I KNEW I recognized that face!!!! Josh Turner is awesome in concert! I love his songs! Ah man! Only one more week of the story  Oh well. I have fully enjoyed this one and know the remaining week will be just as good! |

THE CHART HOUSE
A.J. dialed Room Service. Melanie finished her business and emerged from the bathroom as A.J. placed the order.
“Hello. This is Alexander Kiriakis in Room 422. I’d like to order breakfast.”
Melanie’s jaw dropped as she heard A.J. tell Room Service his name. He was facing away from her so he didn’t see her freeze in her tracks. How can this be? He can’t be a Kiriakis. He just can’t be. Is it possible that he was no relation to the Kiriakis clan Melanie knew? How many Kiriakises lived in Salem anyway?
Melanie gathered up her clothes which were sprinkled on the hotel room floor. She quietly left the room undetected.
As she rode in the backseat of the taxicab, her head was spinning. Damn. What was she? A Kiriakis magnet? Out of all the gin joints … how on earth did she hook up with him? And why? Was God laughing at her? Was she stuck in some sort of vortex? She took her SmartPhone and looked up Alexander Kiriakis, then A.J. Kiriakis but there was no listing in Salem. She found several A.J. Kiriakises on Facebook, but ran out of patience. She closed her phone as the taxi came to a stop in front of her apartment building. She paid and got out.
Walking into her apartment, she saw a text message from A.J. “Where did you go? Breakfast is here.” She didn’t answer it.
SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
She got a few more phonecalls from him that she ignored as she went about her workday at the hospital. Daniel showed up and Melanie practically jumped into his arms.
“Hey kitten.”
“Dad, I missed you so much. Um … how was the convention.”
“It was very productive. I met some interesting people and learned a thing or two. You okay?”
“Ya, I met some interesting people too.”
“Oh? Like who?”
“Nevermind. Hey, you wanna go out to dinner later? I haven’t had a real meal since you’ve been gone.”
“Dinner is always better when the old man is paying, huh?”
“Something like that. I’m off at 5:00. What time is your shift over, Dad?”
“Not until 8:00. But you go on ahead and I’ll catch up with you.”

Does Mel think she will just be able to run from him & then she will won't have to see him again? He is obviously in town because of his family.
