Victor: Where’s the PR person who’s taking us on the tour of the new wing?
John: You mean Jennifer?
Victor: Whoever it is, she’s late! Time is money and I’m a busy man.
John: What’s eating you, Victor?
Victor: Ahhh. Kids! I advise against having them.
John: Too late. But I know what you mean. It’s hard to see them in pain and that’s a fact.
Victor: It’s hard to see them period. Especially when they do nothing but make asses of themselves and cause you grave embarrassment.
John: I take it you’re talking about Philip.
Victor: Philip. Brady. Shawn. They’re all making a mess of their lives.
John: Brady?
Victor: The only one not giving me ulcers is Bo.
Craig entered the boardroom.
Craig: Sorry to keep you waiting, gentlemen.
John: Where’s Jennifer?
Craig: She had a public relations emergency.
Victor: What the hell could cause a public relations emergency?
Craig: Maybe a brawl between the heirs of one of our board members. ... Shall we, gentlemen?
John: I’m eager to see how the hospital is going to use the funds from the Isabella Toscano Black foundation to build the new pediatric wing.
Craig: Then follow me.


SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL 3rd FLOOR NURSE’S STATION AND WAITING ROOM

Belle, Chloe and Philip arrived at the hospital to find Brady arguing with a nurse. He was still somewhat high and alternated between being rational and irrational.

Brady: You have to let me in there. You don’t understand. It’s vital that I get in there. She needs me!
Maxine: Look, Brady, Miss Walker has been taken into surgery. You can’t be in there during surgery.
Brady: You bitch.
Maxine: I will not tolerate name-calling. Do you understand me? ... Belle, thank goodness you’re here. Someone needs to take care of your brother.
Belle: Sorry about that, Maxine. Hey Brady, listen to me. You have to calm down.
Philip and Chloe hovered near the coffee station watching Brady. Philip whispered.
Philip: I can’t believe he’s not in custody.
Chloe: This is breaking my heart.
Chloe had her arms around Philip and she could feel a gun in his pocket. She looked up at him with surprise, suddenly frightened again. Brady caught sight of Philip and Chloe, and he pointed at Philip and shouted, causing Chloe to jump. Philip instinctively tightened his hold on Chloe.
Brady: You! You should be the one who’s in there fighting for your life. Not Nicole! And get your hands off my wife!
Belle: Brady, shhh, please don’t say anything else.

Roman and Bo entered the scene.
Roman: Okay, listen up people. Who wants to tell me what da hell happened at da cabin?

Love my Roman. I could just see him as he said that. Hope Nicole will be ok. Shocked that the police are not there as it was a shooting and the hospital would have to call the police. Nicole would need a guard and there would need to be an investigation. Oh LOL Bo and Roman are there. I just don't think of them as police. I agree with Philip Brady should be in custody. I am worried that Philip has the gun with him. And in a hospital. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch.

Philip needs to give the gun to Roman and Bo ASAP. Bad Brady calling Maxine names. I can't wait to see what happens next. I loved Victor saying that Bo is the only one not giving him an ulcer.

Roman: Okay, listen up people. Who wants to tell me what da hell happened at da cabin?

Belle, Brady, Chloe, and Philip looked away from Roman, avoiding his glare.

Bo: Belle, why don’t you tell me what happened?
Belle: I really don’t know. I had just gotten there when ... um.
Roman: How about you, Chloe? Wanna tell us what went down?
Chloe: I don’t really know either. I mean, it all happened so fast.
Philip’s brow knitted as he looked at Chloe, surprised that she was covering for Brady.
Roman: I got plenty of time, people. In fact, I’ve got all night. Why don’t you start at the beginning.
Chloe: I’m sorry, Captain Brady. My mind is kind of a blur.
Philip: Maybe you should lie down, sweetie.
Bo: Sorry guys, no one is going anywhere until we get to the bottom of this.
Roman: Say, Bo. Want to hear something interesting?
Bo: That would be a nice change of pace.
Roman: My men tell me that Nicole got shot, but they didn’t find a gun at the scene. That means the shooter took it with them.
Bo: Any idea who the shooter is?
Roman: My money is on one of the folks in this very room. Any of you innocents know who has it? Philip?
Philip: Sorry, I don’t know.
Roman: Really? If I patted you down, would I find it?
Bo: Hey Brady. I didn’t know you and Chloe were back in Salem. But why is she standing over there with Philip instead of with you?
Roman: Good question little brother. Why don't you tell us what happened, Brady?
Brady: It was him. It was Philip. He pulled a gun on me.
Bo: Is that true, Philip?
Philip didn’t answer.
Brady: He tried to shoot me.
Bo: Hmmm. Why would Philip want to shoot you?
Brady: He wants me out of the way so he can steal my wife from me. Look at them. He took her out of Vienna and he’s been keeping her as his sex slave at that cabin off Route 17.
Roman: Sex slave? ... Interesting. ... Philip, I think you need to come to the station with us.
Chloe: No!
Philip: Am I being arrested?
Bo: Not yet. We just want to question you.
Philip: I’m not leaving Chloe here alone.
Roman: She can come along if she wants to.
Brady: She’s not alone! She has me. Her husband!
Philip: Stay away from her, Brady. I’m warning you.
Bo: Philip, be careful what you say. This wouldn’t be a good time to threaten anyone.

Craig, John and Victor stepped off the elevator.
Craig: So I think you can feel good about the hospital’s plans for the Isabella Toscano Black pediatric wing.
John: I do believe she’d be very proud of what we’re planning.
Victor: What’s going on over there?
The three men looked in the direction of the group at the other side of the nurse’s station.

Brady: She’s my wife and it’s time you get that through your thick skull!
Philip: She ran away from you, Brady.
Brady: Not true. You took her away from me. She would never leave me on her own. Tell them, Chloe. Tell them you’d never leave me.
Chloe: Brady ... There was a time I would never have left you in a million years. But I’ve been enabling your drug abuse and doing both of us more harm than good.
Brady: How could it be doing more harm than good? I wouldn’t harm you, Chloe. I love you.
Chloe: Oh Brady. You don’t even realize what you’re doing when you’re high. You almost killed me today. With that garden rake.
Brady: That’s a lie. I was just trying to scare you. I would never have used it. You know I would never hurt you.
Chloe: Yes, you would, and you did! You tried to rape me that last night in Vienna. That was the last straw. That was why I left you.
Brady: Well you deserved it, you little slut!

Wow. Sadly, that sounds like something that would come from the actual writers.

Wow. Looks like Brady showed his hand at what he is like when high on drugs. Loved the lines about how he would never hurt her followed by she deserved it. So like real cases I have seen. Great story.

Philip will really be after Brady now that he knows what happened in Vienna. Roman seemed intrigued by the mention of a sex slave. I'm glad Victor, John and Craig are there to hear what's really been going on. I can hardly wait to see what happens tomorrow.
