Chapter 227
RENDEZVOUS HOTEL MELBOURNE – AUSTRALIA
The teens were eating breakfast (because of the time change in Australia, which is 15 hours ahead of America).
CIARA: I'm sorry your mom never showed yesterday.
TRIX: It's whatever. I don't really care. I'm kinda used to her not being there.
CLAIRE: That's sad.
Trix shrugged. Joey, carrying a tray of food, sat down.
JOEY: So, you guys excited to start seeing the sights?
TRIX: I know I am. Especially when we go to the Royal Botanic Gardens this arvo (afternoon).
CLAIRE: I'm excited for St. Patrick's cathedral.
TRIX: Now, that is beautiful! It really is gorgeous!
CIARA: I'm kind of excited for tomorrow when we go to that war memorial our Australian Studies teacher, Mr. Canning, told us about.
TRIX: The Shrine of Remembrance. My mum took my little sister and I there once.
CIARA: You have a sister?
TRIX: Yeah. I say little, but she's only, like, a year younger than me.
CIARA: That's so cool!
HOPE & AIDEN'S HOUSE
Hope and Chelsea came out from the bedroom.
HOPE: Congratulations again, honey. You know, if you need anything, I'm always here.
CHELSEA: Thanks. And I'll let you know. After all, you're one of little Isaac's grandmas.
Hope and Chelsea hugged, then went downstairs.
AIDEN: Hey, you two.
HOPE: Hello, there.
Max and Chelsea hugged.
MAX (whispering): How'd it go?
CHELSEA (whispering): Great!
Max and Chelsea kissed.
AIDEN: Well, I hear congratulations are in order.
CHELSEA: Thanks, Aiden.
Chelsea and Aiden hugged. Then, she looked at Max.
CHELSEA: And, I already told Hope this news, but Max and I thought we should share it with you, too.
AIDEN: All right, let's hear it.
CHELSEA: We decided on a name for our baby.
MAX: Isaac Beauregard Brady.
AIDEN: Ah, so you are having a boy, then. I was hoping you were.
CHELSEA: Yep. So were we. And in less than three months, we'll all be able to meet him.
AIDEN: Very good.
SAMI & LUCAS' APARTMENT
There was a knock at the door. Lucas opened it. On the other side was Thomas.
LUCAS: Can I help you?
THOMAS: Is this where Sami Brady lives?
LUCAS: It might be. Who's asking.
THOMAS: Let's just say I'm a concerned friend.
LUCAS: Huh.
Lucas looked Thomas over.
LUCAS: Don't go anywhere.
Lucas shut the door. Thomas waited. A moment later, the door opened again. This time, Sami was on the other side.
SAMI: What the...?
Sami did a double-take.
THOMAS: Miss Brady, we need to talk.
SAMI: I'm sorry, but who are you?
THOMAS: My name is Thomas Banks. I believe you know my sister, Susan.
SAMI: Oh, okay. I was wondering about that. Sorry, it's just...you look so much like her.
THOMAS: Susan, my other sister Moira and I are identical.
SAMI: I see. Well, come in.
THOMAS: Thank you.
Sami opened the door further and let Thomas into the room. They sat down across from the other.
SAMI: Can I get you something?
THOMAS: No, I'm fine, thank you.
SAMI: So, what I can I for you?
THOMAS: I have some rather bizarre news for you. I'm sure you'll find it hard to believe, at first, but be assured, it is the truth.
SAMI: Okay. What's the news?
THOMAS: Your husband is still alive.
