I wonder if that commercial is resonating with anyone. The four of us who said we hate it are of different ages and stages in life, some students, some graduates, some are parents of future college students, and we ALL hate it. I actually don't hate it. I like the message of "You can rise above your circumstances and your real life has given you a valuable skill set." That being said, I loathe for-profit schools with the fire of a 1,000 suns and want to see them all go bankrupt. But other than that I don't hate the commercial.

I definitely agree with all that were mentioned and have to add the Old Navy commercials in there too.

Okay, so now that horrible University of Phoenix commercial has a different lyric where she sings "I took two bullets to the chest." Huh?

Okay, so now that horrible University of Phoenix commercial has a different lyric where she sings "I took two bullets to the chest." Huh? I believe they're showing a veteran when they sing that part. You know what commercials bother me? Nutrisystem. They're not really SO awful in themselves but I hate how Marie Osmond is always in some kind of super tight shaper dress in a slimming pattern and has tons of contouring makeup on. I don't think she's overweight at all but it just seems like they're trying to use all these tricks when they don't need to. It just looks so fake.

Okay, I've got a new one. Actually, make that two.
They're both for Breyer's Gelato, and both feature the same annoying family. In the first one, the parents are trying to quietly eat gelato, and hide it from their son. However, their son sneaks in and asks if it's ice cream and if he can have some. They say no, fore really lame reasons such as: "You wouldn't really like it. It's got caramel and crunchy stuff". This doesn't satisfy the boy, so his parents say they won't let him have any because it's not for kids. In the extended version of this commercial, the dad says, in the most immature voice ever, especially because he's got a mouthful of gelato "I'm a grown up". In the second commercial, the child has gone to bed and the parents are, once again, hiding their gelato eating from their son. In probably the loudest whisper I've ever heard, they congratulate themselves on getting the kid to bed so they can eat. Then, in the most annoying voice he possibly can, the child says, nay, shouts: "Can someone read me another story? DAD!!!".
These commercials are so annoying! I don't know if it's the kid or the parents. I want to say it's the parents, but the kid is just annoying. I know, he's a little kid and I should cut him some slack. But, honestly, the whole commercial is just kind of horrible! Which, is really sad, as Breyer's Gelato line is actually pretty good.

And it doesn't make you want to eat the gelato, does it?

No, it doesn't, Kpatch. However, there is one good thing I can say about it: at least it's not the University of Phoenix commercial. "We Rise".

I don't like the Mac & cheese commercial where the kids wants his dad to go to jail for eating his Mac & cheese.

Geico's commercials are turrible! The lizard, cavemen and remember Jed Clampett actually made his fortune going on-line and saving on his car insurance in.....1962!
Geico did have a good one last year with Peter Pan. I liked it when Pete told that chick Joanne she did not look a day over 70.
This is from the local market, but I am sure it is a nationwide epidemic, Ambulance Chasers. The last 4 commercial spots before Days starts goes to 4 different AC'ers. We even had one of these clowns do a parody of the Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man In The World" commercial, Ambulance Chaser style. It was TURRIBLE!
Well.....There You Have It!

You don't live in Alabama or Florida do you? This attorney here did a commercial just like that - most interesting man in the world. He was recently pulled over for a DUI though so he seems to have pulled all his ads in an effort to lay low for a while.

But hey, we still have that derelict loser the Alabama HAMMER! Flo was mentioned earlier in this thread, Hourglass Nation be thankful you are not subjected to Flo and The Hammer in the same commercial, it is turrible! Hammer claims to have the insurance companies eating out of the palm of his hand and there is Flo looking like a horse eating out of a trough. Jesus its BAD! Well.....There You Have It!

Those horrible Milky Way commercials where people screw stuff up and say, "Sorry, I was eating a Milky Way." If somone misspelled my tattoo because they were eating a freaking candy bar I would smack that thing out of their hand and stomp on it til they cried.
They are basically saying people who eat their candy bars are careless idiots. Not a great message. I HATE that commercial.

I can't stand the insurance commercials where the couple trashes their house and yard in an attempt to avoid calling their insurance company.

Especially in the one when the kid yells, "Can someone read me another story? DAD!!!," and she points her spoon at the dad and makes a stupid "Mmm" noise. Dude should throw his spoon at her head. But, yeah, he's like a goofy Homer Simpson saying, "I'm a grown-up," in the other commercial.

I hate hate hate those Crocs commercials with the child's voice singing "Come out and play" or "Oh I am so happy." Nails on chalkboard.
