Chapter 574
SUSAN & EDMUND’S HOUSE - ENGLAND
PENELOPE: Susan, please-
SUSAN: They told me you were dead! Dr. Marlena Evans told me that you were dead, but I should’ve known! The only way to kill a vampire is a stake through the heart.
PENELOPE: Vampire?
SUSAN: That’s what you are! You’re that evil, evil, evil Kristen DiMera!
PENELOPE: Oh, for heaven’s sake, I am not a vampire! And I am not Kristen!
SUSAN: You’re tryin’ to trick me! Tryin’ to use fake British accent to confuse me!
Sister Mary Moira walked up to the door.
MOIRA: I thought we agreed that we would tell her together.
PENELOPE: I haven’t had the chance to tell her anything, yet.
SUSAN: Moira? B-but what’re you doin’ here with Kristen DiMera?
MOIRA: I came to see you, Susan. And to inform you that this is not Kristen. May we come inside, please?
SUSAN: Well, I’ll let you in, but that mean, mean, mean Kristen DiMera isn’t getting anywhere near the inside of my house.
MOIRA: Susan, we can explain everything.
Edmund walked up.
EDMUND: Darling, what’s going on here? What’s all the shou-oh my. Kristen. And...Moira? I never thought I’d see you two together.
PENELOPE: Oh, for the love of God, how many times? I am not Kristen!
MOIRA: I thought we discussed taking the Lord’s name in vain already.
Moira lightly tapped Penelope’s wrist with her ruler.
PENELOPE: Ow!
EDMUND: Could somebody please explain what’s going on here?
MOIRA: We were just about to. However, it would be appreciated if we could go indoors. London is rather drafty at this time of the year.
EDMUND: Of course, of course. Come in. Would you like some tea? I was just putting the kettle on.
MOIRA: That would be lovely, thank you, Edmund.
Sister Mary Moira and Penelope followed Edmund and Susan in.
SUSAN: Don’t think I’m not keepin’ my eye on you! You may have fooled my sister, but you ain’t gonna get away with foolin’ me!
Edmund brought in a tray with several cups of tea, and began pouring.
EDMUND: So, let’s get this out of the way, then. You say that you’re not Kristen DiMera. You must know that you look exactly like her.
PENELOPE: Unfortunately, I’m well aware of that.
EDMUND: Though, I must say, the English accent throws me off a bit. So, if you aren’t Kristen, who are you?
PENELOPE: I am Susan and Moira’s other sister, Penelope.
Edmund dropped the tea cup he was pouring.
HOPE & AIDEN’S HOUSE
HOPE: Hello, Mr. Jennings.
AIDEN: What...where have you been all night?
HOPE: I was investigating the situation.
AIDEN: I didn’t see you at the station, and I was there almost all night.
HOPE: I wasn’t at the station, I went out help search for Kristen and André.
AIDEN: Did you find them?
HOPE: Unfortunately, not.
AIDEN: I’d been trying to call you a bunch of times last night and this morning.
HOPE: My phone died, and I forgot my external battery.
AIDEN: Huh. I see.
HOPE: Where are you headed?
AIDEN: To work. I have clients to see.
Aiden looked at his watch.
AIDEN: Speaking of which, I need to go. But, we need to talk about this tonight.
HOPE: We will.
Aiden and Hope kissed.
AIDEN: I love you, Commissioner Brady.
HOPE: I love you, too. Good luck at work.
AIDEN: Thanks.
Aiden walked out the door. Hope walked over to a mirror on the hutch and touched the tiara she was still wearing. When she next spoke, she sounded quite unlike herself.
GINA: So, Hope’s traded in Bo for a newer model. How terribly interesting. It’s a shame he isn’t up to our royal standards.
Princess Gina smiled at her reflection in the mirror.
