SALEM P.D.
TONY: I should think it was fairly obvious who did it, it was André. Think about it, that’s what André does. He’s done it many, many times before. It certainly wouldn’t be beyond him to pull something like this. And there was something that he said that night. Something that makes me even more convinced that it was him.
The Halloween Party...
SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Eric looked over at Jade.
ERIC: What did you just say?
JADE: Tha-that’s my Aunt Simone. But, if you’re here...where’s Emmy?
KRISTEN: Sweetheart, there was never an Aunt Simone.
JADE: What do you mean? Of course there was-
KRISTEN: It was very convincing, wasn’t it? Spending all those years looking out for you. Letting you come stay with me when your father or his brother would hurt you. Sorry to tell you this, darling, but the game is over.
ANDRE: Your Aunt Simone never existed, because she is really my sister, Kristen.
JADE: What did you do with Emmy? Where is my baby?
KRISTEN: Oh, you won’t be seeing that little girl again. She’s long gone.
JADE: I think I’m gonna be sick.
Jade’s breathing became very heavy. Joey and Eric both walked over to her.
ERIC: Jade? Jade, it’s okay.
JOEY: Let’s just get out of here, okay? Let’s go for a walk.
Jade nodded. Both Joey and Eric assisted in leading Jade out of the room.
SHAWN-D: Let my daughter go!
KRISTEN: I don’t think so. I need her as insurance. I know I’m not the most welcome person in the room, and there are at least a dozen cops and/or ISA agents just waiting to make a move. Well, if any of you tries anything…
Kristen pulled a gun out of her handbag and aimed it at Claire.
KRISTEN: The girl gets it.
Shawn-D, Billie, Hope, Roman, John, Steve, Abe and Shane all pulled out their guns.
KRISTEN: Really? You people are that stupid?
Kristen chuckled.
KRISTEN: Wow. You know, I almost expected better than you. Guess I need to prove myself. Here we go.
André put a hand up.
ANDRE: I don’t think that will be necessary, my dear sister.
KRISTEN: Why not?
André leaned over so only Kristen could hear.
ANDRE (whispered): We don’t use children.
KRISTEN (whispered): Maybe you don’t. Anyway, she’s hardly a child.
ANDRE (whispered): Either let her go, or I’ll have to let Dr. Rolf know that he has more work to do.
Kristen sighed.
KRISTEN (whispered): You’re damn lucky, girl.
Kristen put the gun back in her purse, took her hand off of Claire’s mouth and gave her a shove. Chase, Shawn-D and Belle ran to her. Belle put her arms around Claire.
BELLE: It’s okay, baby girl. It’s okay.
SHAWN-D: Come on, let’s get out of here.
Claire nodded.
ANDRE: I don’t think so. None of you are going anywhere.
KRISTEN: Not until we’re finished with you.
TONY: André, that is enough! This is over!
André snickered.
ANDRE: Oh, no it isn’t, dear Tony. The fun is just beginning.
STEVE: What do you mean?
KRISTEN: You’ll soon see.
In the room that was designated as the lounge, Eric and Jade were sitting down. Her breathing had returned to normal. Joey walked into the room with a cup in his hand.
JOEY: I brought you some water.
JADE: Thanks.
Jade took a drink.
JADE: So, who is that woman in there? She said she pretended to be my aunt, that my aunt never really existed.
ERIC: Her name is Kristen DiMera. Although I would like to see the good in everyone, that woman is basically evil incarnate.
JOEY: Oh, come on. She can’t be as bad as Stefano or André!
ERIC: No, but she’s a close runner-up. She’s done terrible things to a lot of good people. Things that I’m not sure even I can forgive.
JADE: And she has Emmy. I need to find her! I need to find my baby!
ERIC: We will, I promise.
JADE: How?
JOEY: We’ll figure something out. I mean, hey, the two of us got away from Orpheus’ psycho kids, didn’t we?
Jade nodded.
JADE: Yeah, the night Emmy was born.
JOEY: We’ll get out of this, too, somehow.
ROMAN: So what exactly is it that you want, Kristen?
Kristen chuckled.
KRISTEN: To see you all, of course. It’s been so long! I’ve been waiting for this day ever since Marlena pushed me out of that window.
MARLENA: That’s not exactly what happened, and you know it.
KRISTEN: Details. Anyway, when André told me that this party was happening, we both knew it was the right time for me to make my grand reappearance.
ANDRÉ: It’s been a long time coming, my sister.
CHAD: You’ll forgive us if we’re not completely pleased to see either of you.
ANDRÉ: Oh, Chad. We haven’t come here for you. At least, not exactly. We came here for all of you, to let you all know that we are never far away.
Kristen sighed.
KRISTEN: You know, it’s so good to see everyone. It makes me so sad that this night has to end.
JOHN: So, you’re leaving already?
KRISTEN: Oh, don’t be too sad, John. I just came here to announce my glorious return, that’s all.
ANDRE: Of course, the night may be ending, but as I said, the fun has only just begun.
André chuckled darkly.
ANDRE: You’ll be seeing us again soon. Oh, by the way, we found a bit of a mess for you to clean up.
The lights went out again. After a moment, they came on again. André and Kristen were gone.
ABE: Is everyone all right?
STEVE: I think so. Dammit!
JOHN: We’ve gotta get going so we can track down Kristen.
NICOLE: Oh my god!
Everyone looked at Nicole. She was standing in shock. She pointed to the wall where the DiMeras had been standing. A few people gasped. Hung up on the wall, and badly scarred, were Mr. Green and Dante.
