Rafe is a funny drunk. Can't wait to hear the conversation when he's sober.

CARRIE: Now what do I do with you? ^^ I have a handful of suggestions for Carrie. This chapter was adorable. Drunk Rafe is very amusing. I'm glad Carrie doesn't take advantage of drunk sleeping men (aka Austin), unlike Sami and Abby.

FIVE MINUTES EARLIER, IN THE PARKING LOT OUTSIDE CARRIE’S APARTMENT
Sami looks in the window at Carrie’s living room. She has followed Rafe from the Cheatin’ Heart. Instead of trying to talk to Rafe outside the apartment building, she has decided to wait to see want he wants with Carrie before she talks to him. It’s clear that Rafe is highly drunk. Sami watches as he stumbles into the room and falls onto the couch. Carrie sits in his lap but then walks to the door, opens it, just as quickly closes it, and then goes back to the couch. She touches Rafe’s hair and then kisses his cheek.
SAMI: That BITC H! I can’t believe she’s doing this to me again!
Sami storms back towards her car. As she unlocks her door, she notices Carrie’s car parked a few spots over. She wants to slam a bat through each window, but, sadly, she left her bat at home. Instead, she spots a large construction nail on the ground.
SAMI: (Half smiles) Hmmm. This could work. (Places the nail under the front left tire of Carrie’s car) Try to not drive over that, bitch.
MEANWHILE, AT SAMI’S APARTMENT
ALLIE: Will? Why was Mommy so sad earlier? WILL: What do you mean? ALLIE: She said she was sad because she made Rafe sad. What did she do that made Rafe so sad? WILL: (Rubs his neck) Um…I..uh… ALLIE: Does that mean that Mommy can get back together with Daddy? WILL: What? ALLIE: Well, I like Rafe. He seems a lot better since I came back from Hong Kong, but I miss Daddy. If Mommy isn’t with Rafe, does that mean she can be with Daddy now? WILL: Why are you asking about this now? ALLIE: While I was visiting Daddy, he kept saying how much he missed Mommy and how much he wished we could be a family again. Don’t you want Daddy to be with Mommy? WILL: (Sighs) I don’t know. (Smiles at her) I know I want you to be happy. What would make you happy? ALLIE: I want Daddy to come home. Ooh! Can I call him? WILL: (Smiles) I think that would be a great idea.

I love when you add in their common manorisms.. Will rubbing his neck... Carrie doing that thing with her cheek.... I'm sure if Hope was in this story she would be raising an eyebrow.

LOL at leaving the bat home. I could just see Sami lose her temper like that. In this case, I really don't blame her. Looking forward to seeing what happens when Rafe wakes up. Thanks for the chapter DD.

CARRIE’S APARTMENT, 7:30 PM
Rafe wakes up in a contorted position. He sits up and rubs his neck as he looks around. His head is pounding and his mouth is dry like the desert.
RAFE: Where am I? Why does my head hurt so much? And why am I so thirsty?
Blurry memories of drinking at the Cheatin’ Heart begin to come back to him. Slowly, he starts to remember his conversation with Adrienne and how he came to see Carrie.
RAFE: Carrie. (Looks around and calls out) Carrie? (Louder) Carrie?!
Not hearing a response, he decides to leave, not really knowing where he’ll go. Once in the parking lot, he remembers that he came by cab and that his car is still at the Cheatin’ Heart.
RAFE: Dammit!
SAMI’S APARTMENT, TWENTY MINUTES LATER
Will is watching TV with Allie while Johnny and Sydney play in their room. There’s a knock on the door.
WILL: (Opens the door) Rafe! I didn’t expect to see you. RAFE: Is your mother home? WILL: No. I picked the kids up at school and I haven’t seen her since this morning. You look terrible, man. No offense. RAFE: None taken. Can I come in? WILL: Of course! (Johnny comes out of his room) JOHNNY: Rafe!!! (Runs over to Rafe) RAFE: (Scoops up Johnny) Hey there, big guy. JOHNNY: Allie says Mommy made you sad. RAFE: Yeah, she did. JOHNNY: Are you mad at her? RAFE: At Mommy? A little. JOHNNY: Allie says that you’re going to leave now. Are you? RAFE: Um, I don’t know, big guy. That something that me and Mommy will have to talk about. JOHNNY: Allie says that, when you go, her Daddy is going to come live with us instead. RAFE: (Looks at Will) Oh really? WILL: (Grins sheepishly) She and I talked about it, that’s all. RAFE: (To Johnny) Well, Allie’s Daddy is a great guy and I think it would be really nice if he came for a visit. JOHNNY: My Daddy’s pretty cool too. RAFE: (Sets Johnny down) He’s something alright. WILL: Johnny, why don’t you and Sydney go clean up your toys? It’s almost time for bed. JOHNNY: Ok. Rafe? Will you tuck me in? RAFE: Sure, little man. I’ll be in there in a few minutes. (Johnny runs off, Rafe turns to Will) Where is your mother? WILL: Dude, I haven’t seen her since this morning. I don’t know where she is. I’d say this isn’t like her, but we both know that’s not true. RAFE: (Exasperated) Great. I’m going to pack up my things and go before she gets back. WILL: For what it’s worth, I’m really sorry man. RAFE: It certainly isn’t your fault. But she and I both have issues we need to deal with. WILL: I’m assuming you guys are gonna get a divorce. RAFE: Let’s just say that it would be better for all of us if your mother and I aren’t together. WILL: You know, I may hate her sometimes, but I really do worry about her. RAFE: (Puts his hand on Will’s shoulder) I know. She’s lucky to have you in her corner, even if you hate her. WILL: (Shrugs, but smiles) So now what? RAFE: It’s time for me to think about what I want.

Rafe has always treated Will like an adult and he's the only one who never lies to the kids. Good chapter DD.

I really liked the interaction between Rafe, Will and the kids. Johnny is too cute. I really liked his comment about EJ and Rafe's response.
