“No at the hospital.”

Sami:
“Why was Kate at the hospital? Please tell me she’s dying.”

Philip and Chloe walk into The Pub. They walk over to a table and Phillip pulls a chair out for Chloe. Chloe sits down.

Chloe:
“Why thank you.”

Phillip sits across from her.

Phillip:
“You’re welcome.”

Chloe:
“Such a gentleman.”

Phillip:
“I aim to please.”

Phillip picks up a menu.

Chloe:
“As many times as we’ve been here, you still look at the menu.”

Phillip smiles.

REX AND MIMI’S APARTMENT

Rex brings some bags and places them on the floor in the living room while Mimi is sealing one last box.

Rex:
“That’s the last of the bags in the room.”

Mimi turns around to face Rex.

Mimi:
“And that’s the last box that needed tape.”

Rex:
“This is real. We’re really moving back to Salem.”

Mimi:
“I can’t believe it. After all this time and after everything that has happened.”

Rex:
“Yeah I know. We have a lot of explaining to do.”

“Yeah. Are we sure we’re ready?”

STEPHANIE’S APARTMENT

Stephanie stands stunned over Eddie’s body. She flashes back to what happened.

Stephanie:
“Oh my gosh. I killed him.”

She backs away slowly then rushes out the door. Someone is lurking in the shadows.

LUCAS’ HOUSE

Lucas:
“No she’s fine. Now what happened with Will?”

Sami:
“He is still seeing that little, ugh, Mia McCormick.”

Lucas:
“Yeah I know. My mom told me.”

Sami:
“And you two are ok with this?”

Lucas:
“No actually we aren’t. My mom said we need to do something or else she will.”

Sami:
“Actually that’s perfect. Sick Kate on her. Kate will send her running for the hills.”

Lucas shakes his head in disbelief.

THE PUB

Phillip:
“Yeah that is very true.”

Chloe:
“I think I’m in the mood for a burger and fries.”

Phillip:
“I think I’ll have the same.”

Phillip and Chloe smile at one another.

Phillip:
“I’ll put the order in.”

Phillip stands up.

Phillip:
“Coke?”

Chloe:
“Yes please.”

Phillip gives her the thumbs up and walks over the counter to place the order. Chloe smiles as she watches him walk away. Her phone rings, interrupting her. She pulls her phone out of her purse. It’s Nicole.

Chloe:
“Nicole? Hey. I’m having dinner with Phillip right now. Yeah sure we can have lunch tomorrow. Great. Bye”

Phillip walks back over with 2 cokes. He places one in front of her.

Chloe:
“Thank you.”

Phillip sits down and places the other in front of him.

Phillip:
“You’re welcome.”

Chloe takes a sip.

Phillip:
“You know that my offer still stands.”

Chloe:
“What offer?”

Phillip:
“To sing at the benefit.”

Chloe smiles.

REX & MIMI’S APARTMENT

Rex:
“Yes, I am ready. I want to be around family.”

Mimi:
“I know what you mean. I want to be closer to my mom. I’m so worried the DiMera’s are gonna go after her.”

Rex:
“That’s not going to happen. I’m going to talk to Stefano when get home.”

Mimi:
“Are you sure that’ll work?”

Rex:
“Yes it will. He is married to my mother after all.”

Mimi:
“Your mom isn’t going to be happy that we’re getting married.”

Rex:
“She’ll just have to deal with it.”

Rex pulls Mimi in for a kiss. They’re interrupted by their son.

“Mommy, Daddy!”

He rushes in. Rex and Mimi turn to him.

LUCAS’ HOUSE

Sami picks some toys off the floor and places them on the table.

Lucas:
“You must really hate this girl if you’re willing to sick my mother on her.”

Sami:
“You have a better idea?”

Lucas:
“Not yet, but I’m thinking about it.”

Sami:
“Good. You know that little bitch had the nerve to show up here. Like I’m so pissed with Will right now.”

Lucas:
“What did you do?”

Sami:
“I grounded him until he breaks up with her.”

Lucas:
“What, is he in his room? I’m going to talk to him right now.”

Lucas starts to walk away, but Sami stops him.

Sami:
“No he’s not there.”

Lucas turns back around.

Lucas:
“Okay then where is he now?”

Sami:
“I don’t know.”

Lucas:
“I think you need to look up the definition of grounded.”

Sami:
“It’s not like I just let him go. He walked out and slammed the door.”

Lucas pulls out his phone and calls Will.

Sami:
“You can call Will all you want, but he’s not going to answer.”

Lucas:
“Oh, he’ll answer for him.”

The call goes to voicemail.

Lucas:
“Hey Will, it’s your dad. Give me a call when you get this.”

Lucas hangs up.

Sami:
“I thought he was going to pick up for you?”

Lucas:
“Well he didn’t.”

Sami puts her hands on her hips.

THE PUB

Chloe:
“Oh yeah. No I don’t want to.”

Phillip:
“Why not?”

Chloe:
“I feel like everyone is going to be judging me.”

Phillip:
“So what? It’s for a good cause.”

Chloe:
“Well…”

Phillip:
“And it’s a good way to make some extra money.”

Chloe:
“I could use some extra money.”

Phillip:
“Great then it’s settled. You’re singing at the benefit.”

Chloe:
“Yes, I’m going to sing at the benefit.”

Phillip picks up his glass.

Phillip:
“Cheers.”

Chloe raises her glass.

Chloe:
“Cheers.”

They cling glasses as Belle walks in. She sees and smiles. Phillip notices her.

REX & MIMI’S APARTMENT

Tyler:
“Where are we going?”

Mimi kneels down to his level.

Mimi:
“We’re going a town called Salem.”

Tyler:
“Cool. So how long are we going to stay there?”

Mimi:
“We’re going to be living there.”

Tyler:
“Why?”

Rex:
“Because our family lives there.”

Tyler:
“Family?”

“Yeah Grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles.”

Tyler:
“Sounds cool.”

Tyler rushes back to his room. Mimi stands up.

Rex:
“Yeah it should be fun. Explaining to everyone how we got Tyler.”

Evan’s is patrolling the park when Stephanie rushes up to him screaming.

Stephanie:
“HELP!”

Evan turns around.

Evan:
“What’s wrong miss?”

Stephanie:
“I think I killed him.”

Evan:
“Who?”

Stephanie:
“Eddie Saunders.”

Evan’s stunned.

Evan:
“Calm down miss. Where is the body?”

Stephanie:
“At my apartment.”

Evan:
“Do you live in that building right there?”

Stephanie turns around as Evan points to the building. Then looks back at him.

Stephanie:
“Yes.”

Evan:
“What’s your apartment number?”

Stephanie:
“114”

Evan gets on radio and calls for help.

Evan:
“I need a bus to Salem Towers. Apartment number 147.”

Stephanie hugs Evan.

Evan:
“It’s okay.”

He hugs her back slightly.

Evan:
“And some back up. We have a possible dead body.”

SALEM PD

Bo walked into the Salem PD. Natasha walks up to him.

Natasha:
“Commissioner Brady.”

Bo:
“Yes DA Crane.”

Natasha:
“Nice work on the Colin Murphy case. It’s almost a closed case.”

Bo:
“Almost?”

Natasha:
“I suspect foul play in his death.”

Bo:
“Oh yeah that was determined he died from complications during his surgery.”

Natasha searches through the file in her hand.

Natasha:
“Where does it say that?”

Bo:
“Last page.”

Natasha flips to the last page.

Natasha:
“And there it is.”

She looks at Bo and smiles. He smiles back.

