Monday - 10/25

SALEM UNIVERSITY
Meadow Cole had helped Meadow West with her Halloween costume. They were in Cole’s dorm room. She had just finished putting red makeup on Meadow.
COLE: There we go!
She held up a mirror. Meadow was wearing a pink dress, but it had red splotches all over it, her hair had red streaks, and much of her face was covered in red dye.
MEADOW: Wow! This is awesome! Thanks, Meadow!
COLE: You’re welcome, Meadow. Glad I could help.
MEADOW: You really have! Those stage makeup classes you’re taking are doing wonders.
Cole shrugged.
COLE: It’s good practice, and I’m happy to do it for my friends.
MEADOW: Well, it’s appreciated. Are you sure there’s nothing I can do to help you with your costume?
COLE: Nah, I’m good. My costume doesn’t really entail that much, anyway.
MEADOW: Okay, if you’re sure.
There was a knock on the door. Cole opened it to find Johnny, wearing a blonde frizzy wig and blue suit.
JOHNNY: Hey guys.
MEADOW: Hey. You look amazing!
JOHNNY: Thanks, so do you. I’d definitely take you to prom.
The two laughed.
COLE: You guys are adorable.
MEADOW: Thanks!
JOHNNY: So, Meadow, you comin’ with us?
COLE: Thanks, but I’ve gotta finish putting on my costume. I’ll catch up with you guys.
MEADOW: Okay. We’ll see you there.
Meadow and Johnny left, while Cole went into the bathroom to change into her costume.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Meanwhile, much of Salem had gathered in the cafeteria of the hospital. Everyone was in costume. As with previous years, the cafeteria had been set up for the party, with a stage off to one side. Kayla, wearing a witches hat walked up to the microphone.
KAYLA: Good evening, everybody! Welcome to the fourth annual University Hospital Halloween Party!
There was applause from the partygoers.
KAYLA: We’re gonna have a great time tonight! However, before the party can begin, we need to go over a few ground rules. As I’m sure that you are aware, this is still a hospital, and there are still patients recovering here. So, while we want this party to be fun, we also don’t want to disturb the patients. Therefore, the party will be contained to this floor. While the main party will be in here, there are some rooms blocked off so that people can relax and have a seat, if they wish to. Those rooms are clearly marked. If you come across a door that is closed and not marked as one of the designated rest areas, there is a good reason for that, and unless you are hospital staff, there’s no reason to go in them. There are a set of bathrooms just down the hall to your right. There is food and plenty of other refreshments which will be served buffet style at the back of this room. Of course, the most important rule is to have fun! Now, let the party begin!
The crowd erupted with applause as music began playing over the P.A. system. (CLICK HERE to listen to it.)

Tuesday - 10/26

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
CLICK HERE to listen to the music that’s playing. Along the way to the party, Johnny and Meadow ran into Peyton, who was dressed as Sarah Sanderson from Hocus Pocus. The three walked in together.
PEYTON: Whoa!
JOHNNY: I know. Cool, right?
PEYTON: Totally! I love Halloween, and this all looks so awesome!
MEADOW: I love it, too. Glad you decided to come.
PEYTON: Me too.
JOHNNY: You still cool to hang out after the party?
PEYTON: Sure, that’d be awesome!
SONIA: Nice to see you making friends, kid.
Peyton turned to see her mother standing behind her, dressed as a barmaid.
PEYTON: Mom. Hi. I didn’t expect to see you here. Happy Halloween.
SONIA: You too, sweetheart. Who are your friends?
PEYTON: Well, this is Meadow, she’s my roommate at college.
MEADOW: Nice to meet you, Mrs. Hawk.
SONIA: You too.
PEYTON: And this is my cousin, Johnny. He also happens to be Meadow’s boyfriend.
Johnny shook Sonia’s hand.
JOHNNY: Johnny DiMera. So, you’re my Aunt Sonia, huh?
SONIA: That would be correct, yes.
JOHNNY: Cool.
SONIA: So, it sounds like you three have plans after the party.
MEADOW: Yeah, we’re just gonna hang out. Maybe watch a scary movie. I like your costume, by the way.
SONIA: Thank you, I like yours, as well. Carrie. It’s a classic.
MEADOW: That it is.
SONIA: This hangout that you guys are having, it wouldn’t happen to be at the DiMera Mansion, would it?

