Phillip accuses Chloe of being an unfit mother and leaves Salem with Parker this week.
"Phillip basically tells her, 'Say goodbye to your kid, because I"m leaving,'" sighs Nadia Bjorlin.
The devastating moments are set in motion when Melanie and Daniel find Chloe knocking back drinks in the middle of the day. "Daniel tells Chloe that she shouldn't be drinking while she'd on medication," recounts Bjorlin. "She is so down and out that her attitude is, 'Who are you to tell me what to do? You didn't care before, why are you acting like you care about me now? My heart's already broken. I don't need to here giving me advice.'"
Chloe decides that Kate is the root of all her problems. "Kate continues to have this negative influence on Chloe's self-esteem," sighs Bjorlin. "Chloe doesn't feel worthy, so Chloe gets drunk and calls Kate to say she's sick of her crap and she isn't going to take it anymore."
Unfortunately, "Kate records the phone conversation," recounts Bjorlin. "She taunts Chloe, making sure that she says some really bad stuff. Finally, Chloe says, 'Listen lady, if you keep messing with me, I'm going to take my son and run away. You'll never see us ever again.'"
Meanwhile, Phillip is across town, trying to convince the social worker that Chloe is suited for motherhood. Soon after, Kate meets with Phillip and plays the recording of Chloe's ugly tirade. Chloe's threat to steal Parker and disappear stuns Phillip. He confronts Chloe at the Kiriakis mansion. Bjorlin previews, "He plays the recording and he wants to know what prompted Chloe to say the awful things she did. Chloe tries to plead her case. She claims that it was entrapment, Kate did it on purpose. She knew exactly what to say to make Chloe mad. Phillip tells her, 'You have an excuse for everything. I wanted you to be a part of Parker's life, but you're reckless. I don't think you're ready to be a mom.'" Next, Phillip drops a bombshell: He's leaving town with the baby.
Soon after, Phillip allows Chloe to have a final goodbye with Parker. "They are really tumultuous scenes," shares Bjorlin. "It was very emotional and tough for Chloe to say farewell to her son."
Kate is also devastated by Phillip's decision to skip town. "Kate's plan was for Phillip to seek full custody of Parker," explains Bjorlin. "She didn't expect him to leave town with his son."
Kate unleashes her wrath on Chloe and calls her a whore who belongs on the street. She promises Chloe that no man will ever love her. "Chloe can't help but believe some of what Kate says," sighs Bjorlin. "Chloe screwed up. At this point, if Chloe ever wants to see her son again, she's really going to have to work on getting her act together."

Not how I imagined it to play out, but I figured it had to be extreme enough for Phil to need some distance. Dang that Kate.

Yuck. I hate that he is leaving this way. But I guess at least it is an exit story unlike Stephanie.

I have no words. Philip leaving is bad enough. Leaving angry is worse. Being the one to leave Chloe a wreck after all they have been through together is unconscionable. Having Philip leave this way is fan cruelty.

I honestly don't mind this.At least it's an exit story. And he IS right,Chloe behaves recklessly. If Nadia quoted Philip correctly,he's also right that she tends to have an excuse for everything.BUT Kate is definitely wrong in her part of all this.Philip knows what his mother is like, and the lengths she'll go to,but at least in doing this,he's trying to be the best dad he can.Right now Chloe may be hurting herself, but I'm guessing Philip doesn't want to take the chance that she'll inadvertantly hurt Parker (leaving him home with an oven that's on,leaving him on the pier when she jumped). In both cases,Parker could have seriously been hurt, even died.Chloe had the sense when she jumped not to take Parker with her,but desperate enough, people are capable of anything (Susan Smith,Andrea Yates). So I say, good for Philip in doing what he thinks is best for now.

Ouch. That's all I can say about this. Positively, it is an exit story and it does have Philip being the responsible one and not "abandoning" yet another child (not that I think he did that with Pocket/Tyler, but so many other Salemites seem to think so!). Negatively, it leaves Chloe in upheaval, leaves issues between her and Philip, leaves us without seeing the cuties who are playing Parker, and it leaves an opening for the writers to have Chloe "forget" about Parker or have her storylines focused so much there is never another mention of her own kid again. And you knew that Kate just couldn't let things rest; she has to meddle (and I threw in that semicolon just for you kpatch! LOL!).