Natasha:
“Well I’ll be following up with Dr. Walters.”

Bo:
“You do that.”

Shawn rushes in.

Shawn:
“Dad”

Bo turns around.

Shawn:
“There’s something going on at Stephanie’s apartment.”

Bo:
“Like what?”

Shawn:
“A dead body is reported to be there.”

Bo:
“Oh my gosh.”

Bo turns to Natasha.

Bo:
“We have to finish this later.”

Natasha:
“Yeah go.”

Bo and Shawn take off.

LUCAS’ HOUSE

Sami:
“Will is out of control. You need to do something about him. I can’t. He won’t listen to me and I have enough to deal with between the kids and EJ lurking. Not to mention Rafe is working a lot of hours and…”

Sami pauses.

Lucas:
“Baker’s confession?”

Sami:
“Yeah, it’s a lot to deal with.”

Lucas:
“I’m gonna to find Will and talk to him. Figure out a way to deal with this Mia situation.”

Sami hugs Lucas.

Sami:
“Thank you Lucas.”

Lucas hugs her back.

Lucas:
“You’re welcome.”

THE PUB

Phillip:
“Belle, hey.”

Belle walks over.

Chloe:
“Hey Belle”

Belle:
“Hey guys.”

Phillip:
“Your shifts over already?”

Belle:
“Oh no I have a couple more hours left. I just came to grab some coffee. The hospital coffee is pretty bad.”

Phillip:
“That’s the truth. How about I get you one. My treat.”

Belle:
“Thank you Phillip, I’ll take you up on that offer.”

Phillip:
“I’ll be right back.”

Phillip gets up to get Belle’s coffee. Belle sits in his seat.

Belle:
“So what are you and Phillip celebrating?”

Chloe:
“Nothing.”

Belle:
“What was the toast or whatever for?”

Chloe:
“I’m going to sing at the hospital benefit.”

Belle:
“Yeah. You finally agreed.”

Chloe:
“Yeah you know Phillip. So persistent when he really wants something.”

Belle:
“I think this is a good thing. So what are you going to sing?”

Chloe laughs.

Chloe:
“I just accepted the offer. I haven’t thought of anything yet.”

Belle:
“Well if you need any suggestions, call me.”

Chloe:
“I will.”

Phillip walks back over.

Phillip:
“Here’s your coffee.”

He hands the coffee to Belle.

Belle:
“Thanks.”

Chloe:
“I’ll be right back. I need to use the bathroom.”

Chloe stands up.

Belle:
“The joys of being pregnant.”

Chloe laughs and walks to the bathroom.

Belle:
“That’s great that you got Chloe to sing at the benefit.”

Phillip:
“Me too. It would have been hard to explain to Fredrick Miller that the singer he’s crazy about wasn’t going to perform as promised.”

REX & MIMI’S APARTMENT

Rex:
“And isn’t he’s having a kid with Chloe?”

Mimi:
“Yes. Yes he is. Let the drama begin.”

Rex:
“Yeah it’s going to be interesting.”

Evan:
“Do you want to sit down?”

Stephanie:

Bo and Shawn rush up to Evan and Stephanie.

Stephanie walks up to him.

“What happened?”

“Eddie..he tried to…”

“Try to what?”

Stephanie:
“I hit him over the head with my lamp. I think he’s dead.”

Bo’s shocked.

Bo:
“Um..Shawn, Evan. You guys go check it out. I’m going to take Stephanie to the station.”

Shawn:
“Okay.”

Shawn walks away. Evan starts to, but stops to look back at Stephanie who hugs Bo. Then he continues following Shawn.

LUCAS’ HOUSE

They stop hugging.

Sami:
“So why was Kate at the hospital anyways?”

Lucas:
“She was there with Stefano and Chad getting a DNA test done.”

Sami:
“Why?”

Lucas:
“Because Chad is EJ’s son”

Sami:
“What? How? When? What the?”

Lucas:
“That’s something I do need to fill you in on.”

Sami:
“Okay?”

Lucas:
“Will and Mia went snooping in Colin’s apartment and found Chad’s birth certificate naming EJ DiMera as his biological father.”

Sami:
“Why the hell were they there?”

Lucas:
“I will find that out.”

Sami:
“Colin is the one that shot me. My dad came over earlier and told me.”

Lucas:
“Why would Colin want to kill you?”

Sami:
“He didn’t. He was aiming for Nicole.”

Lucas:
“Well he should definitely keep his day job.”

Sami smirks.

Sami:
“Yeah. So with Chad being EJ’s son. Maybe EJ will be too wrapped up in that to harass me.”

Lucas:
“I wouldn’t bet on it.”

THE PUB

Phillip takes a sip of his drink.

Belle:
“Who?”

Phillip:
“A very talented music producer.”

Belle:
“Oh.”

Phillip:
“He wants to work with Chloe. I promised he would sing at the benefit. It was the only way to agree for him to come. They’re going to donate a lot of money to the hospital.”

Belle:
“Well that is all good and all but don’t you think you should tell Chloe about this?”

Phillip:
“No way. Then she’ll be all nervous. She loves Fredrick Miller’s work. I’ll tell her after she sings.”

Chloe walks back over.

Belle:
“Well I better get back to the hospital. See you guys later.”

Phillip & Chloe:
“Bye.”

Chloe:
“What were you two talking about?”

Phillip smiles showing off his dimples.

Phillip:
“Oh nothing.”

REX & MIMI’S APARTMENT

Rex:
“Us working at the hospital with Belle and Philip’s ex. Yeah I think you’re right.”

Tyler rushes back in with his box of action figures.

Tyler:
“I’m ready.”

Mimi:
“Alright, let’s go.”

Rex:
“Goodbye New York City.”

Mimi:
“Hello Salem USA.”

STEPHANIE’S APARTMENT

Shawn and Evan enter Stephanie’s apartment. EMT’s and forensics are on the scene. Eddie’s body still on the floor covered in blood.

Shawn:
“So what happened here?”

Evan:
“Is he?”

EMT:
“Dead? Yes. Looks like blunt force trauma to the head, but we won’t know for sure till the autopsy. The only think I know for sure besides the fact that he’s dead is that he must have really pissed off his attacker.”

The EMT looks at the other EMT.

EMT:
“Let’s load him up and get him to the morgue.”

Evan and Shawn look at each other.

SALEM PD

Bo and Stephanie walk into the station.

Bo:
“Go ahead in my office. I’ll be right back.”

Stephanie:
“Okay.”

Stephanie walks into Bo’s office and sits at his desk. Bo pulls out his phone and makes a call.

Bo:
“Hey Justin, it’s Bo. I know it’s late, but I’m going to need you to come down to the station. I’ll explain when you get here.”

While sitting at Bo’s desk, Stephanie notices a tape on there. She picks it up.

Stephanie:
“Hospital garage.”

She flashes back to what Eddie said.

Stephanie:
“Why are you laughing?”

Eddie:
“Because you think Nathan cares about you.”

Stephanie:
“What makes you think he doesn’t? Why else would he not like that we’re hanging out?”

Eddie:
“Because he loves that Melanie chick too much. I mean if you know what he has done to keep her out of jail.”

Stephanie:
“What did Nathan do?”

Eddie:
“Melanie is the one that ran down that DiMera chick and I helped cover it up.”

Stephanie is shocked. Eddie starts laughing.

Eddie:
“And you know the funniest part about this is? You’re the bargaining chip to keep me silent.”

Stephanie comes back with the tape in hand.