Eric, who was dressed in Jedi robes, walked over to Brady, dressed as the Phantom, from Phantom of the Opera.
ERIC: I’m glad you decided to come.
BRADY: Well, it’ll help with my reacclimating into Salem, so I thought, why not.
ERIC: I like the Phantom costume.
BRADY: Thanks. I was kind of hoping Chloe would be here, but I’m guessing she’s probably busy. Phantom of the Opera was kind of our musical.
Eric nodded.
ERIC: How are things going on that front?
BRADY: Yet to be determined, at the moment. There’s a lot of conversations to be had, and right now we’re kind of working around her schedule.
ERIC: I understand. I’m praying for you, both of you, that everything works out the way it’s supposed to.
BRADY: I appreciate that, man. Thanks.

Sydney, who was dressed as Dolly Parton, stood by one of the tables. After a moment, Silver, dressed as Tonya Harding, walked over.
SILVER: Hi.
SYDNEY: Hey! You came!
They hugged.
SILVER: Of course I did. I loved the Halloween party so much last year, no way was I gonna miss it!
SYDNEY: I’m glad you’re here.
SILVER: Me too. It’s good to see you. I mean, I know we see each other everyday in school, but still...anyway, your costume looks nice.
SYDNEY: Thanks, I like yours, too.
SILVER: Thanks.
SYDNEY: So, can we, um...can we talk?
SILVER: Yeah, of course.
The girls took a seat.
SILVER: What did you want to talk about?

Joey and Alanis were invited onstage. They were dressed as the band Mazzy Star. Joey was wearing a blue button up shirt and tan pants, while Alanis was wearing black pants, boots and a black shirt, the arms of which could almost be seen through. Joey was carrying a tambourine, and Alanis had her guitar. After taking a moment to set up, the lights dimmed, and they both started playing. Alanis began singing. CLICK HERE to listen to the song they performed. After they finished, the audience clapped.
ALANIS: Thank you.
JOEY: Happy Halloween, everyone.
The lights went up as the two got offstage. They kissed, and were soon met by Claire and Chase, who were dressed as Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.
CHASE: That was awesome, guys!
JOEY: Thanks, man.
CLAIRE: When I first saw the costumes, I had wondered if you were gonna perform a song from Mazzy Star.
ALANIS: I figured that the song worked for Halloween, and as you know, Hope Sandoval is one of my two loves.
JOEY: And the costume for her late bandmate David Roback wasn’t too hard to put together.
She kissed Joey on the cheek.
CLAIRE: Well, it definitely worked! You guys were great!
ALANIS: Thanks!
JOEY: Are you guys gonna do a performance later?
CHASE: We are, not in character as Britney and Justin, though.
CLAIRE: Yeah, we had something else in mind. Actually, we’re kind of taking a page from what you guys did last Halloween.
ALANIS: Ooh. I’m intrigued.
CHASE: It’s gonna be fun.
JOEY: Can’t wait to see it, dude.

I'm glad there's no major drama at the party so far.

I'm curious as to what Sydney wants to say to Silver. Tonya Harding is an interesting choice for a costume.

Wonder how Sonia will react to Peyton and Johnny's plans once they confirm they're going to the Dimera mansion.

Sonia I can't see her being happy with Peyton going to the DiMera Mansion to hang out with her cousin Johnny. Sonia I'm sure she will probably suggest that Peyton, Meadow and Johnny hang out at her townhouse as an alternative instead.

Johnny meets his Aunt Sonia well his Uncle Benjy's wife and he managed to get along with her

Loved Eric and Kyle Lowder's Brady interacting as step brothers but this is Brady's first Salem event in over 13 years after being held captive and an imposter Carter Bates Eric Martsolf's Brady was in his place all those years

Loved Eric's costume as a Jedi knight from Star Wars...which Jedi did he dress up as? The real Brady's Halloween costume was kind of ironic...The Phantom of the Opera

I wonder if Chloe will show up to this?

