The younger person? Not sure. I like the idea of Jeannie Donovan, but she should be 30 years old or so by now, if time had any meaning, that is. Joy has been mentioned regularly of late, so that doesn't work.

Chelsea or Stephanie would be my vote...(or hope) Chelsea especially due to the Nick stuff. However no woman from a core family will help the show's incest problems. New characters need to be created so the family tree can fork.

Not yet, but Greg Vaughan just tweeted a little while ago:  "Not to forget working with the also beautiful @kjalfonso & #days newest addition @jen_lilley .... Hmmm, oh yah... Mr. Ralph Waite! So fun!"

So Jen Lilley is likely playing the role.

On Daytime Royalty, I mentioned that the characters who most fit the "younger female" from a "prominent family" and "not mentioned in years" are Jeannie Donovan (a Brady) and Noelle Curtis (a Chandler).  Jeannie was last mentioned by name when Shawn died and Noelle hasn't been mentioned in decades.

Both are unlikely, I know, but all of the other younger female characters who might fit the clue have been mentioned in the last year or two.  Belle and Chelsea were both mentioned fairly recently during Bo's departure storyline, Stephanie was discussed during Chloe's return, and I believe Kate mentioned Cassie not that long ago.  I seem to recall that some people were shocked that the writers acknowledged Rex and Cassie still existed in Day's continuity.  I suspect, however, that whoever wrote the spoiler may not follow Days as closely, so one or two mentions over the past year or two don't really count.  (Sarah Horton was mentioned when Maggie married Victor, but also doesn't fit because the spoiler seems to indicate that the younger character is from a different family as the older one.  That would make her ruled out by Laura's return.)

Thanks for the info jwsel. Jen Lilley makes me think it could be Belle, mostly because she replaced Kirsten Storms on GH temporarily. I know, convoluted logic.

I think Jen Lilley will be playing Cassie Brady. I think she would make a great Cassie recast. Jen Lilley has dark hair now, so I think that rules out Belle, plus Belle has been mentioned many times and if Belle comes back I think it will be Martha Madison. Also Dee and Drake are very close to MM.

Cassie was mentioned once in Jan by Kate for the first time in 3 1/2 years. So I think that might be a clue.

I don't think its Chelsea because she has beem mentioned many times and if Chels comes back I think it would be RM.

Jen Lilley with dark hair looks so much like the character of Cassie Brady and looks a lot like a younger Lauren Kolsow (Kate).

I was thinking Noelle would be fun to have back. I have been wondering what happened to her after she left the show as a small child. I loved Neil and Liz.

If Chrishell Stause really is joining Days, I could totally see her playing a slightly more grown-up Stephanie. It'd make sense with Kayla being around, and I would LOVE her as a love interest for Lucas.