Stephanie:
“This proves that Melanie ran down Nicole.”

She takes the tape and sticks it in the bottom drawer of Bo’s desk under some files.

Stephanie:
“You stay there…for now.”

“Cool so meet me at The Pub in a few for some pregnant woman bonding time.”

They hang up. Baker walks into the park, sees Nicole, and tries to leave, but she sees him.

“Oh no you don’t Dick, get back here.”

He stops and turns around. Nicole smiles.

KIRIAKIS MANSION

Chloe puts her phone down as Vivian walks into the living room.

Vivian
“Well good morning Chloe.”

Chloe looks over at her.

“Morning Vivian.”

Vivian
“Pregnancy looks good on you.”

Chloe
“Thank you.”

Chloe walks over and pours herself some orange juice.

Vivian
“I heard you’re going to sing at the Hospital Benefit.”

“Wow news travels fast.”

Chloe takes a sip of her drink then turns around.

“Why yes it does. My friend Fredrick Miller’s assistant told me last week. I feel like I’m behind.”

“Last week?”

Phillip walks into the room.

“You found out last week and you know Fredrick Miller? What does he have to do with the benefit?”

Vivian
“Well…”

Phillip rushes over.

Phillip
“That’s enough Vivian. Please leave.”

“Well good morning Phillip. Must we be rude first thing?”

“Good Morning Vivian and I said please.”

“Well if you need me I’ll be in the garden. It’s such a beautiful day.”

Vivian starts to walk away.

“Trust me we won’t.”

Vivian stops and turns around.

“What was that?”

“Ok bye”

Vivian stares for a moment then continues to the garden.

“Phillip Kiriakis, I think you have some explaining to do.”

Justin rushes in. He sees Bo.

“Sorry it took me so long. I’m dealing with Baker’s case too, but luckily Alex is taking it over.”

“I’m only doing it for Hope.”

“Doing better now than last night. Adrienne’s in there with her now.”

“Your thoughts on this case?”

“Obvious self defense, but we still need to investigate.”

Roman walks up to them.

“What the hell happened?”

BO’S OFFICE

Stephanie sits quietly while Adrienne pours her some coffee.

Adrienne
“Here you go. That should wake you up.”

Stephanie just stares at it. Adrienne sits down.

“Come on honey. Drink it. I also have some muffins from Caroline.”

Stephanie
“Thanks, but I’m not hungry.”

Adrienne
“Okay, well I’ll leave them here in case you change your mind.”

“Thank you aunt Adrienne for being here and bringing me some new clothes and my purse.”

“You’re welcome. Anything you need. I’m right here.”

They hug briefly then Stephanie sits back down.

“And you can come stay with me for as long as you want.”

“It might be for awhile. I don’t think I can live at my apartment anymore.”

“I don’t blame you. As soon as you’re ready, we’ll go apartment hunting together.”

Adrienne smiles slightly.

Nicole
“Are you trying to avoid me Dick?”

Baker
“No, not at all.”

Nicole
“Well then why haven’t you answered your phone or called me back? That hurts Dick.”

Baker
“I haven’t been avoiding you. I’ve been busy with Alex Miller, my lawyer, trying to get me out of this mess.”

Nicole
“That’s why I’ve been trying to get a hold of you. I got a way for EJ to represent you.”

Baker
“How’s that?”

Nicole
“You said you had something to tell me. If you tell me then I can get EJ to help you.”

Baker
“There’s nothing to say. Plus my trial is today and Alex has been a big help. So if you don’t mind, I need to meet up with her before court.”

Baker starts to walk away, but Nicole stops him.

Nicole
“You’re lying.”

Baker turns around.

Baker
“The last thing I need to do is get wrapped back up in whatever scheme you have cooking.”

Nicole
“Like you’re some sort of saint. Whatever goodbye Dick.”

Baker watches as Nicole storms off. Dr. Jason Walters up behind Baker.

Jason
“Now what was that all about?”

Baker turns around and gives him a dirty look.

KIRIAKIS MANSION

Chloe
“Don’t flash your dimples at me Kiriakis.”

Phillip
“What? I’m not. They just show up.”

Chloe
“You already told Fredrick Miller that I was going to sing at the benefit before I even agreed. Not to mention you didn’t mention that he was going to be there.”

Phillip
“I’m sorry. Getting you to sing at the benefit was the only way to get him to come. He wanted to hear you sing. He wants to work with you.”

Chloe
“Really?”

Phillip
“Yes and I didn’t want to tell you because I was afraid you’d get all nervous since you haven’t sung in awhile and well you’re a fan of his or whatever.”

Chloe
“Yeah he’s a great producer and I can’t believe that he wants to work with me.”

Phillip
“And why not? You’re an amazing singer.”

Chloe blushes.

Chloe
“Stop it.”

Phillip
“It’s true.”

Chloe smiles.

Phillip
“So are you still mad at me?”

Chloe
“No I’m not. I can’t ever seem to stay mad at you for long.”

“Good to know I haven’t lost my charm.”

Chloe
“Nope you haven’t.”

“So what’s for breakfast. What does the baby want?”

“I don’t know. I haven’t really had any cravings yet.”

“Well whatever you want, cook will make for you. I gotta go to a meeting. I’ll check in with you later.”

“Okay”

Phillip kisses Chloe on the cheek. Chloe’s surprised. Phillip smiles.

“Bye”

Phillip rubs Chloe’s belly before leaving. Chloe smiles slightly and rubs her belly.

Outside, Vivian is smelling the roses when Gus walks up to her.

“Madam”

Vivian turns around.

“Gus, finally you’ve made your way back to Salem.”

“Yes I have and I have some news for you.”

“Please tell me that you found Nikolas.”

“No I did not.”

“Well then what is the news?”

“I know what he’s been up to.”

“He’s apparently looking for a young girl.”

“Oh no. Don’t tell me he found out about her.”

Bo
“Stephanie was attacked last night and defending herself, she ended up killing her attacker.”

Roman
“No way. How the hell did this happen?”

“I don’t know. I’m about to question her now with Justin.”

Roman
“I wanna be in there also.”

Bo
“Let’s go.”

Bo, Roman, and Justin walk into Bo’s office. Adrienne and Stephanie look up at them.

“Stephanie, I’ll be representing you. Bo wants to ask you questions about last night.”

“Okay.”

“Stephanie, what happened between you Eddie?”

“We went back to my place after his fight with Nathan at the Pub. We were talking then he kissed me.”

Stephanie flashes back to Eddie throwing her on the couch then quickly comes back.

Adrienne
“Oh my gosh. He raped you?”

Roman
“That bastard. He’s lucky he’s dead.”

Stephanie
“No he didn’t rape me. He tried, but that’s when I hit him over the head with my lamp.”

Bo
“Then what happened?”

Stephanie
“I freaked out. That’s when I ran out of the apartment and I ran into Officer Parker. I didn’t mean to kill him.”

They’re interrupted by Natasha.

Natasha
“That’s what they all say.”

Everyone focuses their attention on Natasha.

Bo
“Natasha, can I speak to you for a moment?”

Natasha
“Sure make it fast.”

Bo and Natasha step out of the office.

Justin
“Excuse me.”

Justin gets up and follows Bo and Natasha out.

Bo
“This is obviously self defense.”

Natasha
“Of course she’s your niece, right?”

Bo
“Yes she is…”

Natasha
“That explains it all.”

Bo
“He tried to rape her. She was just defending herself.”

Justin walks up to Bo and Natasha.

Justin
“You bring this to court and the judge would throw it out.”

Natasha
“I’m sure they would.”

