SALEM HIGH
CLAIRE: I'm...I'm class valedictorian?
WOODS: That's correct.
CLAIRE: Oh my gosh! This is amazing news! Thank you, Mr. Woods!
WOODS: There's no need to thank me, you're the one who put in all of that hard work. You should be very proud of yourself, Claire.
CLAIRE: Thanks! So, what exactly do I have to do as valedictorian?
WOODS: Well, the main thing is that you'll have to make a speech during your graduation ceremony. Please e-mail a copy to either myself or Principal Jackson one week before graduation. And that's pretty much it.
CLAIRE: Okay. That sounds good.
Claire wrote that down in her daily planner so she wouldn't forget.
WOODS: Do you have any questions? Is there anything else you would like to discuss?
CLAIRE: No, I think that's everything. Again, thank you so much!
WOODS: You're quite welcome. Have a good rest of your day. I'll see you in a few hours in biology.
CLAIRE: I'll see you then.
Claire picked up her things and walked out of Mr. Woods' office.

BRADY PUB
Sami and Lucas were having lunch at the Pub. Sami picked at her food.
LUCAS: You okay over there?
SAMI: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just nervous.
LUCAS: Nervous?
SAMI: About the wedding. I mean, in a day and a half, I'm gonna be Mrs. Lucas Horton.
LUCAS: Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous, too. But, it's a good kind of nervous, at least.
SAMI: Oh, yeah. Same here. For the first time in a long time, it's a good kind of nervous. I can't wait to finally be married to you. And this time we're gonna do it right. No secrets, no lies. Just you and me and the kids.
LUCAS: I feel the same. It's been a long time coming, for both of us.
Sami and Lucas kissed. The door of the Pub opened.
MAN: Hope we're not interrupting anything.
Sami and Lucas turned to see Carrie, Austin and their son Noah walk in.

DIMERA MANSION
E.J. walked through the Mansion. He came upon a card sitting on the table. He picked it up and looked at it. Written, in fancy lettering, was “Mr. & Mrs. Antony and Anna DiMera, you are cordially invited to the wedding of Samantha Gene Brady and Lucas Desmond Horton at St. Luke's Catholic Church on January 26th, 2018. Please use the attached card to RSVP”. E.J. looked, but saw no attached card.
E.J.: So, they're actually going through with it. And Tony and Anna are going. I've got to stop this wedding from happening.
There were several knocks on the door in quick succesion. E.J. walked over and opened the door. Abe stormed in.
E.J.: Abraham-
ABE: Where is he?
E.J.: Who d'you mean?
ABE: You know exactly who I mean! Andre! Where the hell is he?
André walked in, seemingly from the shadows.
ANDRE: Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
ABE: You! You sick son of a bitch! What have you done to Brady?

Abe really needs to learn the art of subtlety when it comes to the Dimeras. Lol. Then again if he takes care of the EJ problem without having a heart attack we will all be grateful.

So excited for this wedding! I hope Sami and Carrie get along til its over.

Also excited for Claire.

I'm not surprised by EJ's plans. I want Sami and Lucas to have the perfect wedding which means no EJ.

I don't think Abe is going to get any satisfaction out of his confrontation with EJ.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Marlena was typing in some reports on her desk. There was a knock on the door.
MARLENA: Come in.
John walked in.
JOHN: Hey, Doc. Hope I'm not interrupting something.
MARLENA: Not at all. I was just about to go on break.
JOHN: Good, then I caught you at just the right time.
MARLENA: Oh? And why's that?
JOHN: Roman and I ran into someone the other day. Someone you should know.
MARLENA: Who?
John opened the door and Eugene walked in. Marlena stood up.
MARLENA: Oh my goodness. Eugene Bradford!
EUGENE: Hi, Marlena.
Eugene and Marlena hugged.
MARLENA: Oh, it's so good to see you! It's been years!
EUGENE: Has it?
MARLENA: Well, for those of us who experience time in a linear fashion.
EUGENE: Ah, right.
MARLENA: So, what brings you back to Salem? And this time period?

SALEM HIGH
Claire, Ciara, Joey, Theo, Trix and Chase had all gotten a table together in the cafeteria.
CIARA: So, you gonna keep us in suspense all day? What's the story?
CLAIRE: I'm class valedictorian.
CIARA: Yes!
JOEY: That's awesome!
CHASE: Honey, I'm so proud of you!
Chase kissed Claire on the cheek.
CLAIRE: Thanks. I'm really excited, but kinda nervous.
CIARA: Don't be. You're gonna be awesome!
CHASE: Besides, you've got four months before graduation. There's plenty of time to work on it.
THEO: Three months and twenty-one days, to be precise.
CIARA: Close enough.
CHASE: Anyway, like Ciara said, you're gonna do great.
CLAIRE: Thanks.

