My favorite line was the last, when Chloe said she wouldn't let go of Philip, not ever. Thanks for volume 1 of your story. I am sooo ready for the next part of the journey. I loved that line too.

Slyn, I have the ultimate compliment for you. I read this update instead of watching Mad Men.

Awesome update slyn! You had me crying! So glad that I was at home reading this and not at work!! Can't wait for the next installment! Crying at work is never a good thing. I recently did this while watching GH at work, people were staring at me in horror. I am so glad you enjoyed this! We got so much more to go!

I love Chloe and Parker together getting through to Philip. It was the perfect ending to part 1 of the story. I loved this line. "I just wanted him to have his family even if it was only for a little while." One of the first things I ever wrote for this story was Chloe's bedside chat with Philip. I knew I wanted her to be the one to get through to him. Parker originally was not there...but then I realized he sort of had to be. We needed Philip to come back to his family...so all four of them in the room made sense. Thank you so much for your kind comments. I am glad you are enjoying it.

Had me crying too. It's good that Melanie and Chloe were both honest with each other and now Melanie knows what really did and didn't happen at the Towers. They have so much in common with Philip being the first love for both of them, and how he made them each feel like a princess. My favorite line was the last, when Chloe said she wouldn't let go of Philip, not ever. Thanks for volume 1 of your story. I am sooo ready for the next part of the journey. Chloe and Melanie parallel quite a bit in Undertow. Their sad childhoods, their first love of Philip, finding family later in life, feeling like each is stealing something from the other etc I had a feeling you would like the last line. Thanks so much for reading and for the Mad Men compliment...made me smile. ;D

A/N - So part two of Undertow starts later this week (I'm thinking Thursday). I will post a link to the new thread for that part of the story here and in my discussion thread. I hope everyone will stick around for the rest of it. Philip is back and things get a lot more interesting whenever he is added to the mix. There will also be good stuff for fans of Chad, Sonny, Drew, Brady and more. I've been having fun writing it...angsty fun though. It is still me writing, so expect some heartache. ;D
UNDERTOW 2 myhourglass.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=generalauthors&thread=3284&page=1#85859
The management of the board is making a few changes. They are making the fiction section visible to members only.
What does that mean?
Well I know tons of us like to pass through and read stories on the fly. I do it myself. Well, now they want everyone to become a member of the site, to enjoy the stories here. I think that is a pretty fair exchange. They have created this nice place for us to chat, the least we could do is join in. I know many of the eyeballs that are reading Undertow are not the chatty type...so joining the board doesn't mean you HAVE to comment. We just hope that you do. At least I do. I love hearing what everyone thinks about what I am writing.
OK so in support of the upcoming change on the board and to celebrate/commemorate the end of "book1" of Undertow. I will be offering a PDF version of the complete story to any member that sends me a message.
Why would you want a pdf of this story?
Good question. Usually when I finish a fanfic I share a pdf of the entire thing, just in case anyone wants to re-read it in one swoop, or if they want it on an ereader etc. I don't know if it is a common practice in DAYS fandom, but in other fandoms it is.
Thanks again for all the support. I really appreciate it. So send me a message if you're interested.
