Chapter 368 BRADY PUB Ciara was wiping down a table when Chase walked in. CHASE: Hey. CIARA: Hey. Claire'll be out in a few minutes. CHASE: That's cool. I wanted to ask you something. CIARA: What's up? CHASE: Have you heard from either of our parents lately? CIARA: No, but that's not surprising. They're on their honeymoon. I'm sure my Mom and Aiden have better things to do than call us. CHASE: Yeah, I know. I was just wondering. Claire walked out as she took off her apron. CLAIRE: Hey, you. CHASE: Hey. Claire and Chase kissed. Chase put an arm around her. CHASE: How was work? CLAIRE: Really busy. It's the last day of winter break, so everyone in the world wanted to go out to eat today. I'm so ready to just relax and spend time with you. CHASE: Me too. CIARA: Well, I'll see you guys tonight. My shift doesn't end for a few hours yet. CLAIRE: Okay, good luck. CHASE: See you tonight, Ci. Chase and Claire turned and left. SALEM P.D. JOHN: Ah, the DiMeras. They do tend to pop up a lot, don't they? Roman nodded. EUGENE: It was crazy. At first, I thought the guy that approached me was my cousin, Tony, but this man is not Tony DiMera. ROMAN: Let me guess. André? EUGENE: That's what he called himself, yes. And he's the total opposite of everything Tony is. JOHN: That's a fact. EUGENE: Anyway, this André guy tried to brainwash me. He knew that I had a time machine, and he tried to get me to do all of this horrible stuff. He wanted me to change history. ROMAN: How so? EUGENE: Really weird stuff, man. Something about making your son, Eric, fall in love with some lady with an elephant statue. Some lady named Lani who claimed to be Abe Carver's daughter. There was some other crazy stuff, too. This André is one sick man! JOHN: That he is. EUGENE: Naturally, I refused to go along with it, because it was just too crazy, even for me. Well, we got into an altercation. He overpowered me. Next thing I know, I wake up, completely naked, connected to some wires and floating in this...this pod like structure in the basement of Stefano's mansion. So, I disconnected the wires, got out, found something to cover up and went looking for someone, anyone that could help. Then, I got to the Brady Pub, and, well you know what happened from there. ROMAN: We certainly do. Well, Eugene, this is a very interesting situation. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is, Max, that's my little brother, the guy who runs the Brady Pub these days, he says he saw you on New Year's Eve, and that you broke into his Pub. EUGENE: But, I didn't, I swear! Or, at least, I haven't, yet. JOHN: How do you mean? EUGENE: Time travel, it's kind of complex. I don't experience time the way you do. I travel back and forth through it. So, there are events that have happened for me that haven't yet happened to any of you. Likewise, there are things that have happened for all of you that haven't for me yet. ROMAN: Well, whether it's happened for you or not, I sure hope there's a good reason for it. And knowing you like I know you, I have no doubt that there is. EUGENE: Me too. Thank you, Roman.

Well that explains that whole mess with Serena (and Lani). LOL I love this conversation between Eugene and John. Maybe Eugene can help shed some light on this Brady/Lexie situation. I'm worried about Hope and Aiden since no one has heard from them. Great chapter André DiMera.

Is it weird that Eugene makes perfect sense to me? I loved his explanation about things not happening yet for some of them. I forgot he's related to Tony, although I can't remember how.
Now I'm starting to be concerned about Hope and Aiden too. Hmm.

Hope and Aiden would still be in contact with their kids even on their honeymoon. It's definitely alarming.
It's good to see Eugene again.

Chapter 369 SALEM HIGH The door to Salem High opened, and a large group of students walked in. Many of them taking off hats and gloves, and unzipping jackets as they did. TRIX: Man, it's cold out there! CIARA: Well, that's snow for you. CLAIRE: It's so beautiful, though. Guys, can you believe it? It's our last first day back from winter break. CHASE: I know. It seems like time's flying by. The four came to their lockers and began taking things out of their backpacks and putting them in their lockers. CLAIRE: I mean, soon we'll be having our last week, our last day, our last Last Blast Dance. Then, there's graduation to look forward to. JOEY: And Senior Ditch Day. THEO: I thought we all agreed we weren't doing that. After all, skipping school if you aren't sick or it isn't an emergency is illegal. JOEY: I'm kidding. Chill out, dude. My dad's the best P.I. In Salem. No way would I be able to get away with it. A bell sounded, signalling that the students had five minutes to get to their first class of the day. CHASE: I'll see you at lunch. Love you. CLAIRE: Love you, too. Chase and Claire kissed. TRIX: Looks like I've got Calc first off. CIARA: Ugh, good luck. TRIX: Cheers. Ciara and Trix hugged. THEO: Calculus is based on numbers, not luck. CLAIRE: She knows, Theo. She's just saying that it will likely be a difficult class, especially since this is our final semester in high school. THEO: Oh. Well, I Calculus, as well, and the bell rang seventy seconds ago, meaning I now only have three minutes and fifty seconds until class starts, so I have to go. JOEY: Yeah, me too. See you at lunch, guys. Theo, Trix and Joey walked off in the opposite direction of Claire and Ciara. CIARA: Looks like we've got Homeroom together. CLAIRE: Awesome! The girls went to their homeroom class and sat next to each other. Several other students were there, including Noelle. CIARA (thinking): Oh great. NOELLE: So, looks like we're together again. But, where's your little girlfriend? Ciara took a deep breath. Claire put a hand on Ciara's. CLAIRE (whispering): Just ignore her. She's just trying to get you in trouble. Don't let her win. The final bell rang to signal that classes were now starting. After the Pedge of Alligance, Mr. Woods was giving announcements over the P.A. WOODS (V.O.): Good morning, students. Welcome back from your winter vacation. I trust that it was enjoyable. We have a light load for announcements this morning. The Yearbook Committee and Student Council will be having their first meetings this afternoon at 3 and 4, respectively. Seniors, if you are interested in ordering a class ring, please use your Study Hall or Homeroom period this week to go down by the Library entrance to order those. On a final note, Claire Brady, please report to my office. Claire Brady, please report to my office. Thank you all and have a wonderful first day back at Salem High.