Bo
“So, what do you want to do?”

Natasha pauses.

Natasha
“Let her go for now. Now would you excuse me, I have a court hearing to get ready for. See you in court Kiriakis.”

Natasha walks away.

Justin
“She can bring up any charge she wants, but Stephanie doesn’t have a record so there’s no problem here.”

Bo
“Not a record, but an issue could come up.”

Justin
“What issue?”

Bo
“Ford Decker.”

THE PARK

Baker
“None of your business.”

Baker tries to walk away, but Jason stops him.

Jason
“You’re not going anywhere Baker until I deliver a message from The Boss.”

Baker stops and walks back to Jason.

Baker
“What does The Boss want now?”

Jason
“He’s pissed thanks to your outburst yesterday.”

Baker crosses his arms.

Jason
“Telling Samantha Brady and Lucas Horton about Sydney DiMera being Nicole’s biological daughter. Are you crazy? Or just stupid? Probably both. You know how hard The Boss has worked to keep this a secret and you blow it in 2 seconds?”

Baker
“The truth needs to come out.”

Jason
“No it doesn’t.”

Baker
“And why not?”

Jason
“Because The Boss said so.”

Baker
“Well I’m done doing what The Boss says. I’ll probably end up in jail because I was following orders.”

Jason
“You’ve never followed orders from The Boss. The Boss didn’t tell you to give Nicole her baby back.”

Baker
“She thought Sydney was Sami’s.”

Jason
“Now Sami knows that Sydney’s not hers.”

Baker
“They put the pressure on me. What was I supposed to do?”

Jason
“Contact The Boss.”

Baker
“It all happened so fast.”

Jason
“Well now your court hearing is the least of your problems.”

Baker
“Let me guess. I could end up like Colin Murphy.”

Jason
“You bet ya. I enjoyed injecting his IV and watching him slip away.”

Baker
“And you signed up to save lives.”

Jason smiles.

Baker
“Well it doesn’t matter because I don’t have anything to live for anyways.”

A balls rolls next to Baker’s feet. Jason and Baker stare at it. Hope and Ciara rush over to get it.

Ciara
“Found it.”

Hope
“I’m sorry.”

Baker smiles.

Baker
“It’s fine.”

Ciara picks up the ball.

Ciara
“I’m going back to play with Theo.”

Hope
“Ok honey.”

Ciara rushes off.

Hope
“I’ll leave you two alone.”

Hope walks away.

Jason
“Looks like you do have something to live for.”

Jason walks away. Baker watches him leave then looks over at Hope.

Baker
“Maybe so.”

KIRIAKIS MANSION: GARDEN

Vivian
“I don’t know her name, but Lawrence was always adamant that Nicholas never meet her.”

Gus
“Why not?”

Vivian
“He never went into details, but he never wanted them to meet.”

Gus
“Who is she?”

Vivian
“His daughter.”

Gus is shocked.

SALEM PD

Bo just got finished telling Justin the story about Ford Decker.

Justin
“Wow. That creepy little bastard.”

Bo
“Yeah. No charges were filed, but who knows. Natasha could find out about this.”

Justin
“I will have to think of a strategy if she does.”

Bo
“Me too.”

Nicole walks in unbeknownst to Bo and Justin.

Justin
“First Ford Decker now this guy.”

Nicole
“So this is what happens at the police station? You talk about household appliances instead of finding who ran me over.”

Bo rolls his eyes.

LOL at the signature dimples. They just show up. Sweet scene. I loved it. I also enjoyed seeing Vivian, and her interaction with Philip and with Gus. So Nicolas has a daughter. This should be interesting. Can't wait for more!

“Good. So how have you been?”

Baker
“Good, you? How’s therapy.”

Hope
“It’s going great. I was skeptical at first, but it’s amazing. I love it. It’s so helpful and it helps me be a better person and a better mother.”

Baker
“That’s great. I’m glad to hear.”

Hope
“So how about your hearing? Isn’t it coming up soon?”

Baker
“Yes it’s today actually.”

Hope
“Oh wow. I’m glad I ran into you then. I want to be there for you.”
Baker’s shocked.

SALEM PD

Nicole
“Hmmm….no response. Am I speaking English?”

Justin
“I need to go talk with Stephanie. I’ll talk to you later Bo.”

Bo
“Yeah.”

Justin walks away.

Bo
“You’re speaking excellent English Nicole.”

Nicole
“Good. So what about it? Who ran me over?”

Bo
“We’re working on it.”

Nicole
“You’re working on it? You’ve been working on it for weeks now. Just working on it is not good enough. I want justice.”

Bo
“That’s sweet coming from you Nicole. After all you’ve done to the people of this town. You want justice because someone did you wrong for once.”

Nicole
“This isn’t about me. It’s about my unborn child. That maniac that ran me over could have killed him or her.”

Bo
“I will call you when I find something. Till then, leave.”

Bo walks away. Nicole talks to herself.

Nicole
“Good for nothing.”

Arianna walks up behind Nicole.

Arianna
“Oh Nicole, you shouldn’t talk about yourself that way.”

Nicole turns around to see Arianna smiling. She smirks back at her.

BO'S OFFICE

Stephanie gets up and starts pacing.

Stephanie
"Do you think I'm going to jail?"

Roman
"No way sweetheart. This was self defense. That bastard got what he deserved."

Stephanie stops.

Stephanie
"But he was still a person and I took his life."

Adrienne walks over to her.

Adrienne
"Honey, you were just protecting yourself. It's obvious you didn't mean to do what you did. That DA will have to see it your way."

Roman
"Yes, there's no way you're going to jail."

Justin walks in. Everyone looks over at him.

Roman
"What happened?"

Justin
"You're free to go, for now."

Stephanie
"What does that mean?"

Justin
"Natasha wants this to be investigated more. She's going to wait for the autopsy to make her final decision."

Roman
"That's just stupid. Just stupid. This is an obvious open and shut case."

Justin
"Ms. Crane doesn't see it that way."

Roman
"Well I'm going to make her see it that way."

Roman tries to leave, but Justin stops him.

Justin
"I think it's best that you cool off. Let me handle the DA."

Roman calms down.

Roman
"You're right. I'm going to take a walk."

Roman leaves the room.

Stephanie
"Thank you uncle Justin."

Stephanie hugs him. He hugs her back.

Justin
"You're welcome."

They stop hugging.

Justin
"Sorry to bail on you, but I have to get to court."

Stephanie
"It's fine. Aunt Adrienne's here with me."

Adrienne walks up to them.

Adrienne
"Yep. She's in great hands."

Adrienne puts her arm around Stephanie.

Justin
"Good. I'll call you later."

Stephanie
"Ok."

Justin leaves.

Adrienne
"So what do you want to do now?"

Stephanie turn and looks at Bo's desk. She flashes back to putting the surveillance video in Bo's desk then comes back. She looks up at Adrienne and smiles.

TITAN BOARDROOM

Brady and Phillip are finishing up a meeting about the hospital benefit.

Phillip
“Thank you all for coming and we’ll see you tomorrow night.”

Everyone gets up and leaves the boardroom. Brady walks up to Phillip who’s putting some papers into a folder.

Brady
“Great work Phillip, I’m impressed.”

Phillip looks up at Brady.

Phillip
“Thank you Brady. That means a lot coming from you.”

Brady
“I can’t tell if you’re being sincere or sarcastic.”

Phillip
“It depends. Were you being sincere or sarcastic?”

Brady
“Sincere”

Phillip
“Then I was being sincere too.”

