Christian LeBlanc on YR is vertically challenged but his talent makes up for it, but even still his leading ladies are usually petite and because of that he doesn't have that many. And Billy Warlock...he was awesome as AJ on GH, but while in the role he never had a real romantic storyline except for his affair with Carly (Played by Sarah Brown - ex- Madison). Now AJ has been recast back to Sean Kanaan and suddenly AJ has multiple romantic interests...Sean is far taller. Who did Frankie date (Played by Billy Warlock) except very short Jennifer and just as short Eve?

I think there are real preconceived notions in the industry about what constitutes a leading man, and height is part of it. There are a few that break through that barrier, but many don't. I think maybe Bryan's height, and the fact that they made him a Horton (thus diminishing his dating pool and his edge), holds back the character.

I'm not trying to be down on the short guys...my favorite soap actor of all time is like 5'9 (maybe - probably more like 5'8) and he has been pretty much the star of his soap for at least 10 years. And they managed to give him many (many, many, many LOL) love interests - some even his height or slightly taller - but I think he is a rarity and his persona and character helped make that happen.

I am just trying to suss out why Bryan might have peaked on Days - and my theories are his height, and his Horton turn (he's no longer the bad boy, Kate's lackey).

My husband calls him #2 son because every time he used to have a scene with Kate and Philip he would be virtually ignored. Now if someone who couldn't care less about soaps (my hubby) can notice that right off, is it any shock that BD is recurring again?

Too bad neither of these newcomers could have been a part of a story for him.
