I sure hope the don't botch Philip's character the way they did with the Will recast.
How old is Philip supposed to be now??
This guy is nowhere near close to how I expected ANY Philip recast to look..........um......I can't say anything else nice right now so I'll just stop with that comment.

I hope this recast Philip works out. I need something to balance out the influx of Marlena's progeny.
I looked up the actor's ages -- John Paul (Philip) is 35 and Eric Martsolf (Brady) is 44

Philip/Shawn/Belle/Chloe graduated high school in 2001 or 2002. So technically they would be early 30's. They've probably been aged about 5 years beyond that since Clair is 15.

Philip's back, but THE Philip is REALLY NOT back! I know it's only his first episode, but that's not the Philip I remember and truly enjoyed as a character.

He is not a good actor at all. He needs to wash and brush his hair. Jay will always be Philip to me

We don't have a lot of rules around here and we're pretty easygoing, but we do have a rule against disparaging an actor's appearance. So please do not bash the actor's looks. Feel free to discuss their acting style and hair style, or compare them to other actors, but please do not insult things they cannot change about themselves. In many ways, he has the right look. The build is the same, the hair is the same. From the back, it could be Jay. Then he turns around. Definitely not as handsome as Jay and the acting is very flat. He has no edge and no warmth. Then again, it's just one episode. Hopefully he will grow into the character.

OK............. I'm trying really hard to give John Paul a chance, but as far as I am concerned, someone returned to Salem, but it sure isn't Philip Kiriakis! Days needs to dump him and bring back Jay right away, the real Philip Kiriakis!
