Monday - 4/4

ST. LUKE’S - FLASHBACK
Several years ago, a group of people stood in the cemetery in froNt of a grave. Nearest to it were Bo and Hope, Shawn-D and Belle, and Chelsea and Max, all of whom had their arms around each other. Most of the rest of Salem stood behind them. Father Matt was reading from the Bible. When he finished, nObody said anything, they were overcome. Each placed a rose on the coffin in front of the grave.

SALEM UNIVERSITY
Joey walked down the hall, he was talking on the phone.
JOEY: Yes, I Took the chicken out for tonight, thanks for checking. I know. No, of course I’m more than happy to cook for you. Yeah, I’m looking forward to spring break, too. It should be a fun time. What’d you have in mind? Sure, that sounds great. It’s a date. All rigHt, I’ll see you in a little bit. I love you, too. Bye.

Allie stood in front of the boy’s dormitory, waiting. After a few minutes, Johnny walked out.
ALLIE: Ready to go?
JOHNNY: Yep.
They walked to AllIe’s car.
JOHNNY: Much as I appreciate you giving me a ride, this doesn’t mean anything.
ALLIE: Come again?
JOHNNY: Look, I can accept that we’re family aNd stuff, but I meant what I said before, we’re not gonna hang out together. I have plans for this whole week, and those plans don’t involve you.
Allie snorted.
ALLIE: Who says I even wanted to hang out with you? For your information, I have plans, too, and they don’t involve you, either. The world doesn’t revolve around you, Johnny, no matter what you think.
JOHNNY: Look, I’m just tryinG to set the record straight here.
ALLIE: Well consider it straightened. Now, are you gonna put your seatbelt on? ‘Cause we’re not leaving until you do.
Johnny rolled hIs eyes and put his seatbelt on. Allie’s phone went off. She looked at it and smiled.
JOHNNY: Something exciting over there?
ALLIE: Nothing that concerns you. Just a meSsage from a friend.
JOHNNY (under his breath): Ask a silly question.
Allie chose to ignore that comment. She put her phone back in her pocket and started the car.

BRADY PUB
Chelsea handed a couple their change.
CHELSEA: Thanks for coming in. Have a great rest of your day.
The couple walked out. Chelsea picked up a towel and wiped down part of the bar. The lunchtime rush was coming to an end. The bell rang signaling that the door opened.
CHELSEA: Welcome in! Please take a seat anywhere.
MAN: Anywhere, huh?
Chelsea looked up. At first she was shocked, then she smiled.
CHELSEA: Oh my gosh! What are you doing here?
Standing in the doorway was a man in his mid twenties with dark hair. He wore a leather jacket.
MAN: I’ve come home for spring break. Good to see you, Chels.
Chelsea practically ran out from behind the bar and hugged him.
CHELSEA: It is so good to see you, Zack!

Wait, what? Zack is alive? Or is Chelsea deluded, or dreaming?

What's with Johnny's attitude? I almost forgot he isn't possessed by the Devil in this story LOL. I'm guessing he has EJ drama to deal with that's making him act weird.

I'm looking forward to Joey and Alanis' date.

Whose funeral is that? I thought it was Bo's but he was there. Shawn Sr's maybe?

In many Ways, Zack looked like Bo, but he had Hope’s eyes.
ZACK: It’s good to see you, too, sis.
CHELSEA: What brings you back to Salem?
ZACK: I told you, spring break. I’m just here for the week, but it’s gonna be a good one, I can tell.
CHELSEA: Well, come in! Take a seat!
Zack sat down at the bar and CHelsea went behind it.
ZACK: Can I get my usual?
CHELSEA: Coming right up.
Chelsea poured a glass of beer and set it down in front of Zack.
ZACK: Thanks.
CHELSEA: So, tell me everything! How’s grAd school?
ZACK: Grad school is good. I’m doing great in my classes, and if things go well, I’m gonna be graduating at the end of next semester.
CHELSEA: That’s terrific, little bro! I’m proud of you!
ZACK: Thanks.
CHELSEA: Does Hope know you’re in Town?
ZACK: Not yet. I literally just drove in and thought, you know, what I really need to start my spring break off right is some crisp fries, a Brady Burger and a visit with my sister.
Max walked out from the kitchen carrying a plate.
MAX: Had an order for a Brady Burger wIth fries. Zack!
ZACK: Hey! Uncle Max!
MAX: I’m guessing this is your order. How’s goin’, man?
Max set the plate down in front of Zack.
ZACK: It’s great. I am thrilled to be home for spring break. This is gonna be an awesome week!
MAX: Well, I can Tell you who else’ll be thrilled: Hope.
ZACK: Yeah, after I finish lunch, I’m stopping by the station to surprise her.
MAX: Sounds good. Good to have you back, man.
ZACK: Good to be back.

SHAWN-D’S HOUSE
Shawn-D walked in.
SHAWN-D: Honey, I’m home.
Jan walked from out of the kitchen.
JAN: Hey, you’re early.
SHAWN-D: Yeah, Uncle Roman only gave me a half Shift today. Something about being overstaffed. Not complaining, it means I get to spend more time with my wife.
JAN: You won’t hear any complaints from me, either.
Shawn-D and Jan kissed.
SHAWN-D: I would havE been home earlier, but I took a quick trip to the cemetery today. It’s looking nice, they’re keeping it up well.
JAN: That’s good.
Jan took Shawn-D’s hand.
SHAWN-D: Anyway, how was your day?
JAN: It’s bEen good so far. Nothing too exciting, but that’s alright.
SHAWN-D: Good, I’m glad.
A young girl walked down the stairs and into the room. She resembled Jade, but was a few years younger.
GIRL: I thought I heard your voice.
SHAWN-D: Hey, kid.
Shawn-D and the girl hugged.
SHAWN-D: How was school?
GIRL: Good. Over, finally. I’M so glad I’ve got the next week off.
JAN: Well, having the next week off will give you plenty of time to do those chores you keep conveniently forgetting to do, won’t it, Shawna?
Shawna Brady rolled her eyeS.
SHAWNA: Mom, I’m eighteen. I’m in college now.
JAN: That doesn’t mean you can’t still do chores.
Shawna sighed dramatically.
SHAWNA: Yeah, I’ll get to them, I promise, over the week. Allie and I have plans to hang out tonight.
SHAWN-D: All right, just as long as you get those chores done.
SHAWNA: I will, I will.
JAN: Good. We love you, honey.
SHAWNA: I love you guys, too.

