SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

CARLY: Congratulations, you two!
Carly hugged Melanie, then Philip.
MELANIE: Thanks.
DAVID: That’s fantastic news, guys!
PHILIP: Yeah, we’re pretty excited!
CARLY: So, when’s the wedding?
MELANIE: We don’t have an official date yet, but we’re thinking sometime in early spring. We just need to make sure that our wedding doesn’t interfere with the twins’.
CARLY: The twins?
PHILIP: Justin and Adrienne’s twin sons met a set of twins in Dubai and recently came back to Salem to announce that they’re getting married, they just haven’t revealed the date yet.
MELANIE: But, as soon as we know and set a date, we’ll let you guys know!
Daniel and Nicole, who were dressed as the couple from Dirty Dancing, walked over.
DANIEL: Hi, everyone!
MELANIE: Dad! Nicole!
PHILIP: We were just coming to look for you guys.
NICOLE: Well, here we are.
PHILIP: We have some news.
MELANIE: Philip and I are getting married this spring!
DANIEL: Mel, that is wonderful, wonderful news!
NICOLE: Congratulations!
Nicole gave both of them a hug. Daniel hugged Melanie and held his hand out to Philip. Philip took it and the two shook hands. They nodded to each other.

Some time later, Claire and Chase were called up to the stage. They had changed out of their original costumes and put on new ones. Claire was wearing a white floral-patterned dress, while Chase wore a black suit with a white shirt under it. The music began to play and they began to sing a duet. CLICK HERE to listen to the song they sang. After they had finished, several people applauded.
CHASE: Thank you all so much!
CLAIRE: Happy Halloween, everybody!
The couple got offstage, then kissed. Music started playing over the P.A. (CLICK HERE to listen to it). A moment later, they were met by Ciara and Trix, who were dressed as the twins from The Shining, as well as Joey and Alanis.
CIARA: That was awesome!
TRIX: You guys did so well!
CLAIRE: Thanks!
ALANIS: I love that you did a Nick Cave song!
CHASE: Well, after you let us borrow that CD, we’ve been getting into it.
CLAIRE: Plus, we had two costume ideas and couldn’t decide which we wanted to do, so we decided to do both.
CIARA: That is so adorable!
Theo and Kennedy walked over. Neither was wearing a costume. Instead, they wore matching Halloween sweaters.
CHASE: Hey, guys!
KENNEDY: Hi.
THEO: Hello. We got here just in time to see your performance.
KENNEDY: I am not familiar with the song that you sang, but it sounded nice.
CLAIRE: Thank you. I’m glad you guys came!
THEO: So are we.

Stephanie, who had dug out her old racing gear and gone as a racecar driver, was pouring herself some punch. Jeremy, dressed as Alexander Hamilton, walked over.
JEREMY: Hey, Steph. Long time no see.
STEPHANIE: Wish it was longer.
JEREMY: Still as charming as ever, I see. And looking quite gorgeous, as well.
Stephanie rolled her eyes and walked away.
JERMEY: What? I’m just trying to make conversation here!
Jeremy shook his head and poured himself some punch. Theresa, who was dressed as a cat burglar, stood nearby. Jeremy casually walked over.
JEREMY: Sup?
Theresa took a sip from her glass.
THERESA: Just trying to survive this party.
JEREMY: Yeah, it kinda blows, right?
THERESA: I’m sorry, who are you?
JEREMY: Jeremy Horton. And who do I have the pleasure of speaking with?
THERESA: Great. Another Horton.
JEREMY: Something wrong with being a Horton?
THERESA: Look, just ignore me, okay? I’m really not in the mood.
JEREMY: Okay, but you didn’t answer my question.
THERESA: What?
JEREMY: I’m just saying, it seems a little unfair. You asked who I was, I told you, I’m just asking in return.
Theresa sighed dramatically.
THERESA: Theresa Donovan, black sheep of the Brady family.
JEREMY: You too, huh?
Theresa raised an eyebrow.
JEREMY: I’m not exactly like the rest of my family.
THERESA: So, you’re not a saint?
Jeremy scoffed.
JEREMY: Hell no! No matter how much my parents and everyone else in this town wish that I was.
THERESA: Interesting.

