Intriguing first chapter - I'm looking forward to more! "Celestial Visions" made me think of Celeste too and the "dahling" sounds like her.

CELESTIAL VISIONS TENT
Woman: Come in dahling. Come sit and I will tell you your future. What is your name?
Chloe: If you’re really a fortune teller, you should already know my name. What’s your name?
Woman: My name is Celeste. And your name is Chloe.
Chloe: How did you know that?
Celeste: If you want to know more, dahling, you will need to produce a 20 dollar bill.
Chloe looks in her purse.
Chloe: I don’t have 20 dollars.
Celeste: It was lovely meeting you my child. Please tell my next customer to come in.
Chloe: Wait. I have a 10. What can you tell me for 10 dollars?
Celeste: I can tell you that it’s not enough money.
Chloe: I’ll bring more tomorrow. I promise.
Celeste: I suppose we can get started with 10 dollars.
Celeste yanks the bill from Chloe’s hand.
Chloe: Does that crystal ball really work?
Celeste: No my dahling, it’s just a prop. People expect someone in my business to have props.
Chloe: What can you tell me about my future?
Celeste: You have a boyfriend.
Chloe: That’s right, I do. His name is ...
Celeste: No! You mustn’t tell me his name. … I can see you are very close.
Chloe: Yes.
Celeste: But not as close as you could be. You are still a virgin.
Chloe: Excuse me, but that’s personal.
Celeste: Dahling, you want me to tell you your future but you don’t want me getting personal? You can’t have it both ways.
Chloe: Okay okay. So far, you’ve gotten everything right about me. But you’ve only talked about the present, not the future.
Celeste: Alright alright, let’s take a look at your future.
Celeste starts turning over some tarot cards.
Celeste: Uh oh.
Chloe: What? What’s uh oh?
Celeste: I see someone getting hurt. Terribly terribly hurt. No. Oh no. This has to stop. This has to end right now.

Chloe: What? What are you talking about? What do you see?
Celeste: The love of your life is going to get hurt.
Chloe: Oh no. What’s going to happen? Who’s going to hurt him?
Celeste: You are.
Chloe: Me??? What do you mean?
Celeste: I’m sorry dahling, your 10 dollars is up.
Chloe: Huh?
Celeste: That’s all I can tell you for 10 dollars.
Chloe: No, you can’t stop now. I need to know more. Tell me the rest.
Celeste: I will be here until the end of the week. Come back tomorrow and bring more money.
Chloe: Yes. I’ll be back tomorrow. I need to find out what’s going to happen to me. And to ... the love of my life.
Chloe leaves the tent and wanders aimlessly around the fairgrounds until a hand grabs her arm.
Philip: Chloe! We’ve been looking everywhere for you. Where have you been?
Chloe: Philip! Oh my god.
She throws her arms around him.
Philip: Chloe, are you okay? What happened?
Chloe looks at him and pulls away.
Chloe: I can’t tell you.
Philip: What do you mean?
Chloe: Nothing. Nevermind. Where are the others? Did you find them?
Philip: Yup. You were right. They were on the Midway.
Chloe: Good. Let’s go catch up with them.
Philip: Wait. Not yet. Remember you were going to tell me something? Something important. About the way you feel about me.
Chloe: Oh. Um. I ... I really think we need to catch up with Shawn and Belle and the others.
Philip: Chloe, they can wait. This is important. At least it’s important to me.
Chloe: I’m sorry Philip. I probably spoke too soon. I don’t have anything to tell you.
Chloe sees tears in Philip’s eyes. She kisses him.
Chloe: Come on. We came to the fair to have a good time. Let’s go on some rides.

Ahhhh poor Chloe after what Celeste told her she feels she can't tell Philip that she loves him. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch. I am wondering if the man Celeste sees Chloe hurting is Philip, ar Brady.
