I'm working on catching up so here's where I'm at and loving it:
March 28th. "Hallelujah" is such a pretty song. That is a really nice cover. Great mix. Every time I hear "Get a Job" I remember my dad always watched a show called "Sha Na Na" in the 70s.
April 4th. Another really great mix. Ah, Bobby Darin! We had to have dinner done before his short-lived show started and once it started we had to sit quietly or go to our rooms or out to play. My mom loved her Bobby D! Oh my, the "Theme from Somewhere in Time" gets me to nearly crying every time I hear it. It's so beautiful. The movie is very, very good. The theme song defines the movie perfectly.
Prince. Talk about wild and crazy guys!?! Love his music and talent. Don't know much about his personal life, don't want to. Love your tribute. My favorite is "Little Red Corvette" but I don't know why.

I'm hoping André DiMera will post his anti-Valentine's Day show. I listened live and it made my workday much more tolerable on Monday. You are such a great radio personality!

So, today, my show will be longer than normal. It will be on for three hours, because the guy who is on after me isn't able to make it in. So, my show will run today from 3 to 6 p.m. (Central time. For those of you on the Eastern side, that's 4 to 7 p.m.). Today's show will be a 9/11 tribute. You can tune in using the WRLR app (which is free), or by going to www.wrlr.fm and clicking "Listen". I hope you can all tune in!

I listened to some of the show on Monday André DiMera. It was good. Did you play the Alan Jackson song "Where were you when the world stopped turning"? I think that's what it's called.

The radio station is having its annual fundraiser this weekend. It's called the 3rd Annual WRLR Radiothon. The Radiothon is a fundraiser for WRLR. We are a nonprofit, volunteer run radio station, and we rely on the donations of our listeners for support. If you'd like to donate to WRLR via my show, The Mix, please go to www.crowdrise.com/the-mix-with-tony-young and click "Donate". Also, a fellow DJ named Carolyn and I will be doing a special 3 hour show tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. Central Time (which would be 6 to 9 Eastern/4 to 7 Mountain/3 to 6 Pacific). The show is called RetroGenesis, and will feature the music of Genesis, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Mike + the Mechanics, and other associated acts. You can stream WRLR live from anywhere in the world by going to www.wrlr.fm and clicking "Listen", or by using the free WRLR app (available in the Apple, Amazon and Google Play app stores. Hope you're able to tune in.

Good luck with the fundraising André DiMera. Your Genesis related show sounds good.
