THE CHART HOUSE
The next morning, Melanie was conked out on the hotel bed. She felt her hair being stroked but didn’t have the strength to open her eyes. She mumbled something.
“What was that?” A.J. laughed at her attempt at speech.
“I said good morning. But it’s too early.”
“Maybe for you. But I have meetings this morning.
“Social worker meetings?” Melanie’s eyes were still closed as she carried on this conversation.
“Actually I’m a lawyer. Well, I will be as soon as I pass the Illinois Bar. I’m shadowing a social worker as part of an unpaid internship.”
Melanie’s eyes opened and she giggled. “Aha! The truth comes out.”
“I hate to … um … rush you, but I really do have a meeting. How about we order breakfast, and then get going?”
Melanie’s brows furrowed as she interpreted this as the brush off.
A.J. read the expression on her face. “I’d like to see you again, Melanie. Can I call you?”
The furrow turned into a grin and she kissed her bed partner. “I’d like that.”
“You know, I’d have to say … this was a surprise. Maybe the nicest surprise of my life.”
“Really? I mean … me too.”
A.J. kissed her and her mind was a haze. She didn’t even know this man, but there was something about him that felt so right, and nothing had felt right in a very long time.
“This seems a little backwards, but could I have your phone number?” He politely asked the question but felt pretty sure of the answer.
Melanie picked up the pad and pen on the nightstand and wrote her number down. She kissed him again. “I gotta go to the little girl’s room. I’ll be right back.”
She slipped her shirt on. As she headed for the bathroom, A.J. called to her. “What do you want for breakfast?”
Melanie closed the bathroom door. “I don’t care. Anything. Everything. I’m hungry.”
“Is there anything you absolutely hate?”
“Kippers. I hate kippers.”
“Duly noted,” said A.J. as he dialed Room Service. Melanie finished her business and emerged from the bathroom as A.J. placed the order.
“Hello. This is Alexander Kiriakis in Room 422. I’d like to order breakfast.”
Melanie’s jaw dropped as she heard A.J. tell Room Service his name.

Love that he is a Kariakis. My first thought that he was one of Justin and Adrienne's sons was right. Boy what a shock for Mel I also wander if he knows that Mel is the Mel that was married to Philip. Can we please have previews for the weekend.

No wonder Mel fell so fast for him!! Poor girl has it bad for those Kiriakis men - and they for her. Even when she's not out to snag one she does.
I'd love a visual too!
Will Phillip make an appearance & find out about Melanie & AJ? Wonder what his reaction would be.....
