Chapter 7
DIMERA MANSION
Johnny was walking around, talking on his cell phone.
JOHNNY: You said she would be here by the weekend! Where is she?
Pause.
JOHNNY: Are you getting smart with me?
Pause.
JOHNNY: Look, pal, you're gonna regret the day you crossed the DiMeras.
Pause.
JOHNNY: Oh, so I'm talking to a funny guy now, huh?
Pause.
JOHNNY: Yeah, that's real funny. You know what else is funny?
There was a knock at the door.
JOHNNY: Whatever.
Johnny hung up his phone. Another knock came to the door.
JOHNNY: Coming! I'm coming! Geez, give me two seconds.
Johnny opened the door. Behind it was a young woman, of about 21. She had a hair color that could almost be considered reddish brown. She was gorgeous.
JOHNNY: Well, is this my lucky day or what?
PARK
Ceri was still holding Sydney, who was feeling much better.
SYDNEY: Thanks again for taking care of me during my freak out.
CERI: No problem, Syd. Like I said, I'll always be here to help you.
Marlena ran up.
MARLENA: Oh my gosh! Sydney, are you okay?
SYDNEY: Yeah, Grandma. I'm fine. What are you doing here?
MARLENA: Ceri called me. She said you were having another flashback. It took me a little while, but I had Roman trace the call and I came here.
SYDNEY: I did have a flashback, but Ceri helped me through it.
MARLENA: Good. That's good.
SYDNEY: Oh, by the way, I should probably introduce you two. Ceri, this is my Grandma Marlena. Grandma, this is Ceri.
MARLENA: We, um, we met over the phone.
CERI: Yeah, but it's nice to finally meet you in person. Syd's told me a lot about you.
MARLENA: She's told me a lot about you, too. So, Sydney, how are you?
SYDNEY: I'm okay. Ceri helped me calm down while I was freaking out. So, I'm feeling a lot better now.
MARLENA: Good. So, are you two still on your date?
SYDNEY: I hope we are. If Ceri still wants to have our date.
CERI: Of course I do, if you think you're up for it.
SYDNEY: I am.
MARLENA: Well, all right, then. I will see you two later.
SYDNEY: Okay, bye Grandma.
CERI: I'l walk Sydney over to your house after the date's over.
Marlena walked away.
SYDNEY: So, do you still want to go see that movie?
CERI: Yeah, if you do. I'm happy with doing whatever you wanna do. I just want to make sure you're okay.
SYDNEY: Yeah, I'm better. Thanks to you.
CERI: So, what do you wanna do?
SYDNEY: Let's go see that movie.
CERI: Sounds good to me.
Ceri and Sydney walked off together towards the theater.
