And honestly....I mean truly honestly...I think EJ is the character most easily believed to be gay....his prance, his tight suits, I've always thought he looked like a gay flamenco dancer.....or PeeWee Herman...who could also be perceived as gay......
And just for the record, I'm referring to the characters, not to the men playing them.....

He and Philip are the two fussiest of the male character with their appearance and Philip constantly tucking the hair. But from day one I thought Will. I thought that was the reason they recast the character frankly. |

My saying it is clear comes from how I perceive the character of Will. It is not like I am the only one who has noticed. Okay in that sense I understand how Will and all of the other suggestions are clear options. I think that a coming of age story could be good if done right. I just think Days PTB are unlikely to tell any story well and that older actors would have a better chance of saving the writing than younger, less experienced ones. Interestingly enough, I remember similar speculations about other young Salem heirs, Brady, Philip and Shawn were all "expected" to be gay too. The Shawn/Philip speculation was especially strong and for good reason. If there were ever a young male relationship on Days that seemed to be building toward that potential it was those two IMO. I agree that it is doubtful that this entire article is anything more than continued speculation but I guess only time will tell for sure. |

Hey, what about Roman? He meets a man his own age, or a younger man, and they become companions before coming out with a serious, relationship. Roman might be sick of being used, loved and dropped by the women in his life. It would be as nice as the Victor/Maggie romance. Roman needs some love.

^^^Aww you're right poor Roman has been lonely a long time... maybe that's why we've seen so little of him onscreen and why he hasn't dated anyone since Kate (though dating Kate would be enough to make him fearful of any relationship ever again). The neat thing about it being someone in an older generation like Roman is that he might be even more inclined to feel like he needed to hide it from everyone. It would also explain why he would have tried to deny his true feelings and pursued marriage and family with Marlena, etc.

Now that I think about it, it might be a cool story that Roman has actually had a relationship with another man for a while already. We see him so little, know nothing of his personal life or where he lives. Nobody ever even asks him how he is doing. So, what if he is already in a committed relationship, and brings his "friend" to a family gathering? He could start with introductions and come out immediately, or gradually. It would be perfect at an event like the Horton Family July 4 bbq. (But we'd have to miss Jack and his special burger recipe!)
Maybe some kind of Brady reunion? Hmmmm. I'd love to see Roman very happy and sort of shock all of Salem at the same time...just a little bit...and then move on happily to be a couple who interacts with the other families of Salem. Maybe his partner can also have a past family and children, too.

If they have to do a gay S/l I hope it’s between two adults instead of teens! I haven’t seen any indication that either Will or Chad is gay. I bet Mia would be surprised to find this out. My money is on Taylor and Carly! They both have played gay parts before on other soaps so they would have some experience! And can you imagine the look on Ej’s face when Taylor leaves him for another woman! That would be a kick in the gut! I love it!

Maybe it will be Chloe. She plays a lesbian on the low budget soap that her and Crystal are on. I can't think of the name of it right now.

Venice is the name of the websoap they are both on. There are actually a TON of days actors/actresses on it and who have guest starred on it. it is not a bad show. I watched some of the first season.

^^ Like that would have been the problem for Days? Isn't it funny/sad that Days had no problem letting Max date his two nieces but they think a gay storyline is "taboo".

Yes, but Max wasn't wasn't related by blood, where as Shawn and Philip are....Philip would be Shawn's Uncle right?