Sounds like Sonia may be onto the kids plans.

Brady II sounds like he's being a little pushy on getting things moving with Chloe.

I wonder what Sydney wants to talk about.

I can't wait to see what Chase and Claire do. Too funny that they showed up as Brittany and Justin.

Wednesday - 10/27

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

PEYTON: Mom, this really isn’t a big deal.
JOHNNY: Something wrong with the DiMera Mansion, Aunt Sonia?
Sonia considered Johnny for a moment.
SONIA: I don’t mean to be rude, I just don’t have very good memories associated with that place. I understand that it’s your home, at least half of the time, but-
MEADOW: We’re not going to the DiMera Mansion, Mrs. Hawk. Since Peyton and I are roommates, and Johnny and I are dating, we’re gonna go back to the dorms.
SONIA: Ah, gotcha. Perhaps I was a little bit hasty. Well, have fun, you three.
PEYTON: Thanks, Mom.
Sonia walked away. Peyton waited until she was out of earshot.
PEYTON: Sorry about that, guys. Thanks for covering for us, Meadow.
MEADOW: No worries.
JOHNNY: What’s Aunt Sonia’s problem with the Mansion?
PEYTON: I don’t know. All I know is that when we moved here, she tried to tell me I shouldn’t go over there. But, I’m an adult, and I want to know more about my Dad’s side of the family.
JOHNNY: No one ever really talks about Uncle Benjy.
PEYTON: He died while my Mom was pregnant with me.
JOHNNY: Sorry to hear that. Maybe Uncle André can tell us about him, I think he was around when Uncle Benjy was.
PEYTON: Maybe.

SYDNEY: I’m sorry for being kinda distant the last week or so. I guess I got kind of freaked out over what happened, or more accurately what didn’t happen.
SILVER: You’re good, I was kinda freaked out, too. I was worried that I had accidentally messed things up.
SYDNEY: So was I. But, we didn’t, and that’s the important part.
Silver nodded.
SYDNEY: So...still friends?
SILVER: Always.
SYDNEY: Good.
Silver and Sydney hugged.

Meanwhile, Joey and Alanis were getting some punch. At the same time, Jade, who was wearing a pair of butterfly wings, picked up a water bottle.
ALANIS: Hey Jade.
JADE: Hi, guys. Happy Halloween.
JOEY: You too. Want some punch?
JADE: I’m good. I think I’m just gonna stick with water. I know it’s just fruit punch, but…
Joey nodded.
JOEY: I gotcha.
JADE: I really liked your performance!
ALANIS: Thanks! How are you? And how’s Emmy?
JADE: I’m good. And Emmy is wonderful, as always. I took her trick-or-treating for the first time ever, and now she’s at the Horton Center for the kids Halloween party.
JOEY: That’s cool. Nice costume. What’s Emmy’s?
JADE: We’re kind of a pair. She’s obsessed with that Hungry Caterpillar book right now, and wanted to go as that for Halloween. So she’s the Very Hungry Caterpillar, and I’m the butterfly.
ALANIS: Aw! That’s so cute!
JOEY: You’ll have to tell her Happy Halloween from us.
JADE: I will, thanks.

Melanie and Philip, who were dressed as Gomez and Morticia Addams, met up with Carly and David, who were dressed as Danny and Sandy from Grease.
CARLY: Happy Halloween, you two!
MELANIE: Happy Halloween, Mom, David.
PHILIP: Good to see you guys.
DAVID: You too, dude.
CARLY: How’s my grandbaby?
MELANIE: She is great. I’m so glad Maggie volunteered to watch her tonight.
PHILIP: We both are.
DAVID: That’s nice of her.
Melanie looked at Philip.
MELANIE: Should we tell them?
PHILIP: Sure, why not?
DAVID: Tell us what?
MELANIE: After some discussion, we’ve come to a decision...
PHILIP: We’re getting married!
