Knowing jkjpatch, there probably IS a twist. I wouldn't have thought that Maggie would be a suspect because she liked his cookies soooooooooooooo much!!

Bo and Roman were funny needing a break after writing down a few things. Love the comments about the lipstick and narrowing down the list of suspects. I'm looking forward to the conclusion.

After being arrested, Madison James was found guilty of murder in the first degree in what the prosecution labeled an open-and-shut case. She was sentenced to life imprisonment with no chance for parole, and she was locked up in the Illinois State Penitentiary.
KIRIAKIS MANSION
Victor: Philip, I would like to formally offer you the position of CEO of Titan.
Philip: I need to think about it.
Victor: What???
Philip: I need to consider my options.
Victor: What happened to Titan being your birthright? I thought you wanted this job.
Philip: I do. I just don’t like being treated like an afterthought, like your last best hope.
Victor: Would you like to see me grovel?
Philip: Sure. That would be great.
DIMERA MANSION
Stefano: Ah Katherine. What is wrong? Why so glum?
Kate: It’s nothing.
Stefano: I should think you’d be dancing in the streets. Your biggest business rival is in prison for life.
Kate: That’s not exactly how I wanted to best her.
Stefano: I see. And I suppose you preferred besting her in the bedroom?
Kate: Pardon?
Stefano: You slept with her husband!
Kate: What? Stefano, I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Stefano: Save it, Katherine. You forget, I know everything that goes on. You can have no secrets from me.
Kate: I can ... I can explain.
Stefano: No need, my dear. And you needn’t fear me. This little misadventure will only make our bond stronger, yes? I made certain that Ian McAllister ... or shall I say Vincent Moroni ... is out of your life for good. I never much cared for the Moroni mob family anyway. Too stereotypical. No imagination.
Kate: You had him killed?
Stefano: Poor man. He should have stayed in witness protection. It was safer for him there.
Kate: My god, Stefano.
Stefano: And as a bonus, Madison James is OOB. Out of business. For life! Ha ha ha. For “life,” get it?
Kate: And what are you going to do to me?
Stefano: Why nothing, cara. All I expect from you is your undying grrrratitude.
KIRIAKIS MANSION
Philip takes out his cell phone and dials a number.
Philip: Hi sweetie. Hey, I have a question for you. Are you and Parker ready to move back to Salem?

Ahhhh poor Madison. I love the twist that Stefano did it. Kate is never going to get out of debt to Stefano. I feel sorry for Madison. Thanks for the great story.

Well DD. You're better than I am. I was hoping for the death penalty for Madison.
Love the twist, but I just can't beleive that Stefano is going to just drop it like that. There's gotta be more.

Thanks for a great story Kpatch. I loved the twist that Stefano had Ian/Vincent killed and set Madison up to take the fall. Good riddance to both of them. I loved Philip wanting Victor to grovel.

Hey everyone. Thanks for reading this story and for your interest and comments. I love reading your thoughts as you travel these fanfics with me.
My aim with It's Just Business was to kill two birds, Ian and Madison, with one stone. As for Stefano, I do believe he has plans for Kate. She’ll be on a very short leash and I wouldn’t want to trade places with her. No sequel is planned for this one, but I appreciate your enthusiasm!
On Monday, the next part of the Phloe saga continues. It picks up where Twist of Fate left off. I’ll post a preview over the weekend.