Hawk, who was dressed as James Bond, walked over to John, dressed as a slightly different James Bond, who was standing by one of the doors.
HAWK: Guarding the door?
JOHN: Nope, just waiting for Doc. She’s freshening up a bit.
Hawk nodded.
JOHN: But, in case you were wondering, we’re all clear. Nothing out of the ordinary so far.
HAWK: That’s good. Are we expecting anything?
JOHN: Well, you can never be too careful. Unfortunately, these Halloween parties have a tendency to get derailed at some point, usually by André DiMera. However, as he’s in ISA custody, at least we won’t be getting any trouble from him.
HAWK: A good thing, too. Though we still have E.J. and Luna to look out for.
JOHN: That’s a fact.
HAWK: I’m keeping an eye out for them. Both at the Mansion and here tonight.
JOHN: Good. Like you said, you can never be too careful.
Marlena, who was dressed all in black, walked in.
MARLENA: You can never be too careful of what?
HAWK: John was telling me that these parties have a history of being interrupted.
MARLENA: They do, yes. Hopefully this will be the year that that changes. It’s nice to see you, Steven. How are you liking Salem so far?
HAWK: I’m enjoying it, thanks. I was quite young the last time I was here, and it’s nice to see everybody again, and meet some new people.

Joy, dressed as Black Widow, was getting food from the buffet line, when she felt a tap on the shoulder. She turned to see Chloe, who was dressed as Christine from Phantom of the Opera.
CHLOE: Hi, little sis.
JOY: Chloe! You came!
Joy put her plate down and hugged Chloe.
JOY: Good to see you!
CHLOE: You too! How are things going?
JOY: They’re good! You?
CHLOE: Good. I’m in town for the next few days, so I thought I’d stop by.
JOY: I’m so glad you did.
Brady walked over.
BRADY: Me too.

I love all the interactions and Halloween costumes! And great job with the music.

Thanks to the real show I instantly recoil when Brady talks to Chloe, but hopefully he will be far less annoying than the real show version.

I was nervous for a minute there! Glad Marlena is okay and presumably not replaced by Hattie (or any supernatural beings). LOL at both John and Hawk dressed as different versions of James Bond.

Jeremy and Theresa would be a disaster. Hopefully Theresa continues to keep her distance from him, though she seems intrigued by his Black Sheep status so we'll see.

Good to see Theo and Kennedy again. Love Claire and Chase singing.

I'm glad Daniel and Philip are being civil to each other.

Theresa is the black sheep of the Brady family but then Jeremy is the black sheep of the Horton family...this is interesting to say the least. I wonder if Stephanie will try to talk to her cousin Theresa about Jeremy? Considering Theresa is still grieving for Carter and she's a single mother I wonder if her interacting with Jeremy Horton of all people is the best thing for her right now.

Daniel surprisingly was pleasant towards Philip. I mean considering how Philip and Melanie's first marriage ended, well Philip slept with Daniel's then wife Chloe, I'm surprised he's managing to accept Philip.

Carly, David and Nicole were accepting which is great. But I wonder if Carly won't share the same concerns about Philip that Daniel does considering she is Melanie's mother.

Loved Joy interacting with her sister Chloe and then Brady happening upon them...this is going to get good.

Hawk and John of course are on the lookout for Andre but Andre is in prison right? Supposed to be on lockdown in a high ISA maximum security facility so he's not escaping any time soon. But Hawk his other uncle his Uncle EJ is still out there and his cousin Luna is also out there too.

I bet Joy will encourage Chloe to get back with Brady.

