Chapter 33
S.S. BO BRADY
Alexander looked out of the window again, hoping he was mistaken in what he had thought he had seen earlier. Sadly, he was not. He pushed a button.
ALEXANDER: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. I don't wish to keep you too long, so I'll cut right to the point. I need my first mate, Steve Johnson, in the captain's office. Again, First Mate Steve Johnson to the captain's office. That is all.
Alexander sighed and wiped his brow. A few minutes later, Steve came in.
STEVE: What's goin' on, dude?
Alexander turned to look at him.
ALEXANDER: We've got trouble.
He pointed out the window. Steve whistled.
STEVE: Oh, you've gotta be kiddin' me!
After the singing was over, music began playing. People were dancing. Everyone was having a good time. Claire and Chase were sitting at one of the tables.
CHASE: You did a great job!
CLAIRE: Thanks. It was a lot of fun!
CHASE: I can imagine.
CLAIRE: I hope you're having a good time tonight.
CHASE: I am, definitely. Are you?
CLAIRE: Yeah, for sure. I'm just not a huge fan of dancing.
CHASE: What? Since when? You were so great at it at the Last Blast.
Claire looked down. Chase put a hand on her chin.
CHASE: Hey.
Claire looked up at him.
CLAIRE: Sorry, I'm just...dances kinda aren't my thing anymore.
CHASE: That's okay. You wanna go for a walk, or something?
CLAIRE: Yeah. That'd be good.
Claire got up, and pushed Chase in the wheelchair out of the room. Meanwhile, Shawn-D and Belle were dancing.
SHAWN-D: Look at them.
BELLE: I know. They're so cute together. They kind of remind me of us.
SHAWN-D: Yeah, except Chase is a good kid. I was always a rebel.
BELLE: And I was the one who had to tame you.
SHAWN-D: As if.
They smiled.
BELLE: Gotta say, you've still got the moves, Brady.
SHAWN-D: Well, it helps that you can still keep up, Belle.
BELLE: Me keep up with you? In your dreams. You're the one who has to keep up with me.
SHAWN-D: Is that a challenge?
BELLE: You bet it is.
Shawn-D and Belle smiled and kissed.
STEVE: You cannot be serious.
ALEXANDER: Believe me, Uncle, I wish I wasn't.
STEVE: Oh boy.
ALEXANDER: You understand why I only called you up here. I don't wish to start a panic.
STEVE: Oh, believe me, I do understand.
Steve and Alexander looked into the dark sky. There was a storm brewing. But more than that, there was another ship. One that was heading towards them. This ship flew a flag. A black one, with a white skull and crossbones, and a red bandana.
