SONIA’S TOWNHOUSE
Sonia, Steve and Kayla were all sitting down in the living room.
STEVE: You did a good job of keepin’ DiMera talkin’. He was here just long enough for me to send word to our friends at the ISA.
SONIA: Well, I’m glad you guys were here. If that maniac had come when it was just me, or worse if Peyton was still here...I don’t know what I would have done.
KAYLA: Thankfully, you won’t have to find out.
SONIA: Do you really think the charges will stick?
STEVE: I’m not gonna beat around the bush, it’s not gonna be easy. DiMera has a habit of weaseling his way out of trouble. But, the amount of stuff we’ve got on him, plus all that time Steven’s been spending gathering intel, let’s just say I’m cautiously optimistic. The fact we got him and saw through his charade is a win. We’ll have to see how things go from here. But, for the moment at least, he’s outta your hair.
Sonia sighed with relief.
SONIA: That’s something, at least. Thank you, both of you.
KAYLA: Of course.
Sonia hugged Steve and Kayla.
SALEM UNIVERSITY
Joey walked down the hallway where all of the music rooms were. He heard piano music coming from one of the rooms. (
CLICK HERE to listen to what’s playing). He approached the room and looked in to see Alanis playing. He quietly walked in.
ALANIS: Hey.
JOEY: Hey. Please, keep going, I didn’t mean to interrupt.
ALANIS: You didn’t.
Alanis continued where she had left off.
JOEY: Feeling dark today, are we?
ALANIS: Nope. Actually, I’m feeling really good. But, with Halloween coming in a few days, I figured I’d try this piece.
JOEY: It’s cool. I’m glad to see you playing again.
ALANIS: I’m glad to be back at it. I took a bit of a break from it after everything earlier this year, but I’ve missed it a lot.
JOEY: I’ve missed hearing it.
Alanis stopped playing for a second, scooted over and patted the space on the bench next to her. Joey sat down and she kissed him on the cheek. Then, Alanis went back to playing.
ALANIS: Speaking of Halloween, I’ve been thinking, and I’ve come up with an idea for our costumes for the party.
JOEY: I’m intrigued. What’s on your mind?
KIRIAKIS MANSION
Philip walked into the room that he and Melanie shared. Melanie was holding Dani.
PHILIP: Evening.
MELANIE: Hi.
Philip and Melanie kissed.
PHILIP: How are my two favorite women this evening?
MELANIE: I am good. And our daughter is, as always, perfect. Except that she has been missing her daddy.
PHILIP: Well, she is in luck, as her daddy has missed her, too. Come here, angel.
Melanie handed Dani over to Philip, and he kissed her forehead.
PHILIP: You know, every morning when I wake up, I look at this face and can’t believe how lucky we are.
MELANIE:Me too. So, I’ve been doing some thinking lately.
PHILIP: Oh? What about?
MELANIE: I know it’s been a while since we talked about this. When you first brought it up, I was in the hospital and we were both worried because there were complications with my pregnancy. But, as we know, Dani is okay, and so are we, and now that everything’s calmed down, I think it’s the right time. I wanna talk about us getting married again.
CAR
André looked out the window.
ANDRE: Bart, do we need to have that lesson on cardinal directions and reading a map again? You’re going the wrong way.
HAWK: No, sir. I’m going exactly the way I’m supposed to.
ANDRE: Are you quite well, Bart? You don’t sound a thing like yourself.
Hawk smiled to himself. Luckily, his face was obscured by a dark pair of sunglasses.
HAWK: I must be coming down with something, bossman.
Hawk pulled the car into a parking lot and got out.
ANDRE: What the devil?
The next thing he knew, the door was flung open and Hawk pulled André out of the backseat and held his hands behind his back to cuff him. André looked around to find that the parking lot was actually a helipad. Out of the helicopter stepped Shane.
SHANE: André DiMera. I’d say it’s good to see you again, but we both know that isn’t true.
ANDRE: What’s going on here? I demand you tell me what this is!
SHANE: It seems that the master of disguise has been duped by one himself. Nice work, Agent Hawk. Would you like to tell him or shall I?
Hawk took off his sunglasses.
HAWK: I’ve already got him in handcuffs, so I guess I’ll give him the good news. André DiMera, you are formally charged with several crimes including, but not limited to, several counts of murder, attempted murder, falsifying your identity, falsifying legal documents and kidnapping in multiple states, territories and countries. Because of the vast nature of your crimes, as well as how widespread they are, you will remain in ISA custody until such time as a hearing is arranged. You will be allowed legal counsel prior to said hearing. From this point on, anything that you say can and will be used as potential evidence at your hearing.
ANDRE: Steven Hawk. How could I have been so naive?
HAWK It’s a good thing Mr. Beiderbecke is about the same size as me.
ANDRE: This will not stand! I will find a way out of this.
SHANE: You’re welcome to try, but you’ll only be making things harder on yourself.
Shane took André by the arm.
SHANE: Oh, and I wouldn’t try anything on the ride to your new residence.
Shane assisted André onto the helicopter. As the door was closed, André looked out and glared at Hawk, who kept his expression neutral. He watched as the helicopter took off and sighed.
HAWK (to himself): We got him, Dad. We finally got him.