SALEM MOVIE THEATER
Alanis was working at the snack bar in the movie theater in Salem Place. She handed a customer their popcorn.
ALANIS: Here you are. Enjoy the show.
The next customer in line was Joey. Alanis’ eyes lit up when she saw him.
ALANIS: Joey!
JOEY: Hey. Can I get a large popcorn, a medium Coke and a medium OK Soda?
ALANIS: Sure thing.
Alanis started putting Joey’s order together.
ALANIS: It’s so good to see you! It feels like ages! I mean, I know we go to Salem U together and all, but ever since we stopped having that one class together, it’s like we never see each other.
JOEY: Yeah, I know what you mean. It’s been a while.
ALANIS: We should totally hang out sometime!
Joey hesitated.
JOEY: Yeah, maybe.
ALANIS: We totally should! We used to have so much fun hanging out together!
JOEY: Look, Al, it’s not that I don’t wanna hang out with you or anything, it’s just…I’m not sure how that would go with…you know.
Alanis’ face fell.
ALANIS: Right, yeah. I wasn’t even thinking about that. Sorry. Just an idea.
JOEY: It’s cool. It’s just, you know how she gets sometimes.
ALANIS: Yeah.
Jade walked over.
JADE: Hey.
JOEY: Hey, babe.
Joey and Jade kissed.

Am I just tripping out completely here or what's reality or what is just a dream? I mean nothing but dream sequences first Shawn and Jan, Chelsea, Joey and Jade what's next? Just when I think I've seen it all

I'm guessing this is an alternate reality where Zack didn't die. Shawn and Jan being together is not a good idea in any reality though LOL. I wonder what Joey is talking about. Is Jade back to being evil in this timeline?

Is Claire in an alternate world after being hit by that car? That's the only thing that makes all of this make sense to me at this point. Although, Jan and Shawn being together does sound like Jan's alternate universe. I have to wonder now if the grave was Belle's or Claire's.

SALEM MOVIE THEATER
JADE: Did you remember the cookie dough bites?
JOEY: Thank you for the reminder.
Joey turned to Alanis.
JOEY: Can We have some of those, too, please?
ALANIS: Sure.
JADE: Oh, Alyse, you’re still working here.
ALANIS: It’s Alanis, and yes.
JADE: Whatever. Did you know Joey and I are engaged now?
ALANIS: I’d hEard something about that, yeah.
JADE: It was so romantic the way he proposed to me.
JOEY: Anything for my girl.
Jade kissed Joey on the cheek. Joey pulled out his credit card as Alanis set down all of the food and drinks. After running the credit card, Alanis handed it and a receipt to Joey.
ALANIS: Here you go. Enjoy your movie.
JADE: Thanks, Arwen. We wiLl.
Joey and Jade picked up their food and drinks and went off to see their movie. Alanis watched them go, looking longingly after Joey.
ALANIS (quietly): It’s Alanis.

SALEM P.D.
Hope and ZaCk hugged.
HOPE: Sweetheart, it is so good to see you again! This is such a surprise!
ZACK: It’s good to see you, too, Mom.
HOPE: How long are you in town for?
ZACK: Just the week, sadly. I’ll have tO get back to grad school by the weekend.
HOPE: Well, at least you’re here, that’s the important part. I’m so glad of it, too. Sometime while you’re here, we should have Shawn and Jan and Max and Chelsea over for dinner.
ZACK: Oh, I’d love that!
HOPE: It’s so great to have both of my kids hoMe!
ZACK: It’s good to be home. So, how are things here?
HOPE: Oh, you know. Not much ever changes in Salem. The DiMeras are still causing as much trouble as ever. From what Shawn tells me, Shawna’s doing well in her first year of collEge.
ZACK: That’s good. The bit about Shawna, anyway. I still can’t believe she’s old enough to be in college. I sometimes still think of her as that little kid chasing Johnny around. Heck, I can still kinda remember when Shawn first got together with Jan.
HOPE: Yes, we all remember thaT. She’s grown up quite a bit.

SHAWN-D & JAN’S HOUSE
Shawna and Allie sat on Shawna’s bed. Both were giggling. There was a knock on the door and both quickly hid something under the pillows.
SHAWNA: COme in.
Shawn-D opened the door.
ALLIE: Hi, Shawn.
SHAWN-D: Hey, girls. Shawna, your mom and I are heading out for a little while.
SHAWNA: Okay. Is iT okay if Allie spends the night?
SHAWN-D: Sure, as long as Sami’s okay with it.
ALLIE: She is, I texted her just a little bit ago.
SHAWN-D: Great. You two have a good night. Don’t stay up too late.
SHAWNA: We won’t.
THe girls smiled. Shawn-D smiled back and closed the door. They waited a minute and sighed with relief.
SHAWNA: Finally, we have the house to ourselves!
Shawna pulled away the pillows and handed Allie a bottle of wine, taking one for herself, as well. Both took a swig from thEir bottles.
SHAWNA: Okay, truth or dare time!
