SAMI & LUCAS' APARTMENT
SYDNEY: What? How...how is this even possible?
SAMI: I don't know, honey. I really don't know. I have a thought on how it may have, but I don't know anything. But, don't worry. Both of your grandpa Roman, John and Uncle Steve are going to work on finding out. Your daddy isn't going to hurt us again.
SYDNEY: What about you and Lucas?
SAMI: Are you kidding? Do you think I'd let anything come between me and Lucas? Honey, every time something tries to come between us, we always find some way around it, even if it takes a long time. Lucas and I will be fine.
SYDNEY: Good. I still don't understand this, though. I mean, you saw him die. We all saw daddy's body.
SAMI: I know. I know it doesn't make much sense. It doesn't to me, either.
SYDNEY: But, you said you have some idea about how it happened.
Sami hesitated.
SAMI: Sydney, there are a lot of things you don't know about the DiMera side of your family. Now, I know you loved your Nonno, and in his own twisted way, I'm sure he loved you, too. But, your Nonno and your Uncle André have both done things...things that I'm not quite ready to talk about. And, I think, I don't know for sure yet, but I have a feeling that your Uncle André, and possibly your Nonno may have something to do with your daddy coming back to life.
SYDNEY: But, Nonno's dead. He's been dead for almost a year now.
SAMI: I know. But, André plans on continuing his legacy, whatever that means.
SYDNEY: Is that what's gonna happen to Johnny? He spends all his time with Uncle André. He tried to get me to, too, but I don't want to. Uncle André scares me.
SAMI: He has that effect on people. But no, Johnny won't turn out like André. Not if I have anything to say about it. Come here, baby.
Sami put her arms around Sydney.
SAMI: It's gonna be okay. Your uncle, your two grandpas, Lucas and I are gonna make sure it's okay.

SALEM INN
THOMAS: Moira, I don't have time for all of this foolishness.
MOIRA: It is not foolishness. It's the truth. The DiMera family are nothing but trouble. Even the good ones always end up in some kind of unsavory situation. Whatever brought Elvis back, it wasn't natural.
THOMAS: I have a guest coming tomorrow.
MOIRA: A guest? Who? Oh, Thomas, please tell me you did not bring Susan into this.
THOMAS: Susan is the reason why I'm here. She got me out, on the condition that I help her find Elvis. I have, and it is now time that mother and son are reunited. Besides, she's our sister. Why shouldn't I bring her into this?
Sister Mary Moira shook her head.
MOIRA: Oh, you're looking for trouble again, just like you always do. And I'm afraid this time, you'll find it.
She looked at her watch.
MOIRA: I must go. But, don't mistake me, we are not done here. I'll speak with you later.
Sister Mary Moira left the room.
THOMAS: Do come again.
Outside, Sister Mary Moira made her way back to St. Luke's.
MOIRA: I've got to stop you, Thomas. Whatever it takes.

Ooh I wonder what Sister Mary Moira is going to do.

I like Sami's confidence but something tells me this isn't going to be as easy to overcome as she thinks.

Poor Sydney. I'm glad she talked to Sami and I'm glad that Sami was as honest as she could be with her. I don't blame her for not wanting to air everything that the Dimera's have done. Sydney would be an old lady by the time Sami got done. LOL

I wonder what Mary is going to do.

I think Sami's right about Stefano and Andre.

Chapter 255

DIMERA MANSION
In one of the many secret rooms of the Mansion, Tony had called a meeting to discuss the newest recruit to the team.
STEVE: I don't like it, dude. After all the info John was able to dig up on this guy, there's no way we can trust him.
TONY: Oh, I agree entirely. I don't trust Thomas Banks at all, and neither should any of you.
ANNA: So, why on earth would you insist on having him join us in finding E.J. and bringing down André?
ROMAN: I believe there's an old saying that goes “keep your friends close and your enemies closer”.
TONY: Exactly. Thomas and André have had dealings before, so there's no way that we can trust him. However, we must keep a watchful eye on him, just in case he does try to rat us out.
John walked in while Tony was saying this.
JOHN: And with this little baby, we will.
John pulled a very small tablet out of his pocket. Steve whistled.
STEVE: Is this what I think it is?
ROMAN: How the hell did you get clearance to use one of these?
JOHN: It helps to be good friends with the Director of the ISA. Shane was able to secure me one of these just a day or two ago.
CHAD: Does anyone want to explain what this thing is? I mean, to me, it just looks like a smartphone.
STEVE: Good, that's because it's meant to.
JOHN: It's a tracker. It connects to a device smaller than the average baby's fingernail which is implanted into the skin of whoever you need to track. With this thing, we'll be able to see every move Thomas makes.
ANNA: As long as you actually get close enough to implant it.
TONY: Oh, that's already done.
Down in Rolf's lab, André and E.J. were having a discussion.
E.J.: I don't see what the issue is. The commissioner of the Salem P.D., as well as two ISA agents know that I'm alive, as do Samantha and at least one of my children.
ANDRE: The issue, my dear brother, is that you going out on these little day trips of yours is not a part of our agreement. The only reason Samantha knows is because we wanted her to. The only reason Roman Brady, John Black and Steve Johnson know is because they got in the way. But Johnny knowing is risky. If too many people find out before we're completely ready, the plan won't work.
E.J.: Oh, come off it! Johnny's not likely to tell anyone.
ANDRE: It appears that Rolf forgot to return all of your brain when he brought you back. Of course Johnny will tell people. By now, Sydney and Allie know, as does Lucas.
E.J.: Lucas is an easy problem to solve.
ANDRE: Oh, is he? You're quite sure about that?
E.J.: I've done it before.
ANDRE: You've failed before. If you had truly succeeded in getting rid of the problem, Lucas would not still be in Sami's life.
E.J.: André, they are my children. They shall know when I decide they shall know. You do not control when I see my children, nor any other part of my life.
André frowned.
ANDRE: Careful, little brother. You seem to have forgotten whom it is you're talking to.

