Love that they know Kristen is dead without touching her. Think they would check for a pulse. Temp of body. It would help with time of death when the medical examiner comes. Roman is a card.

THIS is how I always hear the dialogue in my head. Absolutely LOVE how you have every character down pat. Can not wait to read more of this one.

Chapter 2
Rectory
Roman: Listen up. Dis here is Brady. ... What do you mean which Brady? Da first one. Look, we have a seven eleven at 542 2nd Avenue with a possible 867-5309. I want a forensics team down here stat. Dat means yesterday. And bring donuts.
Later, the forensic team arrives to dust for fingerprints and scour the rectory for evidence. Roman and Hope are supervising the crime scene when the morgue truck arrives. The workers prepare to move Kristen’s body when Brady enters, wearing his tuxedo, bowtie, and topcoat.
Brady: Wait! Hope: Brady, you shouldn’t be here. Brady walks toward Kristen’s body. Brady: Oh my god. She’s really ... dead? Hope: As a doorknob. Roman: Nail. Brady: I can’t believe she’s really dead. We were supposed to get married yesterday, we had our whole lives to look forward to. [Brady looked toward Hope.] When I told you to find her, I meant alive, not like this. Hope: I know, Brady. I’m so sorry. Brady: Could I have a moment with her? A moment alone? Roman looked at Hope and nodded. Roman: Okay people, everybody outta here. Brady, we’ll be back in five minutes. Don’t leave the country. Brady: Why? Am I a suspect? Hope: Everyone’s presumed guilty right now. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you. After Hope and Roman and the other investigators leave the room, Brady kneels down next to Kristen and the tears start to roll down his cheeks.
Brady: You were one of the great loves of my life. You were supposed to be the one, Kristen. The woman I made it to the altar with, the woman who’d become Mrs. Brady Black. And now look at you. I told you when you asked me to marry you that I was bad news to women, that 75 percent of my fiances wound up dead. Madison, Arianna, and now you. But there’s one big difference. You want to know what it is? [He leaned close to her ear.] They didn’t deserve to die. But you did. You deserved what you got. I hope you rot in hell.

Whoa! Brady's a fairly good actor, as well. Not that I disagree with what he's saying. This is a great story, Kpatch! I love the humor in this one!

You had me worried there Kpatch. I was afraid that Brady was about to go all soft and stuff with Kristen being dead.....talk about a mood swing!

Chapter 3
Hospital Nurse’s Station
Anne: Teresa, bubbala. I didn’t expect to see you back at work so soon after your overdose. Are you sure you’re up to it? Teresa: Yeah, I guess. I just needed to get out of the apartment. I’m going crazy. My mother calls me every hour. It wasn’t bad enough that I had to endure a visit from my parents, but the constant “are you sure you’re okay baby?” is driving me batty. Anne: Well, you’ve come to the right place. We have work to do. Dr. Dan is about to face a disciplinary board and you are the star witness. Teresa: But I told you, I don’t remember what happened the night I overdosed. Anne: So make something up. Just make sure it’s juicy and dirty. I can’t wait to see Jennifer Horton’s face when you detail your wild drug-filled sex romp with her honey. You know, I would actually pay to see it, but lucky me, I won’t have to. I’ll have a front-row seat for free. Teresa: You crack me up, Anne. Oh. Anne: What’s wrong bubbala? Teresa: I don’t know. I feel kind of weird. Kind of lightheaded. Anne: Ooh, that’s good thinking! I’ll get Dr. Daniel. We can put another nail in his coffin. Wait here. [As Anne steps away from the nurse’s desk, Teresa collapses.] Anne: Bubbala, don’t you think you’re overdoing the acting just a little? Teresa? Uh oh. I don’t think she’s acting. Teresa!

Wow. How long ago was the overdose? She could be having complications from the withdrawal. So glad that she is not jumping all over Anne's idea of railroading Dan
