I've posted about this a few times in the weekly threads, so I thought I'd put the info up here. I do a weekly radio show every Monday. I play an eclectic mixture of music. My show is called The Mix. If you live in or near the Lake County area of Illinois, you can probably pick up the show by tuning your FM dial to 98.3. However, you can listen to the station from anywhere in the world. There's three ways to listen online. 1. Go to the official WRLR website and click "Listen". 2. If you have the TuneIn Radio app, look up WRLR 98.3 FM 3. If you have a tablet or smartphone, you can download the free WRLR app from the Google Play, iTunes or Amazon app store My show is on every Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. (Central time). Below is a list of what time that is for other time zones: Eastern - 4 to 6 p.m. Mountain - 2 to 4 p.m. Pacific - 1 to 3 p.m.

Thanks so much for the info André DiMera and for translating the time zones, especially since I am time zone challenged. I've listened to your program on numerous occasions and it's fabulous. Love your musical selections. Definitely recommended listening!

André DiMera You have the perfect voice for radio, and that was a great mix of music. How did you get started doing radio shows?

Thanks, heroicmuse. It's something I've always wanted to do. It was actually a bizarre twist of fate that led to me being on the radio. And it all started about five years ago. Back when Borders was still around, my mom and I used to go to one right by our house. There was a little coffee shop inside, and mom and I would always get drinks. I frequently wear Beatles t-shirts, and one of the baristas, whose name was Wayne, would often talk to me about the Beatles. One day, about five and a half years ago, he was telling me that he's a D.J., and does a show about the Beatles once a week. He gave me the call letters and I started listening. Every morning, my dad used to go walking at our local mall. One day, he was walking with a man named Allan, who kept getting phone calls. My dad asked what he does that he gets so many phone calls. Al explained that he's the secretary treasurer of a local radio station. My dad mentioned me, and that I've always wanted to be in radio, and asked if there was any program about the Beatles, which there was. As it happens, Allan and Wayne were talking about the same radio station, and I ended up being a guest on Wayne's show in March of 2010. Wayne enjoyed having me on so much that I became a recurring guest, and came back once every month. I guess everyone at the station liked me, because in mid-August they asked if I would like my own show, which I did. So, I filled out an application, but was told not to expect to hear anything too soon, as the boss was getting ready for their annual awards dinner. That weekend, I got a call from the boss of the station, who said: "your show sounds good. Start Monday." And, it's just kind of gone from there. I'll have been with the station for five years this next weekend.

That's such a cool story, André DiMera. It's like those stories about the old time movie stars being discovered at the drug store or something.

Thanks, guys! I'm so glad you guys like my show! The thing I forgot to mention when I posted all of the info on my show, is that I also podcast my shows. Usually, the podcast goes up sometime on Tuesdays. I will post links in this thread to the podcast version of my show each week, in case anyone either missed it, or heard it and would like to hear it again. Here is the link to the podcast of this week's show: www.spreaker.com/user/4485607/august-17-2015

Love your choice in music. Friends in Low Places is great! Wonderful Tonight is in my personal top 20. André DiMera, you were having some of the same technical issues you had with the Days viewing event. LOL. You and your colleague handled it great!

Thanks, Kpatch. I'm glad you enjoyed it! The issue there was that I was playing a song off the computer, and it was still buffering (I got it off iTunes, but forgot to make it available offline) so I played a different song while it buffered. I'm glad you like "Wonderful Tonight". It's a beautiful song!