BRADY PUB
SAMI: Carrie.
CARRIE: Sami.
Sami and Lucas both stood up. Noah ran over to Lucas.
NOAH: Uncle Luke!
Lucas picked him up.
LUCAS: Hey, big guy! How are you?
NOAH: Good. Me and Mommy and Daddy rode in a big plane for a long time!
LUCAS: You did? That's so cool!
Austin and Lucas shook hands.
AUSTIN: Hey, brother.
LUCAS: Welcome back.
Carrie and Sami gave each other an awkward hug.
SAMI: Thank you for coming.
CARRIE: Well, I wasn't gonna miss my sister's wedding. Especially since I'm supposed to be in it.
LUCAS: When did you guys get in?
AUSTIN: Just now. Really looking forward to the wedding, bro.
SAMI: We all are.
Austin and Sami hugged.
AUSTIN: Hey, Sami.
SAMI: Austin. Glad you cake.
AUSTIN: Of course.
CARRIE: Well, we just wanted to come say hi. We'll let you get back to this-
SAMI: No, join us. I mean, you're here, so you might as well.
CARRIE: Okay, thanks.
The five sat down at the table.

DIMERA MANSION
ANDRE: I'm sorry, but I've no idea what you mean? Is something the matter with Brady?
ABE: You know damn well what's the matter with Brady! What did you do, hypnotize him? Did you give him some drug that brainwashes him, makes him believe that he's Lexie?
ANDRE: Oh my. Well, that can't be right, Brady thinking he's Alexandra. How shocking.
ABE: I don't know what you did to him, but I intend to find out!
ANDRE: Abraham, I can assure you, I know nothing.
ABE: We'll see about that. All I can say is you'd better watch out!
Abe stormed out of the room. André smirked and chuckled to himself.
ANDRE: No, my dear Abraham, it is you who should watch out. As should the rest of Salem.

I'm glad Claire's friends were happy for her.

Cute how Noah calls Lucas "Luke."

I loved Sami's cool reception to her sister. Who blackmailed her into letting Carrie into the wedding? Lol

Marlena's reaction to Eugene was awesome.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
EUGENE: Well, it's kind of a complex story. It involves the DiMeras.
MARLENA: Ah. Yes, I can see how that would be complicated.
EUGENE: I actually got here in early 2017. Then, I ran into André DiMera, who bears a striking resemblance to my cousin, Tony. One thing led to another. One failed attempted brainwashing on his part later, here I am.
MARLENA: Here we all are.
EUGENE: Marlena, can you tell me, where is Calliope in this time period? Whenever I travel, whatever city I end up in, I usually like to try and find her.
MARLENA: I believe she's living in L.A. She's a fashion designer for DiMera Enterprises.
EUGENE: DiMera?
MARLENA: Yes. She works for Anna’s fashion company.
EUGENE: Anna Fredricks?
MARLENA: Anna DiMera, now. She’s married to Tony.
EUGENE: Right. That's right, she is. Sorry, I sometimes get a little confused about what's happened to who because of all the time travel.
MARLENA: I can imagine that that must be difficult.
EUGENE: It can be, but I make the best of it. And I love doing it.
MARLENA: Well, that's good to hear.
EUGENE: Well, I will get out of your hair so that you can get back to work.
Marlena and Eugene stood up and hugged.
MARLENA: It's very good to see you, Eugene. How long are you in town for?
EUGENE: Not sure. A few days, definitely. Probably longer. At some point, I do need to get to L.A., but I'd like to look around Salem for a bit, see what it looks like in 2018.
MARLENA: Very good. In that case, we should have dinner sometime. All three of us.
EUGENE: I would like that very much. I'll see you later, Marlena. John.
JOHN: Eugene.
John and Eugene shook hands.
MARLENA: Have a good day.
Eugene left Marlena's office.
MARLENA: Wow. Eugene Bradford.
JOHN: Yep. I was as surprised as you were. I never officially met him until a few days ago, but he has his own special title at the ISA, and you, Shane and Roman have filled me in on his story well enough.
MARLENA: He's a very special man. Not as special as you, of course. But, special in a different way.
JOHN: I can tell. Sami's middle name is from him.
MARLENA: The only thing I can't figure out is why André DiMera would try to kidnap him.
JOHN: I can only speculate, but a man with the ability to travel through time is someone you want on your side. That's why the ISA keeps tabs on him as heavily as we do, in addition to him being a special informant. I mean, imagine the kind of havoc that could be caused if Eugene's machine fell into the wrong hands.
Marlena nodded.
MARLENA: Well, it was very good to see him again, regardless of how long it took.

BRADY PUB
CARRIE: So, how's the rest of the family?
LUCAS: They're good. Not much to update you guys on, except that the twins are in their sophomore year.
AUSTIN: Well, that's good.
CARRIE: You guys need any help setting up for anything?
SAMI: No, we're good. We've got everything under control. Everyone's here, except...
CARRIE: Except what?
SAMI: My Maid of Honor. She'll be here, she's just been slightly delayed. All the other members of the wedding party live in Salem, except for you two and the Maid of Honor.
CARRIE: Gotcha.

I wonder who the maid of honor is. Could it be Sami's friend Jamie from high school???

Love love love this Eugene story. I hope his time machine is key to defeating Andte's pod people plan.

Claire sounds like me on her countdown. LOL. I love it.

It's ok Eugene. I don't do time travel and I still get lost in all the goings on and can't keep it straight.

I wonder who the Maid of Honor is for wedding. Sami has more enemies than friends so it could be anyone.