Phillip puts his files in his briefcase.

Brady
“So this is how it’s going to be between us?”

Phillip looks up at Brady.

Phillip
“What do you mean Brady?”

Brady
“Oh stop it Phillip. If you have something to say then just say it.”

Phillip
“I don’t have anything to say. You’re the one that seems to have plenty to say.”

Brady
“Yeah you’re right I do.”

Phillip seems intrigued.

KIRAKIS MANSION: GARDEN

Gus is still in shock.

Gus
"Nicholas has a daughter? Why would Lawrence not want to know his granddaughter?"

Vivian
"It's a long story."

Gus
"Do tell."

Vivian
"Alright, I'll tell."

Gus
"Ok."

Vivian
"Nicholas didn't know the child existed. The woman he impregnated no good. She was not worthy enough to carry an Alamain. So Lawrence and the girl's father got rid of the kid."

Gus
"How?"

Vivian
"They gave her up for adoption."

Gus
"Hopefully to a good family."

Vivian
"Who knows, who cares."

Gus
"So you're not interested in knowing who she is?"

THE PARK

Baker
"Really? Why?"

Hope
"Why not?"

Baker
"I don't know. After everything that's happened."

Hope
"You were the one that was there for me. You helped me out. And I got Justin and Alex to work on your case for you. So I care."

Baker
"Yeah I guess so. Thanks."

Hope and Baker smile at each other. Ciara interrupts.

Ciara
"Mom."

Hope turns to her.

Hope
"Yes Ciara."

Ciara
"Can we go now? I'm bored."

Ciara looks at Baker.

Ciara
"Who's this?"

Hope
"This is my friend Richard Baker."

Ciara
"Hi.

Baker
"Hi."

Hope
"And yes we can go. We're going to see Grandma Caroline."

Ciara
"Cool. Is Claire going to be there?"

Hope
"Yes she will be."

Ciara
"Cool."

Hope
"Go say goodbye to Theo."

Ciara
"Ok."

Ciara rushes off. Hope turns to Baker.

Hope
"I'll see you at the courtroom."

Baker
"Okay."

Hope
"Bye"

Hope smiles as she walks away. Baker smiles as he watches her walk away.

SALEM PD

Arianna
“What did you do this time Nicole? Steal another baby? Frame someone? Am I getting warmer?”

Nicole
“Nothing…yet. The day is still young.”

Arianna chuckles.

Nicole
“I’m here to find out the status of the crazy person that ran me over and tried to kill me.”

Arianna
“Too bad they didn’t succeed.”

Nicole
“So you would have liked for this person to have killed Brady’s baby? And here I thought you actually loved him.”

Arianna
“That baby isn’t Brady’s. It’s EJ’s. And as soon as you can get that through your thick skull, the better off everyone will be.”

Nicole
“Brady is the father of this baby and I can prove it.”

Arianna
“How?”

Nicole
“DNA test.”

Arianna
“Oh yeah I’m sure you can’t change that.”

Nicole
“I’m not because I know the truth and the truth is your hubby knocked me up.”

Arianna throws her hands in the air.

Arianna
“Oh my gosh. Has the bleach gotten into your brain or something? This baby is not Brady’s and Brady doesn’t want to have anything to do with you. So just get over it.”

Nicole gets into Arianna’s face.

Nicole
“Brady is the father and I will not get over it. You might have him now, but I’ll get him in the end. Just wait and see.”

Arianna crosses her arms.

Nicole
“You thought framing you for the Salem muggings was bad. You haven’t seen anything yet.”

Nicole smiles then walks away. Arianna drops her arms then turns around and watches Nicole walk away.

Arianna
“Bring it on.”

TITAN BOARDROOM

Phillip
"So what is it that you want to say to me."

Brady
"Still can't believe what you did to Melanie and Chloe."

Phillip
"Oh really? Come on. Melanie wanted Nathan the whole time we were together."

Brady
"Ok, well Chloe and Daniel were happy together and you ruined that."

Phillip
"Yeah I'm just a screw up. Unlike you who got Nicole pregnant then turned around and married Arianna."

Brady
"EJ would be the father of that baby."

Phillip
"And what if EJ isn't that father and you are? Are you going to do the right thing by Nicole and the baby?"

Brady
"Let me deal with that."

Phillip
"And let me deal with Chloe and the baby. You know at least I care about them. Chloe didn't have a place to go and look now she has a place to live and a job opportunity."

Brady
"Oh with that Fredrick Miller guy?"

Phillip
"Yes. He'll be at the benefit and he wants to work with her. I'm helping her get her life back on track. What are you doing for Nicole? Isn't she living with EJ? Do you really want your kid there?"

Brady stares angrily at Phillip. Phillip gets closer to Brady.

Phillip
"You can pretend that you have it all together better than me. Taking my job, having a cute little marriage, but all and all you're no better than me Brady Black."

Phillip smiles then walks away. Brady puts his hands on his hips.

BO'S OFFICE

Adrienne
"So do you have an idea?"

Stephanie
"Yeah."

Adrienne's phone rings.

Adrienne
"Sorry honey. This will just be a second."

Adrienne answers.

Adrienne
"Hello? What? Ok I'll be there for a minute."

Adrienne hangs up.

Adrienne
"I'm sorry, but there's an emergency at Cheatin' Heart."

Stephanie
"It's fine. Go ahead."

Adrienne
"Okay. I'll call you when I'm done. Or come on down later, ok?"

Stephanie
"I will I'm just gonna go to The Pub."

Adrienne
"Great. I know Caroline will love to see you."

Stephanie
"Yeah."

Stephanie and Adrienne hug then stop.

Adrienne
"Ok bye sweetheart."

Adrienne walks away. Stephanie waits for her to leave before she goes into Bo's desk and pulls out the surveillance video.

Stephanie
"Now what should I do with you?"

She says with a smile.

KIRIAKIS MANSION: GARDEN

Vivian
"Why would I?"

Gus
"If Nicholas is trying to find her, you should help him."

Vivian
"The last thing he needs to do deal with is some bratty child."

Gus
"What if you find her? Nicholas will be grateful and may even come to Salem."

Vivian thinks.

Vivian
"Or even better. I could use this child to get back at Carly."

Vivian claps and smiles.

THE PUB

Nicole walks in then sits down. She pulls out her phone and calls Chloe.

Nicole
"Hey Chloe. I'm at the Pub early. No luck at the Salem PD. I know, right?"

Arianna walks in. She walks passed Nicole. Nicole notices.

Nicole
"Okay I'll talk to you more when you get here. Ok, bye"

Nicole hangs up and walks over to Arianna.

Nicole
"Are you following me or something?"

Arianna turns around.

Arianna
"I work here."

Nicole
"What? Mrs. Brady Black is a waitress still?"

Arianna
"Yes, I'm going to still work here. You know, work for a living, unlike you."

Nicole
"I had a job and I got fired because of your father-in-law. By the way, how is everything going with that? Victor hates you just as much as he hates me and that’s saying a lot."

Arianna
“I don’t have time to spar with you Nicole. I have a job to do.”

Nicole
“You’re right, you do. Now go fetch me some water. The baby’s thirsty.”

Arianna rolls her eyes then walks over to the bar to get Nicole some water. Nicole turns and walks back to her table just as Stephanie walks in. Stephanie walks over to the counter and sits down. Arianna walks past and gives Nicole her water.

Arianna
“Here you go Nicole.”

Arianna places the glass down on the table.
Nicole
“I changed my mind. I think I want some green tea now.”

Arianna
“Coming right up.”

