Great chapter Andre! Especially Belle's dialogue. I could picture and hear Belle's dialogue perfectly. That was spot on! I am so interested to see where you are taking this. I have my speculations, but I'll wait and see how the story unfolds.

Chapter 14 - The Total Eclipse of the Heart

This chapter is told in montage. The song “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler is playing in the background and the four main characters (Shawn-D, Jan, Philip, and Belle) are singing it.

SHAWN-D (singing): Turn around...

PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT
Philip & Melanie had bought an apartment recently. Belle is standing in one of the bedrooms looking out the window. Philip is standing behind her.
BELLE (singing): Every now and then I get a little bit lonely, and you're never comin' round.
PHILIP (singing): Turn around.
BELLE (singing): Every now and then I get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears.
PHILIP (singing): Turn around.
BELLE (singing): Every now and then I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by.
PHILIP (singing): Turn around.
BELLE (singing): Every now and then I get a little bit terrified, but then I see the look in your eyes.
PHILIP (singing): Turn around bright eyes.
BELLE (singing): Every now and then I fall apart.

THE LOFT
Shawn-D and Jan are still in bed together.
SHAWN-D (singing): Turn around bright eyes.

Philip is rubbing Belle's back.

PHILIP & MELANIE'S APARTMENT
BELLE (singing): Once upon a time, I was falling in love, and now, I'm only falling apart. There's nothing I can do. A total eclipse of the heart. Once upon a time, there was light in my life, and now, there's only love in the dark. Nothing I can say. A total eclipse of the heart.
SHAWN-D (singing, voice only): Turn around bright eyes...
Belle, Philip, and Melanie sit down on a couch. Belle starts crying. Philip puts his arms around her, and he and Melanie try to comfort her.

@ Kpatch. I am including the time that Jan kidnapped Shawn on the show and when he escaped by bike he had an accident and lost his memories. Jan made he think that he left Belle and was engaged to her.

Thanks DJM. I don't remember this. I probably fast forwarded through it all.

Great chapter Andre! I loved the musical interlude. It made it feel like a stage play. Totally worked in the context of the story and was very innovative. Nicely done!

Chapter 15

THE LOFT
It was about a month after Belle had filed for divorce. Shawn-D was getting dressed one morning. Jan walked out of the bathroom that was connected to the bedroom. She looked very pale and had one of her hands over her stomach.
SHAWN-D: Hey.
JAN: Hey.
SHAWN-D: Feeling any better?
JAN: Nope.
Jan sat down on the bed. Shawn-D sat next to her and put his arm around her.
SHAWN-D: I think you should see a doctor.
JAN: I don't need to see a doctor. I'm fine.
SHAWN-D: No, you're not fine. You've been tossing your cookies every couple of hours for the last week or two. You need to see a doctor.
JAN: Okay. Fine. I'll go to the...
Jan got a strange look on her face.
SHAWN-D: Jan? Jan, what is it?
JAN: I need the bathroom again.
Quickly, Shawn-D led Jan to the bathroom. She made it to the toilet just in time.

SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
A little while later, Jan was sitting in a room in the hospital waiting for a doctor. After a few minutes, a doctor came.
DANIEL: Hi, there. I'm Dr. Daniel Jonas and I was awarded sexiest doctor of the year. And you must be Jan Spears.
JAN: Yup, that's me.
DANIEL: Well, Jan, may I just say that you are...the most...beautiful...woman...I have ever seen. I would do...anything...for you.
JAN: That's nice, but I already have a boyfriend. And, it looks to me like you already have a wife.
DANIEL: I see. So...what's...the problem?
Jan explained her symptoms to Daniel.
DANIEL: I see. Well...I think...that I'll need...to give...your body...a full look over. Go behind...that curtain...to undress, please.
JAN: Um...is that really necessary, Dr. Jonas?
DANIEL: What...do...you mean?
JAN: It's only my stomach that's bothering me. Is it really necessary to check my entire body?
DANIEL: I see. Well...maybe it's not...necessary. I'll just...do...some tests...to see...what's wrong with you.
So, Daniel did some tests.

Yup, that's Dr. Dan. His newspaper ads say: Expect to be groped.
I'm almost feeling sorry for Jan, but at least she spoke up for herself. I have a bad feeling she's pregnant too. Too bad Shawn doesn't have any money, because I want Belle's lawyer to take him to the cleaners.

Can't wait for the next chapter!
