Who else do you think will be leaving. Not necessarily who do you want to see departing. Who do you think will get their walking papers this summer?

Gabi and Gus
As much as I want to see Dumbazz gone, I don't think he will be leaving anytime soon. The show likes to keep things even as far as love interests go and I think Nicole will end up back with Brady so if Dimwit is gone that leaves no one for Melanie...
Well wait a minute, maybe Melanie will be leaving too seeing Carly is leaving so then Dimbulb could leave too!!

I chose Dario and Gabi because they are boring. Gabi has absolutely no story.
I think Daniel will be the odd man out when Jack returns and Carly leaves. And with Daniel and Carly gone, Melanie has no anchors, so I think she's out too.

I don't think Daniel will be an immediate release. I think there will be a long in between phase like with Bo/Hope/Carly.
Gabi for me is a definite if they do the gay storyline with Will as that will leave her with nothing.

Gabi, Dario & Gus.... Corday said they are getting rid of characters that haven't panned out... so far Quinn and if he is truly reading forums & blogs etc, then Dario has to go also....

I agree with those three. I can't think of anyone else they would/should let go. I would hope Abe (shudders) and Lexie but Corday said their lack
Of storyline was embarrassing so
I'm assuming They might be getting one. Boo

With Will being gay, that leaves Gabi with absolutely ZERO story potential, so she's definitely gone. I'd like to see Dario go, but I have a sinking feeling he's not going anywhere. I feel like TPTB adore Molly (she IS cute) so she "needs" a love interest, so Dario is here to stay.

I voted for:
Gabi - Will's going to be gay, so after her role into that storyline is over, she will essentially not be needed. I think her time is up!
Stefano - Not because the show would want to get rid of him... but because he's getting old and might retire soon.
Caroline - She's not a good actress, doesn't have much of a role on the show, and she's getting older.

I absolutely believe Mel and Daniel are next.
With the news of Crystal's departure,I really don't see how they're going to keep Mel/Daniel.As long as Mel was a Kiriakis,she was pretty much safe as they are one of the core families of the show.But since Corday pretty much lied when he said one couple would make it and one wouldn't after the ONS and Philip and Mel didn't make it,I just don't see it happening.I thought it was kind of interesting that they gave Carly more of a past by writing her as Melanie's mother,but with Crystal leaving,I don't see Mel sticking around for long if her mother won't be.As someone else stated as well,Daniel will be the odd man out once Jack returns.History dictates that Jack and Jenn will most definitely find their way back to eachother,unless the writers are going to choose not to go that route.I never believed the walk about story.That's just not Jack,so I believe something actually happend to him that took him away from his family.If that happens,and Jennifer realizes she jumped to rash conclusions yet again about Jack,she'll feel guilty,fall for him again,and Daniel will be out on his behind.So yeah,I see our father/daughter duo on their way out.

I voted for Dario & Gabi. For my third, I'd go with Gus because if Vivian is leaving, where does that leave him?

I wonder if the characters like Gus count as part of the 5 or 6 departures. I am sure he's out but since he is probably considered recurring he doesn't save them much money. Does anyone know if Justin and Adrienne are on contract or recurring? I would think that their son returning to town will give them more story. Plus she's Jack's sister so J&A could be involved in Jack's s/l too. I would think that at least some of the departing characters will be on-air into September or October considering how far ahead they are taping. Maybe that's what was meant by the big changes we will see in September.

FYI, I posted this on the casting changes thread too. I called the Days viewer comment line this morning and the mailbox is full. I can't help but think that the casting changes are the cause of all of the phone calls.

I voted EJ as I think that so many people are disgusted by his evil ways. With EJ goes Nicole, too.  Sadly... Unless Nicole and Brady get back together, there's no one rootable for her to be with. |

Nooooooooo, not nicole!! It is so hard for me to separate what I want to happen and what I think will happen, but I have to think Gabi and Darlo will be out, especially if any young ppl come back (like Shawn, Belle, Chelsea, Nathan, Stephanie, Phillip, etc.). If young people aren't coming back, AND they get rid of more young people, this show is going to skew really old imo. Sadly I don't think Gus "counts," and I will be sad to see him go. He was HILARIOUS when he sassily pushed his chair in after Quinn told him to leave yesterday.
If I were a betting (wo)man, I would say Gabi, Darlo & Daniel are on their way out.