Nicole chuckles as Arianna walks away. Stephanie turns around and looks over at Nicole then flashes back to when she stole the hospital surveillance video from Bo’s office and stuck it in her purse. She flashes back and smiles. She stands up and walks towards Nicole.

Just as Stephanie is about to walk up to Nicole, she notices Nathan standing outside. Stephanie freezes and stares at him. She flashes back to what Eddie told her then comes back. She looks at Nicole again then rushes out just as Chloe is coming in. Chloe looks at Stephanie as she rushes past her then walks over to Chloe.

Nicole
"Finally, you're here"

Chloe
"Sorry. I couldn't find anything that would fit right."

Nicole
"Me neither. We need to go shopping."

Chloe
"I agree. For us and the babies."

Nicole
"Yes our Kiriakis' babies"

Chloe
"So you know for sure Brady is the father?"

Arianna interrupts.

Arianna
"No she doesn't and Chloe, you should encourage your friend to stay away from my husband."

OUTSIDE THE PUB

Nathan
“Hey Stephanie. Are you okay?”

Stephanie
“No, no I’m not okay Nathan.”

Nathan
“What’s wrong?”

Stephanie
“You.”

Nathan
“Me? What did I do? Is this about last night?”

Stephanie
“Yes and another night as well.”

Nathan seem confused. Stephanie notices.

Stephanie
“You look confused.”

Nathan
“I am very confused. What other night are you referring to?”

Stephanie clinches her purse.

Stephanie
“You’ll see.”

She says with a smile on her face then walks away. Nathan follows her.

DIMERA MANSION

EJ paces around the living as he makes a call to his informant about Chad.

EJ
"Have you found anything about this Chad Peterson Woods?"

Phillip walks in.

Phillip
"Why do you want to find out about Chad?"

EJ turns around and smiles.

THE COURTHOUSE

Alex is in the courtroom looking over some papers when Justin walks in.

Justin
“Hey. Alex I’m sorry I’m late. I was at the station then I had to pick up Phillip and Melanie’s divorce papers and…”

Alex smiles.

Alex
“It’s fine. I got everything in order. We’re just waiting for Baker to show up.”

Baker walks into the courtroom with Hope.

Baker
“I am here.”

Alex and Justin look at them and are surprised.

STEPHANIE’S APARTMENT

Stephanie opens her door. She stands in the doorway and sees the crime tape and the broken lamp on the floor as well as Eddie’s blood. She flashes back to hitting Eddie over the head with her lamp. She comes back as Nathan walks up behind her.

Nathan
“What happened here?”

Stephanie turns around.

Stephanie
“This is all your fault.”

Nathan’s shocked.

THE PUB

Nicole
"Go away."

Arianna smiles she walks away.

Nicole
"The nerve to interrupting our private conversation"

Chloe
"Well she's right you know."

Nicole
"Who's friend are you?"

Chloe
"Brady is married now. You should go after someone that's more avaliable."

Nicole
"Like who?"

Chloe
"Like EJ."

DIMERA MANSION

EJ
"Call me later when you find something."

EJ hangs up his phone.

EJ
"So you just burst into people's houses now."

Phillip
"No. Harold let me in. And besides, my mom lives here and she said I can come over whenever I want."

EJ walks over to pour himself a drink.

EJ
"Well I guess that's something I'm going to have to talk to mommy about. Drink?"

Phillip
"Sure why not."

Phillip walks over to get a drink from EJ.

Phillip
“So are you going to tell me why you’re interested in Chad Peterson Woods?”

He takes a sip. EJ smiles.

STEPHANIE’S APARTMENT

Nathan
“My fault? How? What happened?”

Stephanie walks into her apartment.

Stephanie
“Why don’t you come in and I’ll explain.”

Nathan walks in slowly and closes the door.

Nathan
“What happened? Please tell me.”

Stephanie
“Oh so you care now?”

Nathan
“Care now? What? About you?”

Stephanie
“Yes, yes about me.”

Nathan
“Of course I do. Things might be screwed up between us, but I never stopped caring about you.”

Stephanie flashes back to what Eddie said to her about Nathan.

Stephanie:
“Why are you laughing?”

Eddie:
“Because you think Nathan cares about you.”

Stephanie:
“What makes you think he doesn’t? Why else would he not like that we’re hanging out?”

Eddie:
“Because he loves that Melanie chick too much. I mean if you know what he has done to keep her out of jail.”

Stephanie:
“What did Nathan do?”

Eddie:
“Melanie is the one that ran down that DiMera chick and I helped cover it up.”

Stephanie is shocked. Eddie starts laughing.

Eddie:
“And you know the funniest part about this is? You’re the bargaining chip to keep me silent.”

Stephanie gets upset.

Stephanie comes back.

Stephanie
“You don’t care about me. You care only care about Melanie and keeping her out of trouble and I know all about it.”

Nathan
“Know about what?”

Stephanie
“That Melanie is the one that ran over Nicole.”

Nathan gets nervous.

Nicole
"What? EJ? Why?"

Chloe
"Because you obviously still have feelings for him. You guys slept together"

Nicole
"I do not. I have zero feelings for EJ in that way. Hate yes, but love? No. If that's the case. Then you still have feelings for Phillip."

Chloe
"I don't. Friendship yes but that's all."

Nicole
"Why not? Phillip is single, hot, rich, and come on don’t tell me you haven't thought about what it would feel like to be Mrs. Phillip Kiriakis."

Chloe smiles.

Nicole
"I'll take that smile as a yes."

Chloe
"Once upon but not anymore."

Nicole
"Why not? You finally have Phillip all to yourself and the perfect in. You're carrying his baby. I mean there's a reason why you got knocked up."

Chloe
"Yes. We got drunk and had unprotected sex. And I just so happened to be ovulating."

Nicole
"Yeah, yeah."

Chloe
"Nicole, we're just two friends having a baby."

Nicole
"You say that now but you two are living together. Soon you'll be going the doctors together. Looking at your baby on the little monitor thingy and the next thing you know, you're back in bed with each other. Then you're married."

Chloe
"Phillip and I will never get married."

Nicole
"Never say never."

Nicole takes a sip of her tea. Chloe smiles a little.

DIMERA MANSION

EJ
“I don’t think it’s any of your business. Why are you here anyways?”

Phillip
“You didn’t come to the board meeting again. So I thought I would come over and catch you up.”

EJ
“Catch me up? I believe I’m caught up. The masquerade ball or whatever is tomorrow night. I have my tickets, I have my tuxedo neatly pressed, my date, and my checkbook.”

Phillip
“Let me guess, your date is Nicole?”

EJ
“Well of course. I would like to take my, how do you Americans say, baby momma out for a night.”

Phillip giggles.

EJ
“I’m guessing your date will be Chloe.”

Phillip
“Yes she will be and she will be performing.”

EJ
“Ah a number by Chloe Lane. Sounds amazing.”

Phillip
“It will be.”

Phillip smiles as he takes another sip from his glass.

THE COURTHOUSE

Justin
“Hope, I didn’t know you were going to be here.”

Hope
“I wanted to be here to support Baker.”

Alex stands up and walks over to them.

Alex
“Well welcome come on in.”

Hope
“So how does the case look for Baker?”

Justin
“Pretty good actually.”

Alex
“We believe that there’s not enough evidence to convict Baker of any wrong doing except with the muggings, but I feel we can get him a really nice deal. Maybe even avoiding jail time.”

Hope
“That’s great.”

Baker
“I have the best lawyers. All thanks to you.”

