Okay - just go caught up. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Girl, nobody and I do mean NOBODY writes Phillip like you do!!! LOVE That he made it back for the opening. Guess Oprah couldn't make it after all.

Also, glad that Daniel is there. He will be able to deliver Phloe!!

I'm so glad that Philip made it back in time for Phloe's birth. I think Chloe's nightmares were actually a premonition. She kept dreaming of Philip on the stage and there was blood and the floor was wet. It is actually happening only it's because she's giving birth there.

So, question for readers. There are a number of medical personnel in attendance at the opera. They were mentioned in an earlier chapter. Who do you think will deliver Chloe's baby?

Ohhh the water and the blood. Chloe's dream coming true. Just loved this chapter. It is super that Chloe is going to give birth in the oprea that she and Philip made. I think it will be Mel just like she helped with Parker's birth. I am there as well I could do it.

SALEM OPERA HOUSE, ONSTAGE

When he arrived onstage, Philip saw Chloe lying on the floor. The floor around her was wet. She held her hand out to Philip. He grasped it and kneeled beside her.
Chloe: My water broke. The baby’s coming.
Philip: Oh god. We need to call Dr. Bader.
Chloe: There’s no time. It’s coming now.
Philip: Don’t go anywhere.
Chloe: Um. I wasn’t planning on it.
Philip got up and went back in front of the curtain and called out.
Philip: Is there a doctor in the house? We need a doctor!
Daniel and Melanie were about to exit the theater, when Philip’s call for help stopped them. They made their way back down the aisle to the front of the theater.
Daniel: Yes. We’re here. What do you need?
Melanie: Is someone sick?
Philip hesitated for a split second before swallowing his pride.
Philip: It’s Chloe. The baby is coming.
Melanie: Dad, you’re on your own. I'm outta here.
Philip: Melanie, please. I need you. Please don’t leave. Please.
Melanie: Oh hell. Fine. Where is she?

Back behind the curtain, Daniel kneeled beside Chloe and held her wrist to check her pulse.
Daniel: Melanie, note the time between contractions.
Melanie: Check.
Chloe’s eyes widened and she looked up at Philip, beseechingly.
Chloe: Is ... isn’t Lexie here?
Philip: I don’t know.
Chloe: She was here.
Philip: I’ll go find her.
Daniel: What’s the matter? Won’t I do?
Chloe: No offense Daniel. But ... ahhhh. Oh god.
Melanie: Time is 10:06:23.
Chloe: It’s just too weird.
Daniel: Shhh. Don’t talk.
Philip: I found Lexie.
Lexie: I’m here. What can I do?
Daniel: We need to prep her.
Chloe started to cry.
Chloe: I want Dr. Bader.
Philip went around to the other side and held Chloe’s hand as he stroked her damp forehead.
Philip: It’s okay, sweetie. I just called her and left a message.
Chloe: Philip ...
He squeezed her hand tighter.
Philip: I’m right here.
Chloe: I love you.
Philip: Oh baby. I love you more.
Chloe: I seriously ... Ahhhh. Damn.
Melanie: 10:07:51.
Daniel: Philip, find some clean towels. And we need hot water.
Chloe: No, don’t leave me Philip. Please.
Stage Manager: I’ll take care of it.
Lexie: And while you’re at it, can we clear the stage of onlookers?
Stage Manager: Everyone out of here. Let’s give Ms. Lane some privacy. This ain’t no peep show.
Chloe: Philip?
Philip: I’m right here sweetie. I’m not going anywhere.
Chloe: The baby waited, Philip ... waited for you to come home.
Philip chuckled and nodded.
Philip: We’re never gonna forget tonight. You know?
Chloe: I know.
Dr. Bader arrived.
Dr. Bader: I’m here. I’ll take over from here.
Daniel and Lexie gave Dr. Bader the floor.
Melanie: Contractions are less than 2 minutes apart.
Chloe: Dr. Bader. Thank god!
Dr. Bader: Everything’s fine, Chloe. Keep breathing. Hello, Philip. Welcome back.
Philip: Thanks Karen. I’m really glad to see you.
Dr. Bader: You’re looking a little green, Philip. I suggest you breathe too. How you doing, Chloe?
Chloe: Okay, I think. Ahhhh.
Dr. Bader: You’re doing fine. Sorry I missed your performance.
Philip: You didn’t miss it. You’re just in time to see it.
Dr. Bader: Looks like Wesley's about to become a big brother. Chloe, I’m going need you to push on the count of 3. Okay?
Chloe: Okay. ... Philip?
Philip: I’m here baby, still holding your hand. We’re in this together.
Dr. Bader: One. Two. Three. Push!

Loved Chloe's reaction to Daniel being there to deliver the baby. What a relief that Dr Bader arrived in time. I'm so glad that Philip is there for the birth. I can hardly wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl.
