn, I'm a murderer!

SALEM PLACE
JADE: Hey, where'd you go just there?
JAN: Look, you're not ready to know what happened to him yet.
JADE: When will I be?

SAMI & LUCAS' APARTMENT
Sami and Lucas were getting ready for dinner.
SAMI: Dad called. He, John, Uncle Steve and Tony had a meeting with Thomas the other day.
LUCAS: How'd that go?
SAMI: As well as can be expected, I guess. He says they have reason not to trust him, and I can't say that I blame him.
LUCAS: You think he's working for André?
SAMI: I don't know if Thomas is working for anyone but Thomas. I've got a bad feeling about him, Lucas. There's just something not quite right about him.
LUCAS: I know the feeling. Hopefully, we'll be able to figure out what it is before it's too late.
There was a knock at the door.
SAMI: I'll get it.
Sami went to open the door. Susan walked.
SAMI: Susan, hi.
SUSAN: Sami.
SAMI: What can I do for you?
SUSAN: You can tell me where my little Elvis is. My brother Thomas told me that he was back in Salem, but he couldn't tell me where. I figured if anybody would know, it's you. Please, Sami. I just need to know that he's isn't involved with his evil, evil, evil family anymore.

OUTSIDE SYDNEY AIRPORT – SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
The teens had finally made it to their last stop on the Australia trip. They exited the airport.
TRIX: Sydney! The capitol of New South Wales, and Australia's largest city! Oh, I've wanted to go here for so long, and here we are!
CLAIRE: How come you were never able to come before?
TRIX: My mum. Oh, we could go to London and all around Victoria, but we couldn't go to one of the coolest cities on Australia.
CIARA: Well, at least you're here now. So, what's first?
Mr. Canning, the Australian Studies teacher walked up.
CANNING: What's first is our hotel. Come on, mates. Gotta check in at the hotel, drop off our suitcases, and then we can go exploring for a while.
A bus pulled up and stopped in front of the group.
CANNING: Right, here's our bus. Everybody on, please.

Looking forward to what the kids get up to in Sydney.

If/when Jade learns the truth, I wonder how she will respond. Better than Tripp on the show, I hope.

I think Jan's hesitation isn't about Jade, it's about Jan not wanting to have to relive what happened out loud. In her head is bad enough.

Wonder how Sami will react to Susan's presence.

Chapter 264

SALEM PLACE
JADE: When will I be?
JAN: I don't know. I haven't decided yet.
JADE: Wow. Something really bad must have happened between you and my dad.

CAVE – PUERTO RICO – FLASHBACK
Paul had just gotten up from being on top of Jan. He zipped up his pants, sat down, and lit a cigarette. Jan was in the corner, crying.
PAUL: You want a ciggy, baby? I always like one after.
JAN (crying): You're disgusting!
Shawn-D walked up to the cave.
SHAWN-D: What the hell is going on here?
JAN (crying): What does it look like, Shawn? He raped me!
Jan took a deep breath, only now fully realizing what had just happened.
JAN: Oh god. He raped me!

SALEM PLACE
JAN: You could say that, yeah.
JADE: What was it?
JAN: It doesn't matter. All that matters is that he won't have the opportunity to do it again.
JADE: What exactly does that mean? Did you...oh my god, did you kill my dad?

TITAN
Philip sat at his desk, going through e-mails. He came upon one that T.K. had sent him several months ago, around the time that they had first gotten to know each other. He looked at the e-mail, thinking about it, and everything that had happened since then.

THE PENINSULA HOTEL – CHICAGO – FLASHBACK
Philip and T.K. had been staying in an upscale hotel in Chicago while Philip was doing business at the Titan office in Chicago. He had just finished work for the day, and was on his way to pick up T.K. so they could go to dinner. He walked up to the door and put his key in. When he walked into the room, he saw that one of his suitcases was laying on the bed, open, and that T.K. was rummaging through it. Philip cleared his throat. T.K. quickly looked up.
PHILIP: What are you doing?

TITAN
Philip was snapped out of his thoughts. He looked up and saw Deimos in the room.
PHILIP: What?
DEIMOS: I said, what are you doing?
PHILIP: In a word, working. Something you should try more of.
DEIMOS: Heh. Interesting thing happened today on my way back from lunch. You know that key card Uncle Vic gave me when he promoted me to co-CEO while you were gone? When I put it in the door this afternoon, it didn't work.
PHILIP: Cool story, tell it again.
DEIMOS: I had to wait for one of the secretaries to open the door for me. Now, why do you suppose that is?
PHILIP: Oh, I don't have to suppose. I already know. Now that I'm back, Victor's demoted you back to being my assistant.
DEIMOS: Victor can't do that. He doesn't own Titan anymore.
PHILIP: Correction, he doesn't run Titan anymore. If you're under the impression that just because you were co-CEO in my absense, that that gives you any amount of ownership in the company outside of having the right last name, you're sadly mistaken. This is my company. Mine and my father's. And I'm taking it back.

Did Deimos really thought he owned part of Titan after only being on the scene for a few months? That is pretty presumptuous of him.