Ooh looks like Andre and EJ are going to end up at war with each other.

Meanwhile, I hope John's plan works.

EJ and Andre don't see eye to eye. Why am I not surprised?

Chapter 256

NOVOTEL CAIRNS – AUSTRALIA
After spending a few days exploring the desert that is the Outback, the teens went on to Cairns. They spent their first day there exploring the small city. That night, Claire was putting a few of her souvenirs, including a miniature didgeridoo, into her suitcase. There was a knock on the door to the room that adjoined hers. She opened it, Ciara walked in, wearing a towel over her hair.
CIARA: Hey. How was your day?
CLAIRE: Mine was pretty good. I mostly spent it with Chase looking around town. I have decided that I love Queensland almost as much as I loved Melbourne! How was your day?
CIARA: It was...interesting.
CLAIRE: Well, that doesn't sound good.
CIARA: Nothing happened.
CLAIRE: Okay, now I know something's wrong. Ciara, what's going on?
CIARA: It's really nothing, okay? It's not a big deal.
CLAIRE: Okay, then what happened? And what's up with the towel? You just finished washing your hair, or something?
CIARA: Sorta.
CLAIRE: Come on, Ci. It's me. We tell each other everything. Please, tell me what's going on.
CIARA: Okay. Promise not to say anything until I've explained. And please, don't freak out.
CLAIRE: Okay...
CIARA: All right. Here it goes.
Ciara took a deep breath, then slowly took the towel off of her head. Claire gasped.
CLAIRE: What the...?
CIARA: Surprise.
Ciara's hair, which had once been dark brown, was now light blue.

DIMERA MANSION
CHAD: What do you mean it's already done?
TONY: Oh, it was quite simple, really.

DIMERA MANSION – FLASHBACK
THOMAS: Count me in, Count.
Thomas held out his hand. Tony shook it.

DIMERA MANSION
TONY: The device of which John is referring is so small that you wouldn't even be able to see it unless you were actively looking for it. When I first made this deal with Thomas Banks, I shook hands with him, making sure that his gloves were off, so the device could stick onto his hand.
ANNA: But wouldn't he notice something on his hand? Even if it is as small as you say it is, surely he would have felt it.
John shook his head.
JOHN: The device is invisible to the untrained eye. It's also lighter than a feather. If Thomas felt anything when it went it, he more than likely assumed that it was from the handshake.
TONY: I do have a very firm grip, as you know.
CHAD: Well, that all sounds great, but what's our next move?
STEVE: Our next move is introducing our new recruit to the rest of you. So far, John and Antony here are the only ones who've met him. So, let's meet this dude.
Tony nodded and walked out. A moment later, he came back in with Thomas.
TONY: Gentlemen, and Anna, meet Thomas Banks.
THOMAS: Thanks for letting me join the party, everyone.
E.J.: Oh, I know exactly who I'm talking to. And I must say, André, you haven't changed a bit.
ANDRE: And what exactly does that mean?
E.J.: You're still pretending that you're better than father. Still pretending that you're the one in charge. We all know that father, Kristen and I made this back up plan ages ago. So, really, I'm the one in charge here.
André inched towards E.J. until the younger of them was backed up against a wall. André put one hand on E.J.'s shoulder. With the other, he reached into the pocket of his jacket and pulled out a knife. He put the blade of the knife up against E.J.'s neck.
ANDRE: Do you feel in charge?

Crossing Andre is never a good idea. More people should know this. Interested to see the outcome of this skirmish.

So Kpatch was right about when and how the chip was implanted on Thomas!

Nice use of Vivian Jovanni dying her hair blue in real life. I wonder why Ciara decided on this though. Was it to discourage Trix?