Hope
“You don’t have to thank me.”

Justin
“Oh yes he does. I won’t have taken this case unless you asked me.”

Baker
“I feel the love.”

Hope
“Thank you Justin.”

Justin
“Well if you excuse me. I have a call to make.”

Hope
“Of course.”

Justin walks away and calls Phillip.

DIMERA MANSION

Phillip’s phone rings. He pulls it out of his pocket then looks at EJ.

Phillip
“Excuse me.”

EJ
“Of course.”

EJ takes a sip of his drink as Phillip answers his phone.

Phillip
“Hello.”

Justin
“Hey Phillip, do you have time to come down to the courthouse?”

Phillip
“Uh, sure. Is everything okay?”

Justin
“Yeah, everything’s fine. I just have your divorce papers ready and I know you wanted them ASAP.”

Phillip looks down.

Phillip
“Yes I did. I’ll be right there.”

Phillip and Justin hang up.

EJ
“Oh you have to go so soon?”

Phillip puts his phone back into his pocket.

Phillip
“Yeah I know, you’ll miss me.”

EJ
“You know me so well.”

Phillip
“But before I go, I have to issue you a warning.”

EJ
“About what?”

Phillip
“Nicole.”

EJ
“Yes, I already know she’s a scheming one.”

Phillip
“Not that. You already have experience with that.”

EJ
“Unfortunately.”

Phillip
“You better not hurt her. Nicole’s a good friend.”

EJ
“After trying to kill your father?”

Phillip
“That’s old news. Besides my father is alive and healthy and hating everyone as usual.”

EJ
“You don’t have to worry. I won’t hurt your innocent little friend Nicole.”

Phillip
“Thank you.”

Phillip places the glass on the table then walks out.

STEPHANIE’S APARTMENT

Nathan
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Stephanie
“Eddie told me everything.”

Nathan
“You can’t believe anything that he says.”

Stephanie
“I have proof. I have the video that clearly shows Melanie running Nicole and her unborn baby over.”

Nathan panics.

Stephanie
“And you used Eddie to cover it up. And I was the bargaining chip to keep him quiet.”

Nathan
“You were never a bargaining chip.”

Stephanie
“So what was I? Did you know what he tried to do to me?”

Stephanie gets in Nathan’s face.

Nathan
“What?”

Stephanie begins to cry.

Stephanie
“He tried to…he tried to rape me. Right here. Right here on this couch.”

She yells as she points to the couch. Nathan’s eyes widen.

Nathan
“Stephanie, I’m so…”

Stephanie interrupts.

Stephanie
“…sorry? You’re going to be. You’re going to be sorry you ever crossed me.”

Nathan’s surprised.

Nathan
“What does that mean? You’re going to turn me and Melanie in? or is Eddie already at the station ratting me out?”

Stephanie
“Eddie’s dead.”

Nathan’s shocked.

Nathan
“What? What happened?”

Stephanie
“I killed him.”

She says like it was nothing.

THE COURTHOUSE

Outside the courthouse, Natasha and Rafe run into each other.

Rafe & Natasha
“I’m so sorry.”

They look at each other.

Rafe & Natasha
“You!”

Natasha
“I’ll take that back. I’m not sorry.”

Rafe
“I take back my sorry as well.”

Natasha
“Whatever.”

Rafe starts to walk away, but Natasha stops him.

Natasha
“I hope you’re prepared for this hearing or else you’ll have to pull that sorry back out.”

Rafe turns around.

Rafe
“Don’t worry about it. I have this covered.”

Natasha
“You better Agent Hernandez or I’ll have your badge.”

Natasha smiles as she walks past him. Rafe sighs.

THE PUB

Chloe
"Let’s change the subject."

Nicole
"To what?"

Chloe
"You."

Nicole
"We already talked about me."

Chloe
"Yeah then you changed the subject to me."

Nicole
"Ok what about me?"

Chloe
"Do you see yourself getting back together with EJ?"

Nicole
"No, no I don't."

Chloe
"Why not?"

Nicole
"Because of everything that happened. Plus he never loved me anyways."

Chloe
"I think EJ did love you."

Nicole
"Yeah right."

Chloe
"I saw you two together. The way he looked at you. That was love."

Nicole
"He only loved that I was Sydney's mother, but I'm not so it's over. And he's only putting up with me because I'm pregnant and the baby maybe his."

Chloe
"I think there's more to it than just Sydney and there's more to it than just this baby."

Nicole
"Well search all you want to. It's not there Chloe."

Chloe
"I think it is. And if you wanted EJ, I'm sure you could get him. You are Nicole Walker, aren't you?"

Nicole
"Yes, but I don't want EJ. I want Brady."

Arianna walks pass.

Arianna
"Brady's unavailable."

Nicole
"Shut up, gosh."

Nicole makes an angry face.

Chloe
"She's right though."

Nicole
"Who's friend are you again?"

Chloe
"Yours, that's why I'm telling you the truth."

Nicole
"Fine, I'll leave Brady alone."

Arianna walks pass again.

Arianna
"Thank you."

Nicole
"Does she really need to walk pass her all the time? Gosh."

Chloe chuckles. Nicole gives Chloe a little evil look.

STEPHANIE’S APARTMENT

Nathan
“You’re joking right?”

Stephanie
“He attacked me and I was defending myself.”

Nathan
“And you got off?”

Stephanie
“Yes. It’s that easy, but you and Melanie will not be so lucky.”
Stephanie wipes her tears.

Stephanie
“Now what should I do? Give this to the police or give this to the DiMeras? Decisions, Decisions.”

Nathan
“Come on Stephanie. You know what the DiMeras are capable of.”

Stephanie
“Oh yes. They’ve tortured my family for years. I’ve seen some things. It’ll be nice to see what they would do to someone I don’t care anything about.”

Nathan
“Just turn it over to the police and we’ll take our chances.”

Stephanie turns around and sees something sticking out of the couch. She flashes back.

Eddie:
“The truth hurts. I know. I have proof by the way.”

Eddie pulls a key out of his pocket.

Stephanie:
“What’s that?”

Eddie:
“A key to my safe deposit box. It has everything in there you need to know what kind of person Dr. Nathan Horton really is.”

She comes back and turns around to face Nathan again.

Stephanie
“After all this trouble to keep it a secret you just want to give it all up? Oh no let’s not let Eddie’s death be in vain. Let’s keep the cover up going.”

Stephanie smiles.

Nathan
“Really?”

Stephanie
“Yes. How about I’ll keep quiet about the hit and run and well you being the last person to see Colin Murphy alive and all the nasty things you said about him. You wouldn’t want my Uncle Bo to hear all of that.”

Nathan
“Bo already knows about that.”

Stephanie
“I’m sure you told him what you said also.”

Stephanie laughs.

THE COURTHOUSE

Inside the courtroom, Baker and Hope talk.

Baker
“I’m sorry, I’m causing problems between you and Justin.”

Hope
“It’s fine. Justin just…”

Baker
“Doesn’t like me.”

Hope
“He’s just been protective. But it doesn’t matter. I still want to be here for you.”

Baker
“Why?”

Hope
“Because I feel responsible for you getting into this mess.”

Baker
“I’m not just here about the muggings, but also about my baby broker business that I was running. I’m not a good person Hope, but you are. You shouldn’t be associated with me.”

Hope
“I’m not a good person. And we all make mistakes. Doesn’t mean we should be treated any different. That’s why I’m here.”

Hope holds Baker’s hand. Baker looks down at their hands touching then back to Hope and smiles. Justin frowns in the corner as he watches Baker and Hope getting close. Phillip walks in and see.

