KIRIAKIS MANSION
Victor had come home and showed the invitation to Maggie.
MAGGIE: Nicholas Alamain? Why, that's Melanie's older half-brother.
VICTOR: Yes, the spawn of Carly Manning and Lawrence Alamain.
MAGGIE: Well, we should at least meet him. It would be nice to know somebody from Melanie's other side of the family, besides Carly.
Victor grunted.
MAGGIE: Victor, what is it?
VICTOR: I have a bad feeling about this. I have known Nicholas when he was a young man. He, Philip and Shawn-Douglas went to grade school together, before I put Philip in boarding school. He was exactly like his father then, and I'm sure he hasn't changed since. Something about this doesn't sit right. I have a sinking feeling in my gut that we're going to see that dragonfly from hell at this gathering.
Maggie took Victor's hand.
MAGGIE: And if we do?
VICTOR: I will not allow her to hurt us again.
MAGGIE: And you think I will? Victor Kiriakis, you know that there is no way Vivian Alamain will be able to come between us again. We've grown so much together since she was last here. Even if she did try something, she'd be in for the fight of her life.
Victor patted Maggie's hand.
VICTOR: You are right, of course, my dear. If you wish to go to this gathering, then we shall.
MAGGIE: Thank you. We won't stay long. I just want to meet this Nicholas and see what he's like.
VICTOR: And, if Vivian is there, it'll be nice to see that smug look of hers fall when she sees us together after all this time.
Victor and Maggie kissed.

SALEM INN
Nicholas was on the phone. Vivian and Ivan were packing Nicholas' things.
NICHOLAS: Yes, I know. And I promise, it will be soon. Please, don't be like that. It's just...it's not the right time. I know, I know. But this time, I promise. Just let me get things settled here and then I'd love for you to come. Yes, and every time I've meant it. But, darling, as I told you, now is not the time...I understand that. All right. I'll talk to you later. Love you.
Nicholas hung up and sighed.
VIVIAN: I assume that that was my adorable niece?
NICHOLAS: You assume correctly, and she is none to pleased with me, at the moment.
VIVIAN: I can see that. Nicky, you know that I am not one to intrude on your personal life...
Nicholas rolled his eyes and stifled a laugh.
VIVIAN: But, I just don't understand why you won't let your beautiful daughter come to Salem yet.
NICHOLAS: As I've explained many times, to both you and her, now is not the right time. I promised her, as soon as things have settled down here and Alamain Industries is off the ground, I'll bring her here.
VIVIAN: I just feel you should bring her a bit earlier. It would be nice to finally meet her after all these years. Beatrix should be with her family.
NICHOLAS: She is.
VIVIAN: Darling, you told me yourself that you haven't heard from Carly in weeks.
NICHOLAS: We had a fight, okay? Nothing major, but enough to where we decided that we needed some space.
VIVIAN: Hm.
NICHOLAS: Aunt Viv, I have this under control. You will get to meet Trix, when the time is right. And the time is not yet right. Let's just finish packing, and we'll discuss this later.
VIVIAN: Whatever you say, Nicky.

LOL at that dragonfly from hell. Victor sure has a way with words. Maggie is too optimistic. I think Victor's instinct to stay away is right, though I guess it's better to know what the enemy is up to.

I am as impatient to meet Trix as Vivian is.

Hahaha! Victor sure doesn't mince words when it comes to Vivian. I'm sure Maggie has learned a thing or two from Victor after all this time and I have no doubt that she will be ready for her. Will Brady be around and by Maggie's other side for all of this?

So, if Nicholas hasn't heard from Carly, yet Trix is staying with family, who is she really with?

DIMERA MANSION
CHAD: So, I assume we're going.
TONY: Of course. We must keep up apperances.
CHAD: Even though it is a party being thrown by our second biggest competiton.
TONY: Alamain Industries is barely surviving. Nicholas Alamain is throwing his fortune into a dead company. On the off chance that it does survive, it'll have to be completely rebuilt from the ground up. However, I'm not so naïve as to believe he can't do it. And now that his aunt is back in town...
CHAD: Wait, did I just hear you say Vivian Alamain is back?
TONY: You did, yes.
CHAD: How do you get all of this information.
TONY: I've told you, Chad, I have a number of very reliable resources out scouring the world for the very latest news. They were on father's payroll for years. Just because he and I never agreed on anything when he was alive doesn't mean I can't use his people.
Anna entered the room.
ANNA: And I'm sure they'd much rather be working for you than for Stefano. You, my dear, are much nicer.
TONY: Well, they give me good information, and in return, I treat them well.
Anna and Tony kissed.
CHAD: So, go on.
TONY: As I was saying, now that Vivian is back in town, I'm sure she'll be more than willing to help Nicholas in anything he desires. So, this party will be an excellent opportunity to meet the both of them and see exactly what we're up against.
Chad nodded. Unknown to either, André was watching them from Rolf's lab. He chuckled as he watched Tony, Anna and Chad. Bart walked in.
BART: Mr. D, you called for me?
ANDRE: Yes, Bart. I trust that my suit is pressed and clean?
BART: Yes siree bob. I gotta tell ya, it looks so beautiful!
ANDRE: Yes, well, you can admire it later. I'm going to need it tomorrow night.
BART: Why? What's tomorrow night? Boss, are you finally gonna put part of the plan in motion?
ANDRE: Oh, Bart, the plans been in motion since my return. But, tomorrow, I'll need that suit. I have a formal dinner party to attend, and I do so love making a grand entrance.

