Katalin and Claire hugged.
KATALIN: I know I told you this yesterday when you arrived, but I am so glad you came!
CLAIRE: I was happy to. This is all so beautiful!
KATALIN: It is! Nana and Auntie Greta did such a wonderful job with everything.
CLAIRE: They sure did. Plus, you and your sister both look great. I love the tiaras, Your Majesty.
KATALIN: Highness, but to you, it’s just Katalin.
CLAIRE: I’m honored.
The girls laughed.
KATALIN: How are you and Chase? I was so happy to see you last year when you were on your honeymoon!
CLAIRE: We were happy to see you, too! And, we’re good. Really good. Chase is working on his law degree, and I’m still doing music.
KATALIN: That’s wonderful! I’m so glad to hear it!
CLAIRE: What about you? I know you told me you and Medbh got engaged, how’s that going?
KATALIN: Simply fantastic! I’ll not deny it took a bit of an adjustment on both our parts, but Medbh’s been really good about the whole thing.
CLAIRE: That’s so great!
Jennifer took her hand back.
JENNIFER: It’s nice to meet you, as well. So, you’re Frankie and Carly’s cousin, then?
DIMITRI: That is correct. My father was brothers with François and Katerina’s father.
CARLY: Not to be rude, but as my brother already said, it’s Frankie and Carly now.
DIMITRI: Which I still do not understand. Von Leuschner is a proud family name! Why are you so afraid to use it?
FRANKIE: We’re not afraid to, man, it just doesn’t have the same great association with it that you clearly do. Carly and I have never denied that we’re Von Leuschners, but we also don’t feel like making our birth names our entire personality.
Dimitri glared.
DIMITRI: There is nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage, not that you two would know anything about that.
DAVID: Hey, I think we should all just cool it for a minute. This is supposed to be a party, after all.
DIMITRI: I’m sorry, who are you?
DAVID: I’m Carly’s husband, David Banning.
JENNIFER: And David’s right. We should be enjoying ourselves.
FRANKIE: Yeah. Come on, let’s dance.
Frankie and Jennifer walked away, as did Carly and David. Dimitri watched them as they left.
Tony and Victor shook hands.
TONY: Lovely to see you both.
VICTOR: Yes, I must admit, of the DiMeras, you’re the one I’d rather see.
TONY: I’ll choose to take that as a compliment.
VICTOR: Take it however you wish.
MAGGIE: Oh, Victor.
Maggie patted Victor on the shoulder.
MAGGIE: It is nice to see you, Tony.
TONY: You, as well, Maggie.
VICTOR: So, how are things at DiMera going?
TONY: Good, very good. Chad and I are pleased with the way things are going. I see Philip is doing a good job with Titan.
Victor nodded.
VICTOR: Yes, he’s doing quite well.
MAGGIE: He and Melanie would have been here, but they didn’t want to travel across the world, even though Dani is already nearly six months old.
TONY: No, that’s understandable. It’s good to hear things are going well for them.
AUSTIN: Gotta say, you’ve outdone yourself, m’lady.
GRETA: Thank you very much. I’m glad to see the two of you.
CARRIE:We’re glad to be here. Everything’s so beautiful.
AUSTIN: It’s crazy how the girls look so much like Claire and Ciara. Have you met them yet?
GRETA: I believe I met Claire briefly once, but that was a few years ago. I haven’t had the chance to meet Ciara yet.
CARRIE: Well, you’ll have to meet them sometime this weekend.
GRETA: Yes, that would be lovely.
TRIX; Having a good time?
CIARA: I am. If nothing else, at least I get to dance with my girlfriend, which is always nice.
Trix and Ciara kissed.
CIARA: The ceremony was nice, though. And I love the look of this building! The architecture is gorgeous!
TRIX: Yeah, it’s nice.
CIARA: If I weren’t already committed to becoming an ISA agent once Uncle Shane lets me, I’d want to design something like this. Not exactly like this, of course, I’d put my own spin on it.
TRIX: You still could, you know. While you’re waiting for the all clear from Shane, I mean.
Ciara shrugged.
CIARA: Maybe.
Nicholas and Sebastian walked over.
NICHOLAS: Hi, girls. I don’t wish to interrupt, but there’s someone I’d like you to meet. Beatrix, this is your cousin, Sebastian. Bash, this is my daughter, Trix and her girlfriend, Ciara.
SEBASTIAN: Lovely to meet you both.
TRIX: You too.
SEBASTIAN: Your father and I go way back. Aside from being cousins, we went to boarding school together. Oh, the stories I could tell…
NICHOLAS: Maybe another time, Bash.
SEBASTIAN: Oh, of course.
TRIX: That sounds nice. Good to meet you.
As Trix, Nicholas and Sebastian were talking, Ciara felt a tap on the shoulder. She turned around and folded her arms, seeing that it was Katalin.
KATALIN: Ciara.
CIARA: Hi. What’s up?
KATALIN: I wanted to talk, if that’s alright.
Sophie was getting a drink from the bar. As she sipped it, she scanned the room for either Katalin or Emmaline. She stopped when she spotted Claire and Emmaline talking together.
SOPHIE (thinking): What on earth?
She looked down at her drink and set it down on the bar. Miles walked over.
MILES: Well, I almost had her, but she and that man on her arm got away from me. Either Kurt Schwengel has had some serious work done, or Princess Gina’s gone and got herself a new manservant.
Sophie continued staring at the two girls.
MILES: What, you’ve got nothing to say about this at all?
SOPHIE: Would you shut up for one minute, Miles? Look over there.
Miles followed Sophie’s gaze.
SOPHIE: Do you see it?
MILES: Yes. There appears to be two of Emmaline. But how can that be?
SOPHIE: Curiouser and curiouser. Husband, we have to work out what’s going on here, and quickly.