CHLOE: Brady.
BRADY: Hi, Chloe.
JOY: I am gonna leave you guys to it.
She touched Chloe on the shoulder.
JOY: And we are gonna catch up after the party.
CHLOE: No, Joy-
But Joy had already walked away. Chloe sighed.
BRADY: It’s nice to see you.
CHLOE: You too. Looks like we both had the same idea for costumes.
BRADY: Yeah. Well, Phantom was always our show.
CHLOE: You remember.
BRADY: Of course. I remember everything from our time together.
CHLOE: Brady-
BRADY: I’m coming on too strong, right? Sorry. It’s just, after thirteen years of insanity, I’m so grateful to get the opportunity to see you again. I know things can’t be the way they were, but can you honestly say that you don’t want to get to know the new us?

Tony, who was wearing a red and black three-piece suit, and Anna, wearing a similarly-colored dress, were talking to Steve and Kayla. Steve was dressed as a pirate.
ANNA: This has been such a lovely evening!
TONY: Yes, thank you very much for the invitation.
STEVE: I agree. You’ve outdone yourself again, Sweetness.
KAYLA: Thank you. It’s nice to finally have a Halloween party without an interruption.
STEVE: Good thing Steven was able to nab the Faux Count and put him away. Thankfully we haven’t heard a peep from Elvis Jr. or your cousin.
TONY: Yes, Elvis has been abnormally quiet. Might have to check on that, actually. You, Steven and Shane did a wonderful job of taking care of André.
STEVE: Just doin’ our jobs.
ANNA: Let’s not spoil what’s left of our evening talking about them.
KAYLA: I quite agree.
Sonia walked over.
SONIA: Hi guys. I’m probably gonna head out soon, but I wanted to thank you again for inviting me to the party. It’s been…
Sonia stopped when she saw Tony.
SONIA; Steve, what is he doing here?

Johnny walked over to Meadow and handed her a cup of punch.
JOHNNY: Here you are.
MEADOW: Thanks.
She continued staring at her phone, looking slightly perturbed.
JOHNNY: That phone do something to insult you?
She looked up.
MEADOW: What?
JOHNNY: It’s just, you’re looking at your phone pretty hard, there. Is something wrong?
MEADOW: I don’t know. Meadow hasn’t returned any of my texts.
JOHNNY: Yeah, where is Meadow? I thought you said she would be coming once she got into costume.
MEADOW: That’s what I wanna know. She’s normally really good at replying promptly, but tonight, crickets.
JOHNNY: She could have decided to have an early night.
MEADOW: That’s not like her. Besides, she was super excited for the party when she was helping me get ready.
JOHNNY: Okay, well maybe on her way over she met a girl and they hooked up.
MEADOW: Doubtful. Meadow is super cautious about that, especially after the fiasco with...her.
JOHNNY: Yes, the Meadow Who Must Not Be Named. Sorry, just trying to release the tension.
MEADOW: You’re fine.
JOHNNY: You’re really worried about her.
MEADOW: I am, yeah. Before we head over, do you mind stopping by the dorms? I wanna change out of my costume, anyway, and check in.
JOHNNY: Sure, whatever you want to do.
Johnny kissed Meadow’s hand.

It makes me wonder where Meadow Cole disappeared to or who has her? I wonder if she was kidnapped or possibly even murdered and if that is the case, it seems we may have a serial killer in our midst and how appropriate on Halloween for this killer to strike assuming that is what happened

Sonia I would have thought she would be more smarter than this...this is Tony, not his brother Andre. Andre was the one who was at your house. He was the one who the ISA have in custody. Tony is the good brother which I'm sure Anna your sister in law will confirm.

Brady wants to try again and honestly I can't blame him. He lost 13 years of his life. He wants to reclaim everything he lost.

I wonder what's up with the other Meadow.

Uh oh. I hope Steve emails the difference between Tony and Andre and Sonia believes him.

I don't think Brady was coming on too strong. I don't blame him for asking if they can get to know the new "us." I like how you put that.

I hope the other Meadow is ok. I'm not liking the thoughts that are running through my head right now about what happened to her.

I wonder if Sonia will believe Steve about this being Tony and not Andre.

I get Brady wanting to reconnect with Chloe after all of this time, but he seems to constantly be in her face and throwing memories of them together at her all the time. At least he does acknowledge that they can't be like they were before. But I think he's jumping the gun on "the new us" bit.
