Thanks for the previews Kpatch. Ohhh I can't wait too see what happens next. I am hoping that Jack is the one to kill Bin Landen while excaping the camp. Jen and Abby's reaction should be super. I am hoping that Jen will make the right choice.

PAKISTAN
I learned that without companionship, mental stimulation, a clock, or the benefit of sunlight, it’s impossible to tell the time. I had no idea how much time passed. I guessed it was a couple days since I posted the haiku. I was bored, scared, hungry, and impatient. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop.
And it did.
I heard a commotion in the other room, along with gunfire and screaming. I thought “this is it.” Miss American Pie Day. This’ll be the day that I die. The door to my room burst open and a Navy Seal aimed a rifle at me. He made a split second decision about whether I was a friend or foe. Damn, those guys are good. “Let’s go!” he shouted. I got to my feet and followed him out of the house. As I ran, I saw bloody bodies but didn’t spend too much time taking inventory. This time I was following orders and stuck close to my comrade.
Outside, I boarded a helicopter and waited for the others to get on. My heart was racing so fast, I thought it was going to pop out of my chest.
Jack: What day is it?
The helicopter pilot turned around.
Darin: It’s May 1st, 2011. Welcome back, Jack.
I smiled and exhaled a long sigh upon seeing my friend Darin.
Darin: You know, you could get in big trouble for plagiarism. Jack: Excuse me? Darin: You stole my poem. I mean my haiku. You used it without permission. Jack: So you got my message. Darin: Yup. It’s how we were able to get the I.P. address of the computer you were using and to pinpoint your location. And take out Public Enemy Number One.

It was amazing public enemy #1 could have been so dumb to give Jack access to a computer at any time.

Waw. That was worth the wait over the weekend. So cool. Jack was the one that lead them to Bin Laden. Just loved it. LOL over the plagiarism it saved Jack's life. I think any jury would understand. Of caurse Kpatch now I am going to have the song Bye Bye Miss American Pie in my head all day now. Thanks for the great start to the day.

Love it!!! Excellent story! So now I want to see what Jenn has to say about Jack. She went on and on about how Dr. Sleaze saved her life and dogging Jack, and it turns out that meanwhile Jack was busy saving all of the free world!!
I like "American Pie" too. It's one of my favorite songs and very fitting for this story. You did a great job Kpatch of capturing Jack's voice in his journal. I especially noticed that in today's chapter.

U.S.S. VANGUARD
Back aboard the U.S.S. Vanguard, I got to take a shower and eat a semi-normal meal. I was able to talk about my ordeal openly, but more than anything, I couldn’t wait to get in touch with my wife and kids and let them know I was safe. I longed to hear Jennifer’s voice and find out that all was well back home.
Captain: Sorry Jack, no can do. Jack: What do you mean “no can do”? Captain: You need to go through a formal debriefing process first. You can’t talk to anyone on the outside until after you get checked out and cleared. Jack: Do they still think I’m on a walkabout? Captain: I have no idea what your family thinks, but we’ve maintained that cover all the way through. Jack: How long is the debriefing process? Captain: A few days. We’ll get you to our base in Germany, and they’ll take it from there.
And that’s where my story ends. After the debriefing, I returned to Salem in the U.S. of A. only to find that my wife bought the walkabout cover story hook, line, and sinker. She divorced me, claiming desertion, and she’s involved with another man. Maybe I should be indignant, but the truth is, I don’t blame her. I’ve done a lot of wacky things in my life and I’ve hardly ever walked the straight and narrow. If she didn’t believe hard enough in me, it’s my own fault. My first mistake was putting work first. I should have accompanied her back to Salem when she went to see Mrs. H.
In any case, if you’re reading this Jennifer, I love you. I never stopped. You and the kids were in my thoughts every moment. And you always will be.

OMG - come on Jen, get a clue and forgive Jack. You two belong together, just like Bo and Hope!!!
Love this story - can't wait to see what happens next. Also can't wait to see how Jack's return to the show affects everyone and what kind of story they give him. Needless to say, it won't be anywhere NEAR as entertaining and loving as this one! JKJPatch Rocks!!!!!
