Chapter 6

JAVA CAFE
Shawn-D is sitting at one of the outside tables, drinking a cup of coffee. Suddenly a hand taps him on the shoulder and he hears a familiar voice.
MAN: Someone sitting here?
Shawn-D turns around to see that it is Philip.
SHAWN-D: Philip?
Shawn-D stands up and the two hug.
SHAWN-D: When did you get here?
PHILIP: Last night. Melanie came to see me while I was off in Europe with Parker. We reconciled, and we're re-married now.
SHAWN-D: That's awesome. Congrats!
PHILIP: Thanks. So, are you waiting for someone?
SHAWN-D: Sort of. But, she won't get here for another few minutes. Take a seat.
Philip sits down on the chair across from Shawn-D.
SHAWN-D: It's good to have you back in town, man.
PHILIP: It's good to be back. You look good. How's things?
SHAWN-D: Things have been a little crazy.
PHILIP: Yeah, I heard. Belle's been talking to me a lot. I hear things aren't going too well.
SHAWN-D: Yup. Well, Belle wanted some space. So, I'm giving it to her. She can take as much time and space as she wants.
PHILIP: Yeah? So, other than that, how are you?
SHAWN-D: Pretty good, actually. Things are looking up.
PHILIP: Good.
Shawn-D's phone buzzes. He takes a look at it and laughs.
PHILIP: What's so funny?
SHAWN-D: Nothing. Just a funny text from my girlfriend.
PHILIP: Girlfriend? Shawn, are you cheating on Belle?
SHAWN-D: You see, when you put it like that, it sounds so negative.
PHILIP: Dude, it is negative! You have no idea how negative it is! I should know! I cheated on Melanie once, and I almost lost her. Thankfully, we're still together, but it could have been a lot worse! Belle needs to know the truth!
SHAWN-D: I agree. But, I don't think that this is really any of your business, Philip.
PHILIP: Of course it's my business. Belle and I are good friends. We were married at one time. I can't not tell her about this.
SHAWN-D: Yes, you can. It's very simple. I plan to tell her.
PHILIP: When?
SHAWN-D: Soon.
PHILIP: How soon?
SHAWN-D: Soon.
PHILIP: Okay. So, this...girlfriend...who is she? Anybody I know?
SHAWN-D: Actually, yeah. She's...
Jan walked up.
JAN: Hey, honey.
Jan kissed Shawn-D on the cheek. Philip stared at Shawn-D in utter disbelief.

Not only is Philip back my favorite couple is back together. I so wanted that to happen on the show. Shawn, Shawn, Shawn What are you thinking. Wish Shawn Senior was around to kick him in the butt. Thanks for the super chapter Andre.

Has someone replaced Shawn D with a lookalike. "When you put it that way, it sounds so negative." LOL. Great convo between Philip and Shawn. And I could just picture Philip being incredulous at finding out Jan is Shawn's girlfriend. Love seeing the Last Blast teens together again! This is a fun story, Andre.

Chapter 7

JAVA CAFE
JAN: Hey, Philip.
PHILIP: Jan Spears?
JAN: So, you remember me.
PHILP: Yes, I remember you. Shawn, let's take a walk for a minute, shall we?
SHAWN-D: Okay. I'll be back in a minute.
Jan sat down at the table. Shawn-D got up, and he and Philip walked off.

PARK
Philip and Shawn-D walked to the park.
PHILIP: Okay, so, now that we're out of earshot of her, I just have one little question for you: (yelling) What the hell are you thinking??!!
Philip slaps Shawn-D upside the head.
SHAWN-D: Ow! What was that for!?
PHILIP: You know perfectly well what that was for, Shawn! I mean, seriously?! Jan?! Jan Spears?! Out of all the women in Salem, you chose to cheat on Belle with Jan Spears?! This is too much, man!! Too, too much!!!
SHAWN-D: Dude, lay off of her, all right? She's different. She's changed.
PHILIP: Changed? Changed?! In what way has she changed?!
SHAWN-D: She's a lot nicer now. She's not crazy. Or, at least, not as crazy as she used to be.
PHILIP: So, you think that makes it all right, do you? You think that makes it okay for you to sleep with her while you're still married to Belle?
SHAWN-D: Jan and I have not slept together, okay? We're taking things slowly.
PHILIP: What's happened to you, man? What has Jan done to you? I thought you were smarter than this!
SHAWN-D: Jan hasn't done anything to me. I'm the one who asked her out.
PHILIP: You...you what?!
Philip laughs.
PHILIP: This is some joke, right?! Please, tell me that this is all just some sick joke!
SHAWN-D: It's not a joke, Philip. Jan loves me and I love her.
PHILIP: You love her? Well, what about Belle? You used to love her, too, remember? Or, has that psychotic witch brainwashed you into thinking that you and she are having some kind of sick, twisted love affair?!
SHAWN-D: Jan hasn't brainwashed me. And, yes, I used to love Belle. But, things change. Time makes you bolder, children get older, and I'm getting older, too.
PHILIP: This is serious, man. Stop quoting Fleetwood Mac lyrics. You know what, I can't deal with this right now. I'll see you later.
Philip walks off.
SHAWN-D: Hey, Philip, remember, you promised to let me tell her!
PHILIP: Yeah, yeah!

JAVA CAFE
Shawn-D walked back to the table where Jan was sitting.
JAN: What was that all about?
SHAWN-D: Oh, nothing important. Philip just had to go leave for a very important meeting and he wanted to make sure that everything was all right. But, let's talk about a happier subject.
JAN: Like what?
SHAWN-D: How would you like to have dinner with me and my parents tonight?
JAN: I'd love to, Shawn, but, I don't think your parents would be too pleased to see me. Especially after all that I've done to you.
SHAWN-D: It'll be fine. I've already explained to them that Belle and I have been having issues. I'll let them know shortly before you arrive that I'm bringing a guest. Don't worry. Everything will be fine.
JAN: Okay. But, they can't know that we're dating. Not yet, anyway.
SHAWN-D: Trust me, they won't know.

Another good chapter.

I still cannot feel it for Jan, ok maybe a little. However, let's remember that in the last story she was placed in the cell for a year with Samantha Evans. Who IMO is not all that sane either.

I think there is more to the story than just Jan hoodwinking Shawn D, some how this is connected to Samantha Evans and her revenge.

On Tuesday, Melanie and Philip begin to plot.
MELANIE: Belle has to know the truth!

Marlena pays a visit to her twin on Wednesday.
MARLENA: I need you to tell me what you know about Jan Spears.

Belle returns on Thursday and gets a nasty shock!
BELLE: What?

OMG. This story is just amazing and is getting better with each chapter. loved the way Philip talked to Shawn D. I could just picture the hit across the head. I wanted to do that, but it felt good that Philip did it for me. Can't wait to see Bo and Hope's reaction when Jan arrives for supper. Thanks for the super story Andre.
