Melanie is a nurse and she looked on a patients chart and made a phone call and divulged what was on that chart....guys, that is one of the biggest no no's in health care there is...it is big time against the rules......she also manipulated Philip using his love for her and his desire to stay married to her to get Chloe's personal information....and once again promptly divulged it to a third party....(actually the order was reversed but hey, my mind runs by it's own time frame)....
Not only is this immoral, it's unethical and she should lose her job telling patient information........

I know! She should lose her job. If she and Kate try to get custody through the court system, Melanie will have to admit that she found out about Chloe's condition by looking at her medical chart.
I was cringing during that whole confrontation scene between Melanie and Chloe. Melanie obviously incriminated Philip who is basically Chloe's only support net. My heart broke for poor Chloe.

My heart breaks for her too....she needs help...she is ill...she does not to be attacked. The woman didn't choose to have PPD....I hope Philip continues to stand by her, but with Melanie in the mix, who knows......

Melanie is a Twit with a capital T! I thought Philip overshared too much information to Melanie. Yeah, I know she guilted him into telling her why Chloe was there at the hospital but he didn't need to tell her about Chloe leaving Parker alone. All he had to say is that Chloe has been depressed and he was trying to make sure the mother of his child was healthy enough to take care of Parker. He could have left out the details.
I agree sportsgirl. I hope Philip goes after Melanie for taunting Chloe with the information he told her in confidence. Unfortunately, I think Philip will be worried about the still shaky ground he is on with Mel and won't get mad at her. Goodness, I can't stand Melanie.

While I'm not a fan of Chloe this time around (the whining gets on my nerves),I really feel that what Mel did was wrong.I get that she's hurt,I get that she's angry,and yes,I even get that she has a need to knock Chloe down a few pegs,it still didn't give her the right to divulge Chloe's personal information.Most of you who know me,are well aware that I have a loyalty to Philip and Mel as a couple,BUT Philip needs to wake up where BOTH women are concerned.I love Philip to death,but he tends to go stupid where both women are concerned.He has always had a blind loyalty to Chloe no matter what she does,no matter how she tends to step on him,and now he's doing the same with Mel.I find it disconcerting that such an intelligent man wouldn't find it odd that out of the blue,after months of Mel's verbal abuse,that she'd want to give their marriage another try.I understand that he loves her without question,without reservation,but he's the one who will end up losing in the end.He needs to quit drinking the Salem Stupid juice,lay into his wife,realize that once in a while Chloe needs to stand on her own in order to learn to become stronger....oh....and he needs to kick Kate to the curb permanently.

I think that Melanie just loves to lord her "chastity" and goodness over Chloe. Hate her for that alone right now. The more I think about it, I believe Kate knew this weakeness of Mel's...her ego...used Melanie to accomplish the goal of bringing Chloe down and at the same time, reveal her own impure intentions towards Philip. Kate is not the forgiving mama bear and Melanie hurt her son for months and months by letting Nathan folow her around like a puppy while pretending they were only friends. I think that Kate is going gor a two-fer...and I love her even more than ever. She's Kate after all. I have to remember that Parker is not getting hurt...this is just a story...none of this is real and then I can sit back and enjoy Kate's particular brand of punishment. This is all going to backfire on Mel and Carly and Daniel's recriminations are going to be the least of her consequences, Her reputation with Maggie will be scarred for joining forces with Kate. I wonder how Victor will feel about it as well. Heck, even Stephanie iwll come out smelling like a rose compared to Melanie.

Wow, I hadn't considered that Kate was baiting Melanie. I figured Kate actually had good intentions. She knows Melanie makes Philip happy and she was trying to get Melanie back into Philip's life so he could work his charm on her and win her back. This seems like the first time Kate was trying to make up, rather than break up, one of her children's relationships.
Addicted, your comment brings a whole new layer to this story for me.

Kate never has good intentions. And everyone knows it, including MEl! She knew just what buttons to push and I think she knew all along that, like Belle, Melanie would dig her own grave. SHe just had to hand her a shovel.

Kate almost never,if ever has good intentions.Those who said she's bringing down Mel at the same time are absolutely right.ALTHOUGH with that being said,for a while I DID think Kate saw Mel as the lesser of two evils since she DOES hate Chloe so much.So yeah,it did cross my mind for like a micro-second that maybe,just maybe Kate was trying to bring Mel and Philip back together again.With Mel out of the picture,it paves the way for Chloe to fall right back into Philip's orbit romantically (which I'm sorry to all you Chloe/Philip fans,I hope doesn't happen,just based on the way Chloe has been written since her return in 07),and Kate really wouldn't want that to happen.
