As heartbreaking as this story is (and it TOTALLY IS!!!) I'm glad Kpatch is smart enough to realize that Parker is old enough to notice the sudden absence of his "Daddy." Granted, he may not remember much (if anything) down the road, but by this age he WOULD notice if someone that was around all the time suddenly disappeared. On the show, they treated him like an infant - oblivious to the world. That always irritated me.

I am happy that Philip at least told Parker that he loves him. I smiled when Philip said do you understand and Parker said no. Just because I don't understand myself. I feel so sorry for Parker.

Oh girl. I did NOT need to start my morning crying bur that chapter just about broke my heart!! I actually cried when I wrote this chapter, and I almost never do that! I am happy that Philip at least told Parker that he loves him. I smiled when Philip said do you understand and Parker said no. Just because I don't understand myself. I feel so sorry for Parker. In my opinion, one of Philip's chief motivations/rationales for giving Parker up is his concern that the child would be confused and/or not accepting of Daniel if Philip stayed in his life. He feels it's what's best for Parker. Philip smiled a small smile as tears rolled down his cheeks. “I would say I’ll call you, but I’m not sure that’s what’s best for you, you know? If I called or tried to see you, it would be for me, not for you. It would only confuse you. Do you understand?” Another rationale will be revealed down the road.

Kpatch. I guess it is just hearing and seeing so much about children having to leave the person they think are their parents and go with someone they don't really know, but is their parent by blood. It is always easier on the child if the person they know is around and they get to know the other one slowly. Maybe I feel the way I do because I know that and Philip does not.

Waaaaahhhhh! So sad but also so much more satisfying than what we got on screen. Phillip is being a very good parent, trying to do what he thinks is best for Parker and not himself.
Ugh! I so want Phillip to get to be a daddy.

Absolutely heartbreaking. Philip is trying to do what he believes is right for Parker. Poor Parker won't understand.

Chapter 11, Part 1
Daniel arrived at the mansion with Chloe and he was greeted by a big hug from his mother.
Philip came downstairs holding Parker in his arms while he watched the family from the doorway of the living room. Daniel turned around and looked at Parker.
Philip kissed Parker’s cheek and set him down. He gave the child a gentle push to encourage him to walk toward the waiting group. “Go to Mommy,” Philip said softly as he crouched down behind Parker.
Parker turned back toward Philip and put his little arms around him. “No, Daddy!”
Philip almost lost his composure then and there. But he picked Parker up in his arms and walked him over to Daniel. Then he handed the boy to his father.
Daniel was beaming. “Hello Parker. Hey there little dude. Do you remember me? You were just a little baby last time I saw you.” Daniel looked up at Philip. “He’s gotten so big.”
Philip nodded and turned away. No one seemed to notice when he left the house.
~End of Flashback~
“That was the last time I saw either Chloe or my ... or Parker.”
George, the grocery manager, blinked several times to clear the tears from his eyes. “You poor guy. No wonder you’re a wreck.”
“Wait. There’s more,” Philip added.
“You mean ... something else happened to you?” George asked.
“Today ... today was the worst day yet.” Philip nodded and took a deep breath. “I got a package this afternoon. Special delivery from Chloe. ... Idiot that I am ... I thought it was going to be a Christmas present. Ha!”
To be continued Monday...

Oh Phillip! Poor baby, I wish someone would have been there to give him a hug.
What could be in that package. Oh if only Kpatch would take pity on us and post another chapter since we are Days deprived this week.

Poor Philip! I'm so glad that George has stuck it out with him. I wonder what was in the package from Chloe. Given Philip's reaction, it couldn't have been good.

I am wondering if it is proof that Dan and Parker are getting along well, that Parker calls him Dad now. That would really hurt. I feel so bad for Philip. It must have broken his heart to tell Parker to go and see Mom and Dan and Parker saying No Daddy, then being the one to put Parker in Dan's arms. This was a very short chapter. We have to wait till Monday to find out what is in the package??? You can tell me Kpatch I promise to to tell anyone.

Poor Philip. I wonder how Parker is doing.
I have a suspicion as to what may be in the package.

I don't think Chloe would send something to taunt Philip with such as some proof of Parker & Daniel bonding, but I also think I know what it is..but I am probably wrong.
