Good luck to Casey. I like Chad. I don't think the writers have ever really known what to do with the character. I wonder if the role is being recast. I recall there was a casting call for a role that some suspected was Chad.

I wish Casey all the best. I hate that he's leaving but I can't blame him. They gave him a decent storyline but severely botched it and now he's being used to prop EJ & Sami yet again.

What's going on at DAYS that is causing all of the younger crowd to disappear?? I admit that they havent' done much with them, but how long to the writers really expect EJ & Sami to prop this show. Neither one of them got an Emmy but the one that did is leaving?? Something doesn't add up.

Most of the young people tend to leave after their contract ends. They usually want to go out and see if they can get into movies or prime time. Some return to soaps and some don't.

Hopefully they recast and revamp...the boy needs some edge. Every man in that town is vanilla.

Only Young and the Restless has been successful in retaining their younger actors. I think that is how the show has maintained the highest ratings they manage to keep the same actors playing the same characters for the most part, so fans get to see their favorites for a long time, even if they stop watching for years and come back, those actors/characters are usually still there.

I'm not really surprised that he is leaving. I knew that after Molly left, it would only be a matter of time before Casey left. Days does nothing to keep the youngsters on there. They give them such bad storylines. I wish they would bring back Belle, Shawn, Philip, Stephanie, and Melanie, but I don't see that happening. I don't understand why the show is ALWAYS based around Sami and her men.......

It doesn't necessarily matter about the storyline if they are ready to leave and try something new.

I like Y&R and they always seem to have good storylines for the adults and the young adults. I am sad that Phyllis is leaving Y&R. I wonder what she is going to be doing next?
