This story is making me sad we don't have Bill back & Lucas....You are showing a prime example on how it can make a storyline so fantastic!

Oh what a wonderful scene! You're so right, SG! How great it would be to have Bill and Lucas back on the show.  I loved Lucas' comment about picturing Sunday dinners together! ;D So I wonder if the three of them are going to team up to break up Jennifer and Daniel? |

Just loved the chapter. My favorite part was Bill saying that seducing Kate would be a death wish. So great that Bill knew off the bat that Stefano had something over on her. Thanks Kpatch. Looking forward to tomorrows chapter.

I love this chapter! How could I not - you've got three of my most favorite characters all together for the first time ever ... and dissing one of my least favorites.   Bill: You look terrific. Lucas: Thanks Dad. Good genes. Yes they are! Very, very, very good genes! That is the hottest father/son duo ever!!! I would have a hard decision if I lived in Salem ...  Kate sips her coffee and speaks coyly. OMG, that is the funniest, best possible stage direction for Kate Roberts - that is exactly what she does all the time!!! |

Guess what JKJPatch ... I know you will be utterly shocked but I utterly LOVE this story!!! I'm so excited for the return of the silver fox! ... and the only thing that could make me even happier is the return of his son - LUCAS!!!!!!!! Girlfriend, it's about time you showed up at the party. When I tell you that you need to read a story, you need to read the story. Knew you'd love it.  So happy that everyone is enjoying the story! |

^^ I know, I know ... eventually I get to all the stories, I've just been way behind because of too much RL interference. I've got to get caught up on Andre's stories next and I think Gapeach has one I didn't finish yet either. I'm getting there slowly but surely.

DANIEL’S APARTMENT, THAT NIGHT
Daniel and Jennifer are washing and drying the dinner dishes.
Jennifer: Shouldn’t Melanie be home by now?
Daniel: She’s on the overnight shift tonight.
Jennifer: Really? How convenient.
Daniel: Oh? Why is that?
Jennifer: Oh um no reason. Stupid thing to say.
Daniel stops drying, puts the towel down and turns Jennifer toward him.
Daniel: I know we’ve been dancing around each other for months now, but it’s obvious that we have something here. And it’s not just a rebound thing.
Jennifer: Daniel wait. I need to ask you something.
Daniel: Sure, what is it?
Jennifer: I don’t really know. I just know that my father and my brother Lucas don’t think very highly of you. Do you know why?
Daniel: I have a pretty good idea.
Jennifer: I should probably walk out the door right now and never turn back.
Daniel: But you’re not. Why not?
Jennifer: I’ve always had a little bit of a rebellious streak in me.
Daniel: Is that the only reason?
Jennifer: No. I agree with what you said. There’s something between us. And it’s not just a rebound thing for me either.
They look into each other’s eyes.
Daniel: If that’s true, is there any reason I shouldn’t kiss you right now?
Jennifer: I’m having a hard time thinking of a reason. I’m having a hard time thinking at all.
Daniel: Good. Then let’s stop thinking.
Daniel kisses Jennifer.
Daniel: I’m ready to take this somewhere else. Are you?
Jennifer: I’m more than ready.
They kiss again and then move into the bedroom.