Phillip
“What’s going on there?”

Justin looks at Phillip.

Justin
“Baker, trying to work his charm on Hope. It won’t work. She’ll figure out what he’s all about soon enough. Hopefully by then it’s not too late.”

Phillip
“Hopefully.”

Justin opens his briefcase and hands Phillip his divorce papers.

Justin
“Here you go.”

Phillip takes the papers from Justin’s hands.

Phillip
“Thank you.”

Justin
“I’m sorry things didn’t work out between you and Melanie.”

Phillip
“Thanks, but it wasn’t meant to be. She wants Nathan and I…I don’t know.”

Justin
“Do you want Chloe?”

Phillip pauses. Alex interrupts.

Alex
“Courts about to start.”

Justin
“Okay I’ll be right there.”

Phillip
“We’ll talk later. I got to get these to Melanie.”

Justin
“Okay. Yeah later.”

Justin walks with Alex into the courtroom. Phillip has a flashback of Chloe smiling then comes back. He smiles then walks away.

THE PUB

Nicole
"Well I need to get going to my doctor's appointment."

Nicole and Chloe stand up and hug.

Chloe
"Have fun."

Nicole
"I will. I get to see the baby."

Chloe
"Aww..."

Nicole
"When's your appointment?"

Chloe
"Next week."

Nicole
"Cool. We need to have a shopping day."

Chloe
"Yes we do."

Nicole
"See ya."

Chloe
"See ya."

Chloe waves as Nicole leaves The Pub.

STEPHANIE’S APARTMENT

Nathan
“Wow, you’ve changed.”

Stephanie
“I can say the same for you.”

Nathan looks away.

Stephanie
“So you’re going to go to Melanie and break things off with her or my Uncle Bo gets this tape plus all the other evidence that Eddie has on you in his safe deposit box. Not only would you 2 go to jail, but still will have to deal with the DiMeras.”

Nathan stares madly at Stephanie.

Stephanie
“Paybacks are a bitch, aren’t they Nathan?”

Nathan
“Yeah, I’m looking right at one.”

Stephanie puts her hands on her chest.

Stephanie
“Wow, that really hurt my feelings.”

She drops them then points to the door.

Stephanie
“The choice is yours. Now get out.”

Nathan shakes his head in disgust then leaves slamming the door behind him. Stephanie laughs then walks over to her couch and picks up the key and stares at it.

Stephanie
“Revenge will be mine.”

DIMERA MANSION

EJ’s back on his phone talking to his informant about Chad.

EJ
“So what did you find out about Chad? Really? That’s it? Yes I do know he’s a teenage boy. Fine, I’ll talk to him myself.”

EJ hangs up and slams his phone on the table. He picks up his glass and notices it’s almost empty so he fills it back up then takes a big gulp.

EJ
“Chad DiMera? That doesn’t even sound right.”

EJ says to himself. He puts his glass on the table.

EJ
“He can’t be my son. He just can’t be.”

EJ grabs his phone and leaves the mansion.

Sami walks into the courthouse and sees Rafe. She walks over to him.

Sami
"Hey there stranger."

She says with a smile. Rafe looks over at her and smiles.

Rafe
"Hey."

They kiss.

Rafe
"What are you doing here?"

Sami
"To make sure that bastard gets what's coming to him."

She says seriously. Lucas walks into the courtroom and up to Alex.

Lucas
"Hey honey"

Alex turns around and smiles.

Alex
"Lucas!"

She gives him a big hug and kiss.

Alex
"I feel like I never get to see you anymore."

Lucas
"Well you don't because you're always working on Baker's case. Like he deserves a defense."

Alex
"Everyone's is allowed to a fair trial. Plus Hope asked Justin and me to help him and it's a good thing we did. There's no way the FBI or the Salem PD has enough evidence to go to trial."

Lucas
"So he's going to walk?"

Lucas asks angrily.

Hope and Baker look over at Lucas and Alex.

Baker
"I get the feeling that Lucas Horton doesn't like me."

Hope
"It doesn't matter what Lucas thinks. Don't worry about him or anybody else. Just focus on getting through this."

Baker
"Thanks Hope. You're a great person."

Hope
"No I'm not."

Baker
"Well you're a great person to me."

Hope smiles. Baker smiles back. Back outside, Rafe and Sami talk about Baker.

Rafe
"I'm going to make sure of it."

Sami
"Good. I know I could count on you."

Natasha walks up and interrupts.

Natasha
"He better hope he can because if he embarrasses me in court today, I will have his badge."

Sami
"Rafe knows what he's doing. So why don't you take a flying leap."

Feeling this is about to quickly escalate, Rafe sets in between Sami and Natasha.

Rafe
"Thank you Sami, but let’s go into the courtroom. It's almost time."

Natasha
"Yes lets."

Natasha says with a big smile on her face before turning around and walking into the courtroom. Rafe and Sami walk.

In the courtroom, Justin interrupts Alex and Lucas.

Justin
"It's about to start."

He says then sits down.

Alex
"I'm sorry Lucas."

The court guard comes in.

Court Guard
"All rise. The honorable Judge Fitzpatrick presiding."

Judge Fitzpatrick walks out and takes her seat.

Court Guard
"You may now all be seated."

Everyone sits down. Fitzpatrick opens up a file and flips through it.

Fitzpatrick
"I've looked over the case against Dr. Richard Baker and I have to say. This is the most muddled together case I've ever seen."

Rafe is shocked. Natasha smiles.

Fitzpatrick
"There's no evidence to even show that Samantha Brady nor Nicole Walker were even at Dr. Baker's clinic."

Alex stands up.

Alex
"Exactly your honor. This is nothing more than the FBI and the Salem PD trying to pin this...anything on my client to satisfy their vendetta against him."

Rafe interrupts.

Rafe
"Vendetta? There is no vendetta here. Dr. Baker did take Sami Brady's baby and switched her with Mia McCormick's per request by Nicole Walker."

Alex
"Allegedly."

Rafe
"Allegedly? It's the truth. Ms. Walker already served her time now it's time that Dr. Baker does as well."

Fitzpatrick looks at Rafe then at Alex then at Baker's file.

Fitzpatrick
"I will have to agree with Ms. Miller on this one Agent Hernandez. This seems like you're on a witch hunt and this is far too personal. Therefore, I declare that this case be dismissed and Dr. Baker is free of all charges."

Fitzpatrick gabble goes down and she walks off. Alex is happy. She jumps up and down clapping. Baker looks over at Hope who is smiling from ear to ear. He smiles back at her. Rafe looks disappointed as Sami walks over to him.

Sami
"I'm sorry Rafe."

Rafe
"No I'm the one that should be sorry. I let you down."

Sami
"It's ok. You did your best."

Natasha walks up.

Natasha
"If that was your best then I would hate to see you at your worst."

Sami and Rafe look at her.

Sami
"Do you ever just go away or no?"

Natasha
"I warned you and now I'll follow through. Your days as an FBI agent are numbered."

Natasha flashes a smile before walking away. Sami gets pissed.

Sami
"The nerve of that bitch."

Rafe
"It's fine. I have to go."

Rafe walks off. Sami takes off after him.

Sami
"Rafe, wait."

She walks passes Lucas and stops. She turns around.

Lucas
"You know you ruined this for Rafe right?"

Sami
"Must you rub it in?"

Lucas
"Don't I always."

Sami
"I screwed up and now Rafe's job might be in jeopardy."

Sami looks at Baker who smiles.
