Chapter 145
TEEN CENTER
Claire, Chase and Noelle had met at the teen center next to the Slicer to run lines for the upcoming performance of The Crucible. They were coming to the end of a scene.
CLAIRE: It is her dearest hope, I know it. There be a thousand names; why does she call mine? There be a certain danger in calling such a name. I am no Goody Good that sleeps in ditches, nor Osburn, drunk and half-witted. She’d dare not call out such a farmer’s wife but there be monstrous profit in it. She thinks to take my place, John.
Noelle clapped.
NOELLE: Very nice. Now, it's my turn.
CLAIRE: I'll be back in a minute.
Claire and Chase kissed, then Claire walked into the back room.
CHASE: So, what scene did you want to do?
NOELLE: How about our first scene together?
CHASE: Okay.
TITAN
Philip pressed a button on his desk.
PHILIP: Marie, cancel all of my appointments for this afternoon.
MARIE (over coms): Yes, sir.
Philip took a deep breath.
T.K.: I can imagine it's difficult to take in.
PHILIP: Yeah, that's one way of putting it. So...you're my son, then.
T.K.: Yep. That's what my mother tells me.
PHILIP: Your mother, of course. How is Mimi?
T.K.: Mimi?
PHILIP: Yeah. Your mom, Mimi Lockhart. I mean, I guess I'll see her in a few weeks, what with the reunion coming up and all, but still.
T.K.: Mimi isn't my mother.
PHILIP: Well, Ty, whether you know it or not, she's your biological mother.
T.K.: Oh, I see. My mother never told me that.
PHILIP: So, if Mimi isn't taking care of you, who's your step-mother?
T.K.: Her name is Lauren.
PHILIP: Lauren?! Man, I haven't heard that name in years. How did you find out?
T.K.: My mom told me around Thanksgiving last year. And, I wanted to come to Salem and meet you, and she sent me out here. She never told me that she wasn't actually my mother, though.
PHILIP: We have a lot to talk about. And my office isn't exactly the place for it. Come on, let's go for a walk. I have a feeling that we're both going to be learning a lot over the coming weeks.
T.K.: Okay. I'm looking forward to it.
Philip and T.K. got their coats, and then walked out of the office.
KORYDALLOS PRISON – PIRAEUS, GREECE
DEIMOS: You can't do this to me. This is against the rules.
ANDRE: You're in prison, fool. There are no rules. Besides, don't you realize, I'm not actually a guard?
André chuckled.
ANDRE: Oh, look at the poor man. You've run out of options, Deimos. Now, if you have any hope of seeing the outside of this cell again, you'll do as I say. Stop harrassing me before I have to do something unpleasent.
DEIMOS: All right. All right. Whatever you say, man.
André backed off of him, tucked the knife into his belt, and put his hat and sunglasses back on.
ANDRE: Lovely to meet you, Deimos Kiriakis.
André took the lid off of the tray he had carried in. A cloud of spray covered Deimos, who was soon unconscious. André covered the tray, then walked out. He pressed a button on his vest twice. As he left, all of the security cameras came back on.