Actually, this was Chloe's miracle baby. If she decides to get with another man who wants children, this could be problematic if she can't have kids again, and also to doubt herself as a mom again. Chloe had reservations about her mothering skills before Parker was born.
I think that Chloe is going to need to do some big time soul searching, and I hope she finds her groove again, and is able to stomp back at Kate. It's high time Kate gets some karma for everything she's put Chloe through.

I have this feeling that this whole thing is going to end up being played out a whole lot differently than how it is described in this article. One thing I have noticed a lot lately when I read these spoiler articles is that the articles are totally different from what actually shows up on the screen. It seems like after the articles come out that a lot of last minute edits have been made to the episodes especially with the Philip stuff. A lot of Jay's scenes have been cut or shortened lately to make more room to give us extra EJ/Taylor scenes. I have a feeling that we won't be getting a lot of Jay's scenes next week that were taped and his exit stuff is going to end up falling flat and not making a lot of sense because some of his key scenes will be cut. I really hope I am wrong about this and this plays out better than it is described in the article because I am not liking the idea that Philip would up and leave with Parker because of his mom's manipulations.

Thanks for staying on top of this, karebr. I am going to hold out hope that the exit story plays out better than reported. If Philip has to leave, I want it to be on good terms with Chloe. I want him to say he is leaving with Parker for a while but will be back, or that she can come visit him and Parker any time.

I really am starting to lose any patience I have left with this show. I can't believe with Philip leaving next week that the nbc promo features EJ and Taylor instead of Philip. I am starting to get this feeling that there is not going to be too much to Philip's exit with Chloe like the SOD and SOW articles said there would be. I was over on the nbc days of our lives website and for the spoiler pictures for next week there is not even one that mentions Philip leaving. You would think that his exit on Wednesday would be a DVR alert. We are probably going to be lucky if we get maybe 4 or 5 Philip scenes between Tuesday and Wednesday's show and they will probably be really short and not have much to them. It is bad enough most of Philip's scenes got cut from today's show and now it is beginning to look like most of his scenes are going to end up being cut from Tuesday and Wednesday's shows so that the whole EJ/Taylor car accident stuff can take precedent over the Philip/Chloe/Parker stuff. This show is really bad right now and no wonder why the ratings are so crappy. TPTB put out these spoiler articles in the soap magazines and then when it comes time for these scenes to take place they either get cut, edited or end up being played out differently than the articles say. I am not counting at all on an emotional goodbye scene between Chloe, Parker and Philip and even if we do get one I am sure Philip will not be in the scene and it will only feature Chloe and Parker because for some reason the show wants us to forget already that Jay is still on the show. Okay I am done with my rant.
jkjpatch, I really hope that the show allows Philip to leave Chloe with an understanding that what he is doing is what is best for Parker's sake and that he is not abandoning Chloe in her time of need because of his mom's manipulations. Even if Chloe doesn't realize it right now I would like to see her be able to realize in the future that Philip was only trying to do right by Parker by leaving town and not allowing him to be part of a war between Kate and Chloe.

Philip has been removed from storylines that he should be involved in...the Titan takeover, Kate having a new step son (man that could have produced some great dialog) I guess I should be grateful that Philip is finally being portrayed as the devoted father many of us knew he was. I think that is a nod to the fans that have been so angry for these last month as everyone reamed him over Pocket. It's a shallow victory. I enjoyed Philip and Chloe at the Brady Pub more than I might have; it was bittersweet, knowing they were going to be parted, so I savored every nod of the head and smile. (God, those dimples!) The thing that touched me most was Philip's commitment to Chloe and her well being. He truly cares for her and not just because of Parker. Philip is not the kind of guy who walks away from a difficult situation; if anything, he digs deeper, so him leaving with Parker would have to be for CHLOE'S own good too. I could accept him taking Parker because the CPS people were notified (Kate, of course) and he left so as not to risk Chloe losing Parker forever. I just do not see him giving up on Chloe after how he's been portrayed as loving and supportive during the whole storyline. The other players involved in the ONS are getting plenty of airtime. Melanie gets to be involved in all the major storylines and gets one, maybe two new of her own. Carly is well into her own storyline, Daniel has Jennifer and gets scenes with Maxine. Vivi's got her nose up Stefano's butt. But Chloe? She is being given the royal shaft. Why isn't she calling Nicole? Her mom just died. Instead she's drinking at the Pub? Why? She is back in Parker's life, lives with him, in fact. I get the PPD, but why are they dragging this out? Are we supposed to hate think badly of Chloe forever? Not sure at all what is happening her, but I don't like it much.