KIRIAKIS MANSION
Philip and Victor were sitting in the main room.
PHILIP: You're actually going with this?
VICTOR: After some convincing from Maggie, yes. Besides, she has a point. It's a good networking opportunity. If we can get some dirt on Nicholas before he has a chance to bring Alamain Industries back to power, we can beat him to the punch.
PHILIP: This wouldn't have anything to do with getting a little revenge on Vivian, as well, would it?
VICTOR: Well, that will just be an added bonus.
PHILIP: Good. Because that, I am all for.
There was a knock at the door.
PHILIP: It's all right, Henderson. I've got it.
Philip walked over to the door and opened it. On the other side was Deimos.
PHILIP: What the...
DEIMOS: Hello, cousin.

Oooh Andre vs. Vivian! This should be a LOT of fun!

Chad, everyone wants to know that but Tony won't reveal his sources anymore than Stefano ever did.

Philip vs Deimos should also be great drama!

I can't wait for this party. It's going to be so exciting!

Chad and Tony really should have their guard up since they haven't heard from Andre in some time. Maybe Tony's informers can tip him off to Andre....

LOL at Chad wanting to know how Tony knows everything. And Tony casually saying he has people scouring the world for news. Is he CNN?

Also got a kick out of Andre telling Bart he can admire the suit another time. The dialogue is so witty and true to characters.

KIRIAKIS MANSION
PHILIP: Cousin?
Deimos nodded.
DEIMOS: That's right. We're cousins. My father is your father's younger brother.
PHILIP: Who are you?
DEIMOS: I'm Δείμος Κυριακής. And you, I assume, are Philip.
PHILIP: That's correct.
Victor walked into the room.
VICTOR: Ah, Δείμος. I see Nico got you here right on time.
DEIMOS: He did. Gotta say, I'm rather surprised. I thought you said I wasn't gonna be able to get out of prison until early July. Not that I mind being free, of course.
VICTOR: I...assisted the length of your sentence.
DEIMOS: Well, it is much appreciated.
VICTOR: Good. You can show your appreciation by following the rules. Henderson.
Henderson walked into the room.
HENDERSON: Sir?
VICTOR: This is my nephew, Δείμος Κυριακής. He'll be staying with us for some time. Please show him to his room.
HENDERSON: Right away, sir. This way.
Henderson led Deimos up the stairs. Philip and Victor walked back into the main room.
PHILIP: Father, far be it from me to question your motives, but, I need to ask you, have you gone completely insane?
VICTOR: I don't much care for that tone, Philip.
PHILIP: Oh, well, you'll have to excuse me. It's not every day that I find out that, on the day my father announces his retirement from the family business, a relative I've never heard of, who happens to be a convicted criminal, shows up at my door, and my father not only welcomes him with open arms, but has shortened his sentence.
VICTOR: You know that I would do anything for family.
PHILIP: Yes, I know.
VICTOR: Αλέξανδρος is family.
PHILIP: Alexandros? I thought he said his name was Deimos.
VICTOR: He did. He goes by his middle name. Αλέξανδρος Δείμος Κυριακής (Alexandros Deimos Kiriakis) is, thankfully, the only son of my idiot younger brother, Τίτος (Titus).
PHILIP: Uncle Titus? I thought you said we hadn't heard from him in years.
VICTOR: There are certain things you don't need to know, Philip. Certain things you only need know when the time is right. Δείμος was one of them.
PHILIP: What is he doing here, anyway?
VICTOR: The job I hired you to do.
PHILIP: What? Father, come on! I understand my tardiness is unacceptable, but just like that, you're gonna toss me out of Titan and give my position to a convict?
VICTOR: Would you stop prattling and let me finish? As I was saying, Δείμος is doing what I hired you to do, when you first joined the company.
PHILIP: So, basically, another lackey of yours.
VICTOR: Another lackey of yours. Remember, I'm retiring at the end of June. For the next month and a half, Δείμος will learn from me. After that, he's yours. And, believe me, he won't have an easy time of this.
PHILIP: What do you mean?
VICTOR: As I was saying, my younger brother is an idiot. It's not his fault. My mother was always far too soft on him. As a result, he's far too soft on his own son. Δείμος is going to learn what it means to be a proper Κυριακής. And if he fails, there will be consequences. In the meantime, I suggest you get to know your cousin. He'll be staying with us for quite a while.

I wonder what Victor's plan for Deimos is. I think Philip better keep his guard up around him tho. Something just isn't sitting quite right...