I wonder what Mr. Woods wants to see Claire about. I'm sure Joey is gonna try to do something for Senior Ditch Day and get himself in trouble. I love the way you write Theo. Great chapter André DiMera! Will there be previews?

Thanks for reading and commenting, everyone!
Next week... The big day is fast approaching. SAMI: In a day and a half, I will finally be Mrs. Lucas Horton. But will everything go according to plan? E.J.: I must stop this wedding from happening. Meanwhile, Claire gets some unexpected news. NOELLE: What'd your lapdog do that got her sent to the Assistant Principal's office on the first day back? And two old friends reunite. EUGENE: Marlena. MARLENA: Eugene! All this and more next week on THE MELASWEN PARADOX!

Shut up Noelle. Maybe Mr. Woods wants Claire to keep an eye on a certain wayward student for him. LOL So excited for this wedding, which EJ will hopefully NOT succeed in disrupting. Can't wait to see Eugene and Marlena reunite! Great previews André DiMera.

Chapter 370 SALEM HIGH Claire collected her things and left the room. Ciara waved to her as she left. Noelle, who was sitting behind Ciara, leaned over so Ciara could hear what she was about to say. NOELLE (whispering): So, what do you think blondie did to be sent to the Assistant Principal's office? CIARA (whispering): There's more than one reason he could have asked her there. NOELLE (whispering): Oh, yeah right. The only reason people ever get asked there is if they've done something. And on the first day back from winter break, as well. Shocking. Ciara turned around. CIARA (whispering): What is your problem? NOELLE (whispering): I haven't got a problem. But you, your girlfriend and your best friend should be a bit careful. CIARA (whispering): If you even think about trying to mess with Claire or Trix, I swear- Mr. Wheton, the teacher who supervised Homeroom, cleared his throat. WHETON: Ciara, Noelle, something you wish to share with the rest of the class? Ciara turned to face the front of the class. CIARA: No, Mr. Wheton. Sorry. WHETON: All right, then. Remember, everyone, this is the same as Study Hall. If you aren't studying, or being excused to buy a class ring if you're a senior, find something to do, quietly. Meanwhile, Claire sat in the main office of the school. After a minute, Mr. Woods walked out of his office. WOODS: Claire, come on back. Claire walked into Mr. Woods' office. He shut the door behind him. Claire took a seat opposite Mr. Woods at his desk. WOODS: I'm sorry to have to take you away from your classes, so I'll try to be brief. I hope your winter vacation was nice. CLAIRE: It was. I hope yours was, too. And, don't worry, it was just Homeroom, and I finished all of my work over the break. WOODS: Good, I'm glad to hear it. Now, I wanted to talk to you about something. CLAIRE: Okay. WOODS: As you know, graduation is coming up in a few months for your class. CLAIRE: Right. WOODS: Now, I've been looking over everyone's grades from the last four years, and I'm very impressed. I know you started at the beginning of your sophomore year, and I recall discussing how you'd have to catch up a bit after having been homeschooled. However, I am more pleased than I can say that you have exceeded every expectation. You're an excellent student, you're always helping out when others have questions, your work in the Theatre program has been wonderful, all of your other teachers and I agree that you're a joy to have in class, and you have the highest grades of anyone in your class. CLAIRE: That's really nice of you to say. I try really hard. WOODS: It definitely shows. I'd venture to say that you have not only tried but thrived here. I've discussed this with the Student Council, as well as Principal Jackson, and it was pretty much unanimus. Claire, it is my honor to tell you that you have been elected class valedictorian.

Go Claire! Take that, Noelle. I wish Ciara had told Mr. Wheton she wanted to share with the class that Noelle was gossiping. LOL Great chapter André DiMera.

I'm glad it wasn't bad news for Claire. However, I thought Valedictorian was given to the highest GPA. I guess each school does it differently.
