Chapter 25, The Finale


The Nurses Station

Maxine, Hope, Daniel and Kayla are chatting when JJ and Teresa return to the hospital. Anne watches intently from the opposite side of the desk. Hope approaches JJ and Teresa.

Hope: I’ve noticed the two of you having clandestine meetings lately. Tell me the truth. What are you in cahoots about?
JJ: No cahoots, Aunt Hope. There’s nothing for you to tell my mother about.
Hope: Not Aunt. Cuz. I’m Teresa’s aunt ... well, by marriage. And I’m your Cuz once removed.
Teresa: Aunt. Cuz. What’s the diff? Either way, JJ is right, Auntie Hope. There’s nothing clandestine going on. JJ and I are barely even friends.
Just then, Shane and Kimberly came rushing out of an elevator, followed by Jennifer and Lucas.

Kim: Jeannie! Is it true?
Teresa: Mom! Dad! Oh for heaven’s sake, what are you both doing here? And don’t call me Jeannie.
Kim: Jennifer told us you’re pregnant.

While Kim was talking, Shane spotted Daniel at the desk and rushed toward him. He pulled him by the back of his collar and was about to punch him when JJ ran over, grabbed Shane’s fist and stopped Shane from hitting Daniel.

JJ: No, don’t!
Shane: What the hell are you doing, young man? Stay out of this. This is none of your affair.

Teresa squinted at Jennifer.

Teresa: I can’t believe you went and blabbed to my parents, Jennie. And Mom, I can’t believe that you and daddy jumped on a plane and traveled 2,000 miles without knowing the real story.
Kim: What real story? What are you talking about, Jeannie?
Teresa: Jennie here is lying. She’s delusional. She thinks I stole her boyfriend Daniel over there. She thinks we slept together, but we didn’t.
Shane: Are you saying that Dr. Jonas isn’t the father of your baby?
Teresa: No Daddy, he’s not. That’s because there is no baby. I’m not pregnant.
Kayla: Teresa, that’s a lie. I know for a fact that you are, because I ran the test myself.
Teresa: Haven’t you ever heard of a false positive Auntie Kay? Run it again. Right now. I promise you’ll find out that there’s no baby.

Just then, a noise at the other side of the nurse’s desk distracted everyone’s attention.
Lucas: Annie! Oh my god. Quick someone! Call a doctor. Anne fainted.

Maybe Anne is pregnant?! I'm glad Shane and Kim are here to deal with Teresa. I'm glad Teresa admitted she never slept with Daniel. Looking forward to reading the epilogue.

I think Theresa/Jeannie she is pregnant and if she is then my bet is that JJ is the father of her baby and not Daniel and that the false positive will end up being positive, bet any money that Theresa will start to feel symptoms of pregnancy if not now then soon and if Theresa is pregnant with JJ's baby, then imagine Jennifer's reaction finding out that she is going to be a grandmother especially because Theresa is pregnant with her son JJ's baby

Or did she just get an abortion? What else was she doing at Dr. Baker's?

She may have been going to have the abortion, but in the workup for the abortion found out she was not pregnant. It happens. I have also seen people go for abortions only to find out later that they are still pregnant.

Dorkay’s Hospital Room

Molly: Oh my gosh Dick. I’m so glad you’re conscious again. While you were comatose, everything turned into a mess.
Dorkay: What happened? Tell me!
Molly: Well, first of all, Kristen’s body was stolen from the morgue.
Dorkay: She’s dead?
Molly: I think so. John chopped up her body and used it for kindling.
Dorkay: Does anyone know?
Molly: Yeah, Roman knows. But he was okay with it because of what Kristen did to Eric.
Dorkay: Fine fine fine. What else?
Molly: Dick! You don’t understand. The Salem police let Kristen’s killer off the hook. That’s collusion. Or something illegal.
Dorkay: I heard you the first time. What else happened?
Molly: Um. Oh! Teresa was pregnant and Sami changed paternity test results so it looked like Daniel was the father.
Dorkay: Good good good.
Molly: But she ended up getting an abortion.
Dorkay: Who? Sami?
Molly: No not Sami. Try to keep up Dick. So ... Oh! Then Bo didn’t follow up on Nick’s murder. Bo and Hope are getting a divorce and now she’s dating Brady Black.
Dorkay: Bo came back? And Bo and Hope are getting a divorce because Bo didn’t follow up on Nick’s murder??
Molly: No! They’re getting a divorce because Hope got tired of Bo’s absence.
Dorkay: Well, we tried to get him back before but he wasn’t interested. How did you get him to come back?
Molly: I told him you were in a coma and wouldn’t be influencing the story.
Dorkay: What about our star couple, Jennifer and Daniel? They haven’t gotten back together, have they?
Molly: No, of course not.
Dorkay: Good good good. Can’t have them happy. What else?
Molly: Anne fainted! I think she’s pregnant with Lucas’s baby. Unbelievable! … Oh my god! I almost forgot. This is so shocking I think I blocked it out. Don't faint, but for the first time in years, Kpatch went an entire story without even mentioning Philip! ... Oopsie.
Dorkay: Oopsie indeed. Just blew that one. Looks like Kpatch will have to try for that world’s record another time. Anything else?
Molly: Nope, I think that’s quite enough of a disaster for one story.
Dorkay: Molly girl, that’s not a disaster.
Molly: It’s not?
Dorkay: Nope. It’s drama. It’s good soap opera drama.
