BRADY PUB - GALWAY, IRELAND
AISLING: Well, here we are, then.
Claire and Chase followed Aisling into the Pub. While the general layout of the Pub was similar to the one in Salem, the bar was much bigger, and there were fewer tables around the room. There was also a stage with a microphone and sound system setup off to the right. The color of the room was different, as well, with more orange on the booths, and darker wood than the one back in Salem.
CLAIRE: Wow!
CHASE: This is really nice!
AISLING: Aye, Great-Uncle Colm’s done well for himself.
CHASE: How long has this place been owned by your family?
AISLING: Donkey’s years. Colm bought it when he was a young man, but at the time, it was just a wee hole in the wall. He’s built it up over the years, so.
CLAIRE: It’s beautiful!
Eamon, who had gotten there with Ryleigh a little bit earlier, waved from behind the bar.
EAMON: All right? What can I get you?
AISLING: Pint of the black stuff, cheers.
EAMON: Right, all three of you, is it?
CLAIRE: I’ll just have water for now, thanks.
CHASE: Same.
EAMON: Right-o.
Eamon poured three drinks and set them at the bar where Claire, Chase and Aisling had taken their seats.
CLAIRE: Thanks.
Eamon nodded.
AISLING: So, where’s the missus?
EAMON: Should be down in a mo’. She’s just sorting out Ryleigh and Kady.
AISLING: Are they having it out again?
EAMON: Aye, it’s brutal.
CHASE: Sorry, what’s going on?
EAMON: Just my daughters. They get a wee bit wound up with each other now and again. Nothing major.
A young woman, around Claire’s age with an expressive face and pink hair stormed down the stairs from the back, followed closely by Ryleigh and a woman who looked to be about Sami’s age. The younger woman is
Kady, while the older one is
McKenna.
KADY: She has gone too far this time, Mammy!
MCKENNA: Just calm down, love.
EAMON: What’s all this carry on?
KADY: She nicked my phone and started readin’ through my texts! I have private things on that phone, Daddy!
EAMON: Ry, give your sister her phone back.
Ryleigh rolled her eyes, went into her pocket and handed Kady her phone.
RYLEIGH: Fine. Not like there was anything interesting on there, anyway.
Kady grabbed her phone and put it in her pocket.
KADY: It’s gone too far. I mean, what, am I gonna catch her riflin’ through my knickers drawer next?
RYLEIGH: Catch yourself on! They wouldn’t fit me, for a start. Far too big.
KADY: You little-
MCKENNA: That’s enough, you two! You carry on like this, and you can just march yourselves back upstairs. Now, sit down.
RYLEIGH: I need to grab something upstairs, Mammy.
MCKENNA: Then go. And tell your granda to get down here.
Ryleigh walked into the back and upstairs, as Kady sat down at a nearby stool, crossed her arms, and looked down at the bar.
EAMON: Right, crisis over. Time for introductions. This is my wife McKenna, and our eldest, Kady. Loves, these are our distant cousins from America, Claire and Chase.
MCKENNA: Howya?
CLAIRE: Nice to meet you.
KIRIAKIS MANSION
Theresa was pacing her room. Brady walked in.
BRADY: Afternoon.
THERESA: You’re early!
Theresa and Brady hugged.
BRADY: Yeah, Philip let me come home early today, so I decided that I wanted to spend some time with just the two of us before dinner with your parents.
THERESA: Good, because we need to talk.
BRADY: That sounds ominous. Uh, what’s with the suitcase?
THERESA: That’s what we need to talk about. My Dad stopped by this morning. You know how my Mom and I got into a huge fight the other day because she said they were taking Tate back to D.C. with them?
BRADY: How could I forget? What did your dad say?
THERESA: Well, apparently my evil Uncle Drew is back. He’s escaped from ISA custody and is, apparently, teaming up with André DiMera. Dad’s worried he might try to come after Tate, so he’s taking him back to D.C. to protect him, and I’m going with.
