Poor Wes' head has to be swimming. At least he doesn't react like most kids when it comes to their parents and sex. Lol.

I have to admit, I threw up a little in my mouth when I got the image of MY Dad in a sex tape. Oh, there it goes again. Really didn't need that. Thanks, kpatch. I'm sending you my therapy bills.

I'm glad Wesley was willing to listen to Philip. I hope he feels better after he reads more of their memories. It's a lot to absorb for a teenager.

I was wondering if finding out about them both cheating on others with each other would make Wes even more upset. Sounds like he is a great kid. So anxious for more.

POOL DECK
Back on the deck, the Kiriakis family was reading excerpts of the memory books.
Wesley: You know what I always wanted to know, but I’m not seeing it here? Philip: What’s that? Wesley: The two of you always say that sickeningly cute little thing ... um ... love you ... no you don’t ... not as much as I love you ... Faith: No, that’s not how it goes. Chloe looks at Philip and Philip shakes his head and smiles. Chloe: I love you. Philip: I love you more. Chloe: I seriously doubt that. Wesley: Yeah, that’s it! What is that anyway? How did you come up with that? Chloe: Well ... Philip: It took your mother a long time before she told me she loved me. Chloe: Your father hounded me. Philip: Did not. Chloe: Did too. Well, a little. See, kids, when I was young, I was really guarded. It was hard for me to express my feelings. Faith: Because you grew up in an orphanage and foster homes? Chloe: Yes. Your dad, on the other hand, always wore his heart on his sleeve. I never had to wonder how he felt about me. Philip: Life’s short. Why hold back? ... So when your mom finally did tell me how she felt ... Wesley: Was that before or after I was born? Philip: Um ....
***Philip’s Flashback*** Philip and Chloe are cuddling in bed in Chloe’s apartment after making love, when Philip gets a text message on his cell. Philip: The investigator has some information for me. He thinks he knows the identity of the person who switched the paternity test results. Philip gets out of bed and gets dressed. Chloe: I’m really hoping it was an honest mistake. Philip: I seriously doubt that. Chloe: Call me as soon as you find out anything. Philip: I will. Chloe: I love you. Philip smiles and leans over Chloe. Philip: Say that again. Chloe: Say what again? I love you? Philip: I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of hearing you say that. Chloe: Good. Because you’re going to hear it a lot. I love you. Philip: I love you more. Chloe: I seriously doubt that.
***End of Flashback***
Wesley: Was that before or after I was born? Philip: Um ... after. Wesley: Mom, are you saying you didn’t love Dad when the two of you ...? Chloe: No no, I did. I loved him. I always loved your father. I just hadn’t told him before. Philip: Right. So when she finally told me she loved me, I made her repeat it to me. Chloe: Again and again. Philip: So we came up with that saying. She was trying to reassure me, I think. Chloe: That’s right. I wanted you to know that I loved you as much as you loved me, if not more. Philip looks at his wife and glides his fingers back and forth over her hand. Philip: Not possible. Faith: I sure hope you’re taking notes, Wes. Dad has the best lines. Philip: They’re not lines. Faith: I don’t know about that. Mom told me you were a real ladies man back in the day. Philip: Were??? I like to think I still am. Wesley: Bull. Dad’s no ladies man. He’s ... he’s Dad. Faith: Well I have at least 5 friends who keep telling me that my dad is hot. Their moms think he’s hot too. And my friend Trina -- her dad is gay and he wants to know if my dad is bisexual. Chloe burst out laughing. Philip looked upward and shook his head. Philip: Lord, give me strength.

LOL that even a friend's dad thinks Philip is hot. I'm glad they are being honest with Wesley and Faith. This was a fun chapter Kpatch. I enjoy the four of them talking together and teasing each other.

POOL DECK
On the deck, the Kiriakis family continued reading excerpts from the memory books.
Faith: Wow, this barn stuff is hot. Philip: It really was. Chloe: Okay, time’s up. Give me back the book. Faith: Not yet, pleeease. Chloe: Sometimes you really try my patience, Faith. Faith: Is there anything in here about the night I was born in the opera house? I love that story! Philip: No, we wrote these memories down before you were born. Faith: You should definitely add it. Chloe: Maybe we will. Wesley: You know, I remembered that you guys told me you dated in high school, but I forgot that you were once married to other people. It’s hard to imagine. It just seems like you’ve been together forever. Faith: That’s ‘cause you’re a guy, and guys don’t know sh*t about true romance. As for me, I remember the whole story. Philip: You’re right, princess. Guys are pretty clueless about romance ... [He smiled at Chloe and took her hand.] ... until they fall in love. Chloe: Philip. You have always been the most romantic boy I’ve ever known. Philip: Well I should hope so. Wesley: I’m starting to think that maybe you’re right, Dad. Philip: Hold on. I need to record this for posterity. Can you say that again? Wesley: Okay, okay, I said you’re right Dad. Faith: What’s he right about? Wesley: Well, I was telling him some stuff about me and Emmy, and he told me that if it’s really love, it’ll last. Even if things take longer than I think they should, he said to be patient because it’ll be worth waiting for. Chloe: Philip, you said that? Philip: Yup. Chloe: You really are the most romantic man in the world. Philip: That’s only because you bring it out in me. Faith: Okay, now this is getting a little sickening, even for me. I need to go call my friend. See you. Wesley: Me too. I need to call Emma. Thanks for explaining everything to me. I feel much better about being the product of a one-night stand knowing that you always had feelings for each other. Chloe: We were happy to share our memories with you, honey. Philip: Right. We’ll be happy to share more. We’ve got a million of them. Wesley rolled his eyes. Wesley: I can hardly wait. Good night mom. He kissed his mother’s cheek and she reached up and held his face. Chloe: Good night angel. Wesley: Dad. Wesley butted fists with his father before going inside the house. Philip brought Chloe’s hand to his lips and kissed it. Philip: You okay? Chloe: Yeah. But I’m kind of glad that’s over with. I was always worried about what Wesley would think if he found out the circumstances of his conception and the fact that we were in other relationships at the time. Philip licked his lips. Philip: Care to re-enact that night? Chloe smiled, her eyes sparkling in the moonlight. Chloe: I like the way you think ... among other things.
That was the first time Philip and Chloe shared their memory books with their children. But it wasn’t the last time. Every year on their wedding anniversary, the Kiriakises would gather on the deck by the swimming pool and recount their love story.
